Back to Work....ARGGHHHH

All good things must come to an end, that includes awesome extended weekends that has had to have been my favorite weekend in some time. It's time to stick our noses back on that dreaded grindstone for yet another week of doing what it is we do during the work week.

Weather has been absolutely beautiful the entire time we have been off, both in DC and here it has been in the upper 70's and lower 80's all weekend. We managed to give our grill a couple of good workouts this weekend since this wonderful weather was among us.

Spring has to be my favorite season. It's a time when the beauty of the foliage starts to return and those wonderful smells emanate through your nostrils bringing them to a state of euphoria. It's a time when the weather is warm, and I am in my favorite weekend attire of shorts and sandals. I'm driving LP around town with the windows down and the sunroof open. This is definitively my favorite time of the year without question.

Nothing really on the agenda for the week ahead, although next Sunday is Easter Sunday. Michelle's niece is going to do an Easter Dinner up north in Monaca PA, but we have decided that we're going to do our own dinner here. I know Chad and Laiah are heading up north and I think they are taking Hayley with them, so it will just be the two of us.

We did stop by the site of our Pic Nic at Krepps Park in July. I think this is going to work out well there. We have an over-sized charcoal grill, nine nice sized pic nic tables, four outlets, running water, lights a swimming pool with rest room facilities right beside it and a playground. Now it's time to start getting together with everyone else and start planning.

Have a great day.

What a Weekend

Here I sit once again on a quiet Sunday Morning. I'm the first one up as everyone else is in lala land. I'm up watching the WVU Spring Game that was played yesterday.

I played around with the new camera as you can see, this is a color picker feature that I wanted to try. The image is supposed to look like this, and I thought this was a real good opportunity to test this out.

The weather has been perfect the last few days, when we were in DC for the Cherry Blossom Festival  and yesterday afternoon when we fired up the BBQ grill once again. Speaking of the BBQ grill, we're firing it up once again this evening as we enjoy this beautiful Spring weather. I Love Spring.

Have a great day and enjoy the great Spring Day.

Returning Home

Here I sit in a quiet hotel room, Michelle is still sleeping right behind me and I'm up collecting my thoughts in the early wee hours of the morning. The Sandman kicked both of our butts pretty hard last night.

I managed to grab a lot of pictures yesterday when we were in DC. We brought Michelle's Surface Computer down so I'll have to wait until we get home to take all the images off of my camera and share them with everyone. I turned on the GPS feature, so everything was geotagged. Maybe we'll see if I can do a KMZ so everyone can see what we saw and where we saw it.

We had a wonderful day yesterday, starting off with catching the Cherry Blossoms in peak at the Tidal Basin, to seeing the Declaration of Independence to spending quite a few hours in the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum to the Botanical Gardens and the Capital Building, we had a very busy day and we did it all on foot once again.

Today we'll be getting up and eating breakfast and heading back home.

It was a great trip.

It's a DC Kind of Day

Hello everyone, we're here in Gaithersburg Maryland getting ready to start our day. We'll go and eat breakfast soon and then it will be off to the DC Metro's Shady Grove location and heading into the hear of our nations capital to see the cherry blossoms.

We have our alternative plan worked out in case of bad weather, but we will be in the heart of DC today.

This is the second year we have tried to do this, last year it wasn't that successful but this year we have nailed it. I know we're both super excited to spend the day there.

There are a number of Geocaches we may try to get this year that we didn't last year. Most of our time will be spent at the National Mall as that is where everything that we want to see is located.

Have a great day.

Photo Flashback Thursday

Once a week I like to take a little bit of time out and look through my pictures. the lost moments in time that I have either taken, scanned or stolen off of the internet through the years and select just one picture. One picture to write a little blog about and reflect upon. Sometimes this is pretty easy (like today) and sometimes it's not that easy, it is however, always a whole lot of fun.

Today's picture was actually a pretty easy one for me to choose. Yes that is the White House behind me and that is where we will leave for this afternoon as we head towards DC once again. We'll be staying tonight in Gaithersburg and taking the Red Line of the Metro into the heart of DC tomorrow morning bright and early to see the Cherry Blossoms.

This picture was from last year, and it was me and my travel gnome in making our way around our Nations Capital. I'll have my camera in tow with me tomorrow, and hopefully get some nice shots. It is going to be a photographers dream, I can just see the color and smell they Cherry Blossoms now. Until I leave at lunch today..

Hump Day

Well that is two down for me, and I'm over half way there as we are leaving tomorrow afternoon. My lovely wife Michelle, this is her Friday as she will be off the next two days. As far as everyone else is concerned, just poke your head up over that noon time hump, just on the other side of a photo flashback and when I will be in DC, ans you can see the dawn of another weekend off in the distance.

Like I said, this is Michelle's last day this week as she will be taking the next two days off as we plan on heading east for a couple of days.

Yesterday was the end of life date for Windows XP Computers. Microsoft is no longer going to patch them or give any support for this product. If you are still running XP, as more and more time goes by your system will become more and more vulnerable. If you have not upgraded to Vista, 7 or 8 (or Mac) your system might start to become vulnerable to attacks. It was Microsoft's best and longest lasting Operating System, one that we still have computers at work running, but now they are all going to have to be put on a subnet and denied access to anything. I have three systems at my desk, one is an XP but we are going to upgrade that to 7 once the keys come in.

We have a solid set in stone date and location for this years Pic Nic. We have the large Krepp's Pavilion on July 6, 2014. Mom called me yesterday morning and basically said what days work and time is running out. So a few phone calls to see what was available and a chance to see what weekends people could not do, and this is what we come up with. The shelter is ours that day, there is a big playground right beside it and a swimming pool as well. We'll be in the shade or under cover, so it won't get too hot or we won't get rained on. Date and location is set, now it's time to start planning.

Tuesday's Tidbits

* Here we are once again, Monday is in our rear view mirrors and we are staring straight down the barrel of a Tuesday. Other than the blue footed booby mating with a Camen Alligator and living to tell about it, I can't think of a better reason to do a tidbits.

*  2,215 days ago I had the unique pleasure of going out on my first date with a wonderful woman.

* 1,439 days ago I got down on one knee and asked for her hand in marr

* 976 days ago at the Marilla Center we got hitched, and we fed quite a few people on that day.

* I have 6,446 days give or take a few hundred one way or the other until I retire.

* There are 267 more days of blogging I have to write before I can write my Goodbye 2014 end of the year blog.

* There are 261 more shopping days left until Christmas, no need to procrastinate, Walmart probably still has Christmas stuff on clearance from last year.

* In 152 more days we'll be once again setting sail  out on the Atlantic Ocean and headed way down South for Grand Turk.

* I have 120 days until my third Wedding Anniversary.

* 106 days until the Parrot Heads once again unite in Pittsburgh as Jimmy Buffett is coming to town for his yearly visit.

* 74 more days to go until SUMMERTIME!!!!!!

* This is my 3,603rd Blog. It may not be much to read from day to day, but it is a very nice documentation of my life over the last close to 10 years that I started doing this. I've written about everything from my opinion, to softball, to geocaching, to people I have met, places I have gone and things I have done.

* It's looking like we might see some rain in DC later this week when we visit. I'm actually OK with that, too many things to see and do to worry about a little precipitation.

* Anyone getting any ideas for a date on a pic nic? It's time to pick a date and grab a pavilion before they are all reserved.

* Michelle and I are continuing to watch Breaking Bad on Netflix, we're about half way through season 4 and it gets better and better with each passing episode.

* We really need to start doing more family outings, time is going by, we are all getting older and it's just needed.

* This is actually Hump Day for Michelle as she is off Thursday and Friday.

* Hi ho hi ho

Back to Work

All good things must come to an end, and unfortunately for me that includes those fun filled things that we tend to enjoy so much called weekends. Now it's time to stick our noses back on the grindstone for another fun filled week of work so we have the resources to enjoy the times we are not at work.

It's actually going to be a short workweek for me, we are going to be leaving for Washington DC on Thursday afternoon for the Cherry Blossom Festival. Checking out the live Web Cam we might just be getting lucky and hitting this at Peak Period. I'm starting to get super excited, I know we tried this last year and just seemed to miss them, but looks like we might be hitting it this year at it's peak!!!!

It'll be nice to get out of town this weekend, Hayley is living with us so she'll be taking care of the animals for a couple of days while we are away.

Looking at a couple of week time period, I know Michelle has a total of six Birthdays on her side of the family during this time period and obviously as you have read by a previous blog my Sister's birthday is today as well.

Earlier this year I singed up for a five week course as a refresher at Coursera for Maps and the Geospatial Revolution taught by Penn State. I figure it would be a nice little refresher course for me. If anyone is interested in taking free college level classes, check our Coursera's Course Catalog.

Hi ho hi ho

Happy Birthday Terri Beth Rehmani

I would like to take this opportunity to wish by beautiful Sister Terri the happiest of Birthdays today.

Terri is one of the best sisters a man could ever ask for, she is loved by everyone who ever meets her and she always makes people feel more than welcomed.

I'm not sure what Nick has planned today, you know since it is her 21st birthday again, but if you happen to see Terri, make sure that you take a little bit of time out and wish this very special lady a Happy Birthday today.

Thank You for all you have done for me Terri, Love Ya and have a Happy Birthday today.

Early Sunday Morning

Here I sit once again in the early AM, I'm the first one to recover from getting my butt kicked by that dreaded Sandman last night and am up watching Man of Steel on HBO. The Household is quiet as Michelle and all the animals are in dream land.

Well we had a pretty good day yesterday to say the least. We started off with doing a little bit of Geocaching, including doing a little bit of maintenance to our own Cache. We have another one set up to go, a larger one that we have had ready for a few years, we just have never put it out yet. We also have a couple of travel bugs that we need to set up and put out as well.

We both agreed we need to do a little bit more geocaching this year, we did a grand total of six last year and we already have three this year. It's time to get those numbers up a little ...LOL

Yesterday afternoon we finally broke in our Kettle Grill. We put a couple really thick and juicy New York Strip Steaks on the grill and I have to say they turned out amazing. I used to like my steaks well done, but that was overcooked. Then I liked Medium well, cooked all the way through but still juicy. Now I'm at a point where I am liking medium, still has pink in the middle but oh the taste. The older I get the less cooked I want it. This was the first time cooking with the Kettle Grill, the large Gas one is still under the tarp from the winter, and I have to say I really have gotten a whole new appreciation for charcoal cooking. We absolutely love this grill.

Have a great day

Saturday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit once again in the early AM, the first to recover from the butt kicking I took from that dreaded Sandman last night and am up already watching Top Gun on HBO and collecting my thoughts on the day.

Weather permitting today I would like to get out and around for a little while. I think the best way to do that is maybe start Geocaching for the year. It's a hobby that we do love, but really don't do enough of and it is great exercise. There have been a large number of Caches added to the Morgantown area over the past year, maybe this will give us something to do today, weather permitting.

I think we are ready to finally break in our Webber Grill sometime today. It was our Valentines day gift to each other, but have yet to give it its first workout, much less the first grilling of 2014. A much welcomed event after the long drawn out winter that we have had. You can see that our daffodils have already sprung and have said screw this winter crap, our turn!

I do have to say that I love this time of the year, it's when everything wakes up and is renewed after a cold and freezing period. It's a time of shorts and sandals and outdoor activities. It's a time when you don't have to warm your car up in the morning before you go to work or have to remove any snow from any vehicles.

The weather is supposed to be beautiful in DC this coming week, hopefully we hit the Cherry Blossoms at their peak and get some great pictures. I'm looking forward to it.

Have a great day and enjoy your Saturday!!!

Big Ole Hairy Friday

Yes it is once again that time of the week that we all look foreword to, when we can take time to cease the labors for the week and take a little bit of needed time out to enjoy the fruits of those labors. It is once again the dawn of another weekend, and a Big Ole Hairy Friday.

Well I can't say that I am not welcoming this Friday, this has been one heck of a week so far to say the least.

We're traveling next weekend, so we're probably going to come up with an itinerary for Friday so we can see what we want to see when we are in DC. It's back to the Smithsonian for sure and hopefully the Cherry Blossoms will be in bloom, other than that it's going to be pot luck to see what we want to see.

This weekend will probably depend on what the weather is going to be like. I would like to break out the grill and do a little bit of BBQing, but that all depends on how the weather holds up.

Out to dinner and Sam's club is what is on our agenda for this evening, no idea where we'll go yet, I always tend to wait until the last minute. Hopefully we can get out and maybe do a little geocaching for the first time in 2014.

Photo Flashback Thursday

Once a week I like to take a little bit of time out and look through all of my pictures. Little lost moments in time that I have either taken, scanned or stolen from the internet that has some kind of a significance in my life or those around me. Sometimes it's pretty easy to find that one special picture for the week and sometimes it's not that easy. One thing that it always is however is a whole lot of fun.

This weeks picture is from where we will be heading this time next week. To Washington DC. The picture that you see here is the World War I Memorial. It's a small memorial south of the reflecting pond that seems to go unnoticed by many of the visitors.

My Grandfather who raised me was a veteran of WWI, as well as I believe his brother was as well, but I could be wrong about that.

AS Michelle and I was walking around the south end of the reflecting pool, towards the much more prevalent WW II Memorial and the Washington Monument, we stopped by this memorial briefly.

There are so many war memorials at the National Mall that some very significant ones tend to get overlooked by later more elaborate Memorials. None really any more important than the other, but all very significant in our nations history.

Tuesday's Tidbits on a Wednesday

* Well since yesterday was my April Fools edition of my blog, I had to move my tidbits that usually runs on Tuesdays till today. The blue footed booby is still partying, so I still can't think of a better reason to do a tidbits.

* It has been 2,207 days since Michelle and I went out on our first date together a few years ago. We have done a lot together since then.

* 1,433 days ago I got down on one knee and proposed marriage to this wonderful woman.

* 960 days ago in front of our closest friends and family, we exchanged our martial vows.

* I've got about 6,452 more days to go until I retire, give or take a few hundred.

* 273 days to go until my Goodbye 2014 Blog is written. I need to start getting some more content.

* 267 more shopping days left until Christmas, if you like to get an early start, you have plenty of time to go.

* In 158 days we once again set sail out on the Atlantic Ocean towards the Caribbean once again. This will be our third cruise together and the last on this version of the Carnival Pride before it goers into dry dock this winter and gets a complete overhaul.

* 126 days to go until our third Wedding Anniversary.

* 112 days to go until we party down with Jimmy Buffett and the rest of the Pittsburgh area Parrotheads.

* Only 80 days to go until SUMMER!!!!!!!!!

* This is my 3,596th blog post. I'll be celebrating my tenth year as a blogger this year. I will be celebrating it on Grand Turk.

* We'll be traveling next week, we are heading back to Washington DC for the Cherry Blossom Festival . We are hoping to catch them in their peak, but you never know. We went down last year and they had not peaked yet. Hopefully we'll have some more luck this year.

* We'll be spending much of the day again at the Smithsonian again, much we have not seen and would love to see.

*  We have made it down to the trails a couple of times this week already, Monday we took Sadie and Gracie and that just wasn't a good trip. Sadie is getting very old and may be nearing a time that we would all regret. Blind, no teeth, deaf and losing her way even around the house.

* I am still thinking we need to do a pic nic this summer. Everyone has been very receptive towards it, now we just need to find a day or a date that does not conflict with anyones schedules. To my siblings who will be attending, what days do or do not work for you. What days do not conflict with previous plans or parties?

* We have our grill assembled, now all we need is nice weather and a big bag of meat to throw on it. We've still got the big gas one that we are going to use, but I'm ready to break out the charcoal one.

* Does anyone else have any ideas for family get togethers this summer?

* Hi ho hi ho

Hump Day

Well that is two days down, now if you look up over that noon time hump, you know just on the other side of a Photo Flashback, you'll be able to see the dawn of yet another weekend off in the distance.

I'm telling you that this week is just flying by, we'll be at another weekend in no time at this pace.

I did learn that I am going to have to have surgery in the very near future. It seems that I have a bad Eponychium and that it is going to have to be removed. I've let this thing go and go and have just ignored all of them for years, but now I have one that is going bad because I didn't take care of it and we are going to need to schedule surgery in the very near future.

I am a little nervous about this operation and procedure to say the very least, Dihydrogen Monoxide in excessive doses heated to a non natural state may be the surgical procedure that we choose, but that will only be after I consult my Topographologist and a Cartographicologist to see what the best plan of action could be.

Oh no Oh no...better check your date =)

Back to Work

All good things, even when they are filled with that ugly thing called snow, must come to an end. This includes those fun filled things that we like ton relax and refer to as weekends. Have I ever mentioned I Hate Snow? Now it's time to stick our noses back on the grindstone and get back to doing what we do during the work week.

At least the weather for the week ahead is much better than it was for the weekend behind, it's calling for temperatures above 60° all week. What would really be nice is if that extended into the weekend for once. It's time to get out and about, not staying home with cabin fever.

Anyways looking at the week ahead nothing other than some ring inspections and cleanings that are due for their semiannual inspection at JB Robinson's.

We need to start planning on going back to the Cherry Blossom Festival, they should be nearing peak in the next couple of weeks and we would like to return for that. We went down last year and are talking about returning this year, hopefully we can get the peak period.

Have a great day.

Sunday Morning "I Hate Snow" Blog

Here I sit once again on a quiet Sunday morning, I'm the first to recover with that dreaded battle with the Sandman from last night and am sitting in a quiet and peaceful household collecting my thoughts. I'm watching the Watch on HBO and am just surfing the net and drinking a diet orange soda from the Soda Stream. Yummmm

Has anyone seen the weather forecast for today? What happened to the nice weather I thought that we were supposed to have? It's supposed to be in the 70's on Tuesday and we get this crap on our days off? Have I ever mentioned that I Hate Sow? Not just a little bit, it's a vile hatred at this point in the year, I'm more than ready to retire snow for the season, we've had enough of it this year. Come back on Christmas Eve.

We did have a pretty productive day yesterday, I finally got our grill put together and it's all ready to go. Assembled, covered and plenty of charcoal purchased as well as a few select accessories to go along with it including a nice charcoal chimney and I even purchased baked potato nails yesterday. I'm ready for grilling season, I'm just waiting on the weather to cooperate.

Normal day for us, shopping, laundry and normal Sunday get ready for the workweek routine for us today. We already have our menu planned out for the week, synced to Evernote  and ready to go.

Have a great day.

Saturday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit once again in a quiet household and the first to recover from a losing battle with that dreaded Sandman last night. I'm up surfing the web and listening to whatever is playing on the TV. Hayley is out of town for the night as she is staying with her boyfriend down in Bridgeport.

It's calling for rain this afternoon, which means we probably won't be hitting the trails this afternoon as originally hoped. We have no plans for the day, but something tells me we'll find something to get into.

I managed to buy my Jr year Yearbook from High School on Ebay. It arrived yesterday and is the first time that I have saw it, although as I was looking through it it was a little deja vu as I felt maybe I have been it before. I only purchased my Sr year yearbook, and now I have this one as well.

The WVU Baseball team used a Grand Slam to help them defeat the Baylor Bears 8-7 in 12 innings yesterday at Appalachian Power Park in Charleston. I was watching a little of it yesterday at work, but it was 2-2 when I stopped and didn't get an update until this morning.

Have a great day.

Well to say that this has been an eventful week would be an absolute understatement. As some may know and some do not, Michelle had health issue of concern over this week and had a short hospital stay for observation purposes and run some tests. Rest assured it was a wake up call for both of us, even though all of the tests came back looking good. Something tells me we will be heading to the rails to trails this year with a great deal more frequency than last year.

Nothing planned for the weekend yet, we're going to be an empty nest for the weekend, Hayley is heading down to Bridgeport tonight to spend some time with her boyfriend and will be baby sitting tomorrow night. It's time for Michelle and I to party party party!!!!!!

I'm not sure if I have ever mentioned it, but I Hate Snow. I'm not blaming Phil this year, it's Mother Nature who has not been cooperating. Being we had our first snowfall in October and it is now March, I think I can speak for everyone and say we're done with Winter. It's Spring, bring the birds and the flowers. It's the Southern Hemispheres turn to have this crap.

Have a great day, except you Mother Nature.

Photo Flashback Thursday

Once a week I like to take a little bit of time out, time to reflect upon all of the pictures that I have either taken, scanned or stolen off the internet through the years. One lost moment in time to post up and briefly relive and write a little blog about. Sometimes it's pretty easy finding that special picture or image and sometimes it's not so easy. It is however, always a whole lot of fun. It gives me a chance to reflect back upon my time and share a moment with everyone.

This weeks picture goes back a few years to a Rosiak 4th of July Party. Miss Layla was about a year and a half old in this picture. This was Michelle's second 4th of July party at the Rosiaks with me, and this was one of those lost moments in time with my sweetie and Layla.

Hump Day

Here we are again, about ready to go up and over that work week hump. If you look just on the other side of noon, just on the other side of a Photo Flashback, you can see the dawn of another fun filled weekend peering off in the distance.

Well yesterday Kaiden had his tonsils and adenoids removed at the hospital. He went in to surgery and recovered fine. Ang was once again a big help to Amy, well anyone who is having surgery, as Amy was a bit nervous yesterday morning.

I halfway considered going to the WVU-Pitt Baseball game yesterday afternoon, but I have to monitor a few things about my health and didn't bring what I needed to bring in case I missed my window. It was the first home game of the season, and it was a might bit chilly, hence why I didn't make it.

We'll be making our Spicy Sausage Rigatoni this evening for dinner, since we have a few requests we're going to make a big batch and try to accommodate a few people wanting to try it. It's probably my favorite pasta dish that we make, and I know Hayley feels the same way.

Have a great day

Tuesday's Tidbits

* Well that dreaded and dreary first day of the workweek that we like to call Monday is now behind us, stomped to death by the blue footed booby and the sloth working in tandem together. I can't think of a better reason than that to do a tidbits.

* It has been 2,201 days now since Michelle and I went out on our first date together, if I play my cards right she just might keep me.

* It was 1,425 days ago that I got down on one knee and proposed marriage to this wonderful woman.

* 962 days of Marital bliss we have enjoyed together. I waited a long time to find someone who could put up with me for very long, I was fortunate enough to find her.

* I have 6,460 days to go until I retire, give or take a few and if I am lucky.

* Only 281 days to go until my infamous Goodbye 2014 Blog appears right here. I've got lot's of time left this year for content.

* If you start early Christmas Shopping and you want to give yourself a little leeway, you have 275 days to go.

* 166 days to go until we once again set sail on the Carnival Pride heading way down south. The whole trip counting from Morgantown and return is about 2,600 miles total, most of which of course is on water.

* 134 days to go until our third Wedding Anniversary.

* 120 days to go until we head north to see Jimmy Buffett in concert once again.

* Only 88 more days to go until Summer!!!!

* This is my 3,588th blog post for this blog.

* So much for all my numerical tidbits this week.

* I think we are all long overdue in having a Summer (or Spring) Family Cookout or get together this year. I've dropped the hint in everyone who would goes ears, now we'll have to wait and see how it all pans out.

* Renting a big shelter for the day is only $100.00, I would be willing to pick up that cost if we can all agree on an available date and location. Preferably either Marilla  or Krepps as both of these places have swimming pools.

* There is always a Coopers Rock or a Dorsey's Knob option as well.

* Hayley is still putting things away and getting her room organized from the move this past weekend, but it is coming along quite nicely. I left my Smart TV mounted to the wall in that room, so that upgraded her TV that she brought. We put that one in our room, and left her the cable box and everything else.

* I missed Maxine "Nana" Snider's 91st Birthday Sunday, a very belated birthday wish to her.

* Have I ever mentioned that I Hate Snow?

* Hi ho hi ho

Monday

All good things must unfortunately come to an end, and that includes those fun filled things we call weekends. It's now time to put those fun filled days behind us and prepare to stick our noses to that grindstone for another week of work.

I can't say that it wasn't a productive weekend as we did get Hayley moved in and did get our chores AND a nap in yesterday afternoon. You can't overlook the value of a nice nap on a cold day.

Looking at the week ahead, it's springtime but it's actually calling for snow in tomorrows forecast, so no need to run out and buy bread, milk and toilet paper, we'll survive this.

We bought the movie Anchorman 2 yesterday on Amazon. Not quite as good as the original, but still star studded and still pretty funny. It did make for a nice Sunday afternoon movie to watch and relax to. It was pretty star studded and offered quite a few one liners.

Have a great day.

Sunday

Once again here I sit in a quiet household, and I wasn't even the first one to lose a battle with that dreaded Sandman last night. Hayley was zonked out way before me, but I'm actually the first one to fully recover.

Thanks to Chad and Laiah as well as my lovely wife Michelle, we nailed that short 4 hour window that we had yesterday with the U-Haul with time to spare. We had to make trips to multiple locations including Chad and Laiah's storage until to place a few items, but we made it with time to spare.

My hallway is cluttered with boxes that she needs to unpack, but that is really not a time sensitive issue as they are here because it is here, just a little inconvenient walking down the hallway. That problem will be eliminated as she slowly organizes and puts things away.

Today's schedule will consist of us doing our Sunday morning grocery shopping, as well as taking Hayley to work this morning, and our normal chores. We've been going since Wednesday getting the room ready and preparing it for her, so we can slow down now.

Have a great day.

Saturday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit once again, up early and the first one to recover from that dreadful losing battle with the Sandman. I swear yesterday morning I was woke up tires and was like that the entire day up until I went to bed.

Well todays schedule is going to be a tight one. We have a four hour window to move Hayley back in. U Haul only has the truck we need for a four hour window and we have to have it back by noon. Everything is ready to go here as Michelle and I have cleaned our old bedroom out and have it ready for her. Chad and Laiah are coming up to help, and they are both absolute work horses, so hopefully this shouldn't be much of a problem.

We did get some absolutely miraculous news yesterday about a family member. I'm still sitting her in total shock after being put in total shock with other news last week. I am using the utmost discrepancy as requested, but if you are close to the situation you are more than relieved today.

I've let my subscription to the Dominion Post online edition expire. We have purchased the year long subscription the last 3 or 4 years, and they have completely changed their format in the last month or so, making it pretty much user unfriendly. Being that we rarely ever use it, I did not renew for the year. If I want to read it, I can purchase a daily edition.

Have a Great Day!!

Well this is going to be a busy weekend for us. Michelle and I have started getting Hayley's room ready for her to move back in this weekend. It was going to be Sunday, but she is going to start bringing things on Saturday. This puts a little extra pressure on Michelle and myself to get everything out and ready for her. Looks like we'll be making some trips to the Goodwill or Salvation Army this weekend to get rid of clothes that neither Michelle or I have worn in years.

Other than that, it's probably in all likelihood going to be a pretty boring weekend. Once we get her all settled in the rest of the time will be ours, but not until.

We have been watching the TV Series Breaking Bad on Netflix. Neither of us watched the show during it's six year run, but after hearing a lot of reviews about it we decided to watch the series. It's kind of nice that we can do it at our pace will all of the episodes in the series available to us.

Have a great day.

Photo Flashback Thursdaay

Once a week I like to take a little bit of time out, time to reflect upon all of the pictures that I have either taken, scanned or stolen off the internet through the years. One lost moment in time to post up and briefly relive and write a little blog about. Sometimes it's pretty easy finding that special picture or image and sometimes it's not so easy. It is however, always a whole lot of fun. It gives me a chance to reflect back upon my time and share a moment with everyone.

This weeks pic in an honor to the season that starts today. SPRINGTIME!!!!!

Springtime, a time of shorts and sandals, a time of cookouts and family gatherings. This weeks pic is one that reflects all of those things. It's a couple grillmasters, my brother in law George and my Uncle Mick handling all of the grilling on this day.

Come to think of it, we need to have a big family cookout this summer. One like this one or one from years passed where we did them at Marilla. We all just need to get together this summer.

Hump Day

If you can manage to peek just over that noon time hump, just on the other side of a Photo Flashback you can start to see the dawn of yet another weekend off in the distance.

Well I will probably be having a busy weekend this weekend. Michelle and I need to get our old bedroom cleaned out as Hayley is moving back home on Sunday. Sunday is her day off when she can move and we need to have it ready to go for her.

She did move out in the beginning of December, moved in with Jared in his parents basement. They have since split up and she has been living there alone and wants to come back home. She has already requested that Michelle's famous Spicy Sausage Rigatoni  be on our menu next week. I think we can comply with that, especially since we were planning on having it on the menu regardless. We'll just let her think that she's special though....LOL

Last Official Day of Winter.

Happy Birthday Amy Dalton

I would like to take this opportunity to wish my very beautiful and vibrant niece Amy a very Happy Birthday today.

The little girl who used to always want to wear dresses has grown up and is now a Mother of two herself.

Amy is a budding photographer, one who just happens to have that eye, you know that creative touch to bring life to just the right picture and she is very good at setting up a scene and a shot.

I'm not sure what Ralph has planned for Amy today, but if you do happen to get a chance to talk to her, make sure that you take a little bit of time out and wish her a very Happy Birthday Today.

Happy Birthday Amy

Tuesday's Tidbits

* Well that dreaded snow covered Monday is now once again behind us. I can't think of a better reason than that to do a tidbits.

* It has been 2,194 days since Michelle and I went out on our first date. It was a day that my life would forever change.

* 1,418 days ago I got down on one knee in the early hours of the morning and asked this wonderful woman to be my wife.

* 955 days ago in front of our closest friends and family at the Marilla Center, we exchanged our wedding vows and then we enjoyed a feast.

* I have 6,467 days to go until I retire, give or take a few.

* 288 more days to write content that will go into my Goodbye 2014 Blog at the end of the year.

* If you are waiting to start your Christmas shopping for this year, you have 288 more days to go until Christmas.

* In 173 more days Michelle and I will be once again setting sail towards the Carribean to break in our new snorkel gear.

* 141 days to go until our third wedding Anniversary.

* We only have 127 more days to go until we all party down with Jimmy Buffett once again.

* Only 2 more days until Spring. I Repeat, only 2 more days to go until Spring. Woo Hoo

* This is my 3,580th blog that I have written for George's Journal. I have an old softball blog and one that I use to tick people off on a website that I post at. It's adult content so I never post it here (Except now) and yes Mom there are midgets. Maybe someday I'll develop that one a little more, but as a parody site more than anything else.

* We did get a nice accumulation of snowfall yesterday morning, goof thing it's all going to melt. Have I ever mentioned I Love Spring?

* Well it appears we are not going to be empty nesters for very long. Michelle told me Hayley wants to move back home. It was fun while it lasted.

* Hi ho hi ho

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Before you leave the house today, you better make sure that you have your green on unless you are wanting to get pinched all day long. It's St. Patrick's Day all day today. If you have Irish in you like me, show your pride today. If you see any midgets holding a pot of gold, catch him and send him over to me.

Well we have another weekend behind us, we managed to get a number of things done including a little bit of visitation with Jean yesterday. That was the first time I had seen her since Christmas Eve, when she was not feeling very well.

Congratulations are in store for the very proud WVU Rifle Team. They won their second consecutive and 16th overall NCAA National Championship over the weekend. Being all the shooters whose scores counted are all underclassmen, it's a good chance to say they are going to go for a three-peat next year.

Surfing around Facebook yesterday I did find a link to a remarkable set of historical Photographs. I sat and slowly looked through them in total amazement. A different perspective on some very historical things and events. I love groups of old historical pictures like this, talk about the real lost moments in time.

Hi ho hi ho and wear your green.

Sunday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit on a quiet Sunday morning, I'm the first one to recover with that losing battle with that undefeated Sandman from last night. Michelle is still feeling the effects of that dramatic battle last night.

We once again dog sat last night as we have surrendered Gracie back to Hayley and have Lilly and the Little Rock of Love as house guests. It's Michael's birthday weekend and they went out of town for the night and we're watching the puppies. Rocky does seem to be doing much much better since being run over by a car before Christmas.

Yesterday there was a new business that opened in Morgantown called My Dive Shop LLC, a store that specialized in scuba and snorkel equipment. Michelle and I have talked about getting our own equipment as opposed to continually renting equipment from the cruise line to do our snorkeling. We purchased our own equipment yesterday and were the very first paying customers. The masks are much nicer than the ones you rent on cruise ships and we bought top of the line snorkels. Ones that will not allow water into the tops and easily lets you expel the water out the bottom and even while under water.

Yesterday was our sixth Anniversary of our first date, so we went out to a late lunch for celebrate the event. Red Lobster was where we ended up going, and like always the food was awesome.

Have a great Sunday and make sure you run out and get bread and toilet paper before we get snow tonight and tomorrow. No worries though, it's supposed to be in the upper 50°'s all week. Looks like Winter is losing it's strength and Mother Nature is allowing Spring to come. Have I ever mentioned that I Hate Snow?

Saturday Morning and Six Years Ago

Here I sit once again on a quiet Saturday Morning, I'm the first one to recover from a losing battle with that dreaded Sandman last night and am up gathering my thoughts for the day.

Today is a special day, it was six years ago today that my life would be forever changed. I went out on my first date with a wonderful woman who would eventually turn out to become my wife. Yes this is the sixth Anniversary of mine and Michelle's first date. My life would change for the better from that day onward. Happy Anniversary Sweetie.

We have a house guest, Hayley's Dog Gracie stayed with us last night as she went out of town for the evening. We watched the hairy little ball of energy and cat tormentor last night.

I think we're going to try to give Sadie a haircut some time this weekend if at all possible. Her hair is starting to get long and before she has a problem with bile getting stuck. we're going to address that before it starts to happen. She is getting old, I think she needs a return to the rails to trails in the very near future.

The things you think of at 4:00 AM in the morning.

Have a great day.

Big Ole Hairy PiDay

It's Pi day (3.14)
Yes it is once again that time of the week that we all look foreword to, when we can take time to cease the labors for the week and take a little bit of needed time out to enjoy the fruits of those labors. It is once again the dawn of another weekend, and a Big Ole Hairy PiDay, or March 14th (3.14).

I can't say it hasn't been a busy week for me, because it has. Last night Michelle and I went out to dinner at Blackbear in Suncrest to have dinner with my GIS mentor JB Churchill. He's actually switching jobs again for one closer to home and we decided to go out to dinner one time before he finished up his job with his current company. It was nice to catch up with him a little, I hadn't seen him in a few years.

No big plans for the weekend so far. We're talking about giving Sadie a haircut since the weather is starting to warm up a little. We did have a cold morning yesterday, but we're due to go back up into the 60's today so I can't complain too much. Winter seems to be sputtering out and I couldn't be happier. Not a big fan of winter and I'm not not sure if I have ever mentioned it before, but I Hate Snow.

Hopefully before long Michelle and I can get our butts down to the rails to trails. I know Sadie probably misses the trails and with Michelle's foot feeling much better this year after her surgery, we should be good to go.

This weeks pic was actually kind of easy. Earlier this week a co-worker walked into my office and said "I saw your mom last night", in a kind of a joking manner. A number of years ago Riverside Church did a play called The Passion and Mom was in it with Chad who played Jesus that year. What he meant was that he and his wife had watched a recording of the play the evening before and my Mom was in it with him.

One night during the plays run, a few of us had went to the church to watch the play. This picture was from one of the nights that the play ran. We all got pictures with Mom and this was one of her and I together.

It was a pretty good evening, I was actually in the middle of a job change that night and found my next job when I e-mailed Chad (or Jesus this night) the next day. He was the Project manager for IMCWV/IBM/NISC depending on which owner you wanted to refer to in my six months there. I left for the DOE and Chad followed a few years later, we now work for the same small company together.

It was a good night for me, Michelle and I were just a few days past our first date, so I guess you can say I was at a crossroads in my life at this point that all worked out for the better.

Hump Day

Two days in the books, now we start to gear down towards another weekend. If you can make it up over the noon time hump, it's all downhill from there until you get to the weekend.

So much for all of this nice weather that we have been having, those 60° days are nothing short of a tease, especially when the temps are going to drop well below freezing tonight. I just hope that we don't get anymore of that white stuff. If we do, my wide says I'm to blame since I got my hair cut earlier this week. She's tired of the snow as I think we all are.

I'm on my own tonight for dinner since Michelle has a hair appointment for this evening. Not sure what will be on my menu, but I'll also be going out again tomorrow night to have dinner with my old mentor in GIS as he is switching jobs and staying closer to home. Come to think of it, we eat out on Fridays as well, so this might be the start of a short streak for me.

For those of you who missed the Skylar Neese story on Dr. Phil, HERE IT IS. I actually learned a few things that I did not know. Rachael's next door neighbor Kim and I used to work as supervisors in the 2000 Census together.

Tuesday's Tidbits

* Well that dreaded little thing called Monday is now behind us and we are heading straight into a Tuesday, can't think of a better reason to do a tidbits.

* It has been 2,187 days since Michelle and I went out on our first date, for those of you counting, that will be 6 years this Saturday.

*  1,411 days ago I got down on one knee at 4:00 in the morning and proposed to make it permanent, she accepted.

* 948 days ago we made it permanent as we exchanged our wedding vows in front of our closest friends and family at the Marilla Center. We also had a nice little feast to go along with the wedding.

* I have 6,474 days to go until I retire, give or take a few.

* I have 295 more days of material to write before I can do my goodbye 2014 year end and wrap up blog. I've got plenty of time.

* You have 289 more shopping days left to go until Christmas. I wonder when Walmart will put their Christmas stuff out. They did it in August last year.

* 180 days to go until we once again set sail on the Carnival Pride again. This will be our last trip on the Pride before it is due to get a complete makeover this fall and Spring.

* I have 148 days to go until our third Wedding Anniversary, but only 4 days until the 6th Anniversary of our first date.

* 134 more days to go until we party down with Jimmy Buffett in Pittsburgh once again. This will be my 8th, Michelle's 7th, Jeans's 3rd and Jerry and Gary's (Gary bought tickets last year and got lost) 2nd. Tickets are still available if you want to join us.

* Only 9 more days to go until Spring. I am so over winter and I'm not sure if I ever mentioned that I Hate Snow.

* This is my 3,573rd Blog post that I have written. I've shared a great deal of my life over the last ten years, and I have it all documented in one place that would be easy to find any previous blog. I have had my high points and low points as a blogger, but I have enjoyed 99.99% of it all. There are always little things that irritate you, like did you set it up to post or airing out dirty laundry, but I have tried to be consistent through the years.

* If you missed the Dateline show of Skyar Neese this past Friday, it's right here .

* I still haven't taken our new grill out of the box, but when the weather finally turns nice for good, we'll break it out and break it in.

* Would you believe they are calling for a high of 61° today and a low tomorrow of 5°, what is up with that?

* Speaking of Jimmy Buffet Concerts, one of the persons we tailgated with in 2010 is now a news reporter in Kansas. A Story she did..

Goodbye Weekend

All good things must come to an end, and that even includes those fun filled things that we love so much and refer to as weekends. It's time to stick our noses back on the grindstone for another fun filled week of work so that we can do the things we enjoy doing on the weekends. Goodbye beloved weekend, hello to a new workweek.

It was nice to get out of town for a few hours this weekend, I get cabin fever around this time of the year and just want to get out and about a little bit. The long cold winter has run it's course and I'm ready for Springtime. I did actually hear birds a singing yesterday morning, so it's starting to get a little closer. I'm waiting to find the first bud on a tree, we did see our first Big Iris's breaking out of the ground yesterday, so it;s getting closer.

The week ahead looks as uneventful as ever, it is that boring time of the year for us. Michelle is going to have her hair done on Wednesday after work, so I'll be on my own for dinner. My mentor in ArcGIS is leaving his job in Clarksburg for a job closer to his home in Frostburg, so we're talking about getting together for dinner one night this week. His old room mate is the guy who started and owns Blackbear, so that might be a good place to head.

Have a great day.

Am I Late???

I would say I'm up early, but that is inaccurate based on my normal schedule. If you didn't set your clocks ahead last night, you might be a a little bit late today.

Had a great day yesterday, it was kind of nice to solve that dreaded cabin fever and  get out and away for a little while.

The WVU Men's Basketball team pulled off a big win yesterday afternoon when they beat #8 Kansas here in Morgantown 92-86 despite former Huntington Prep Star and Kansas Freshman Andrew Wiggin's 41 point effort for Kansas.

I read on Facebook that Morgantown's Primanti Brothers is now open for business, or at least they had a partial opening yesterday, although the website is not updated. Maybe it was a soft opening rather than a Grand opening as someone on Facebook mentioned they were giving away their sandwiches yesterday. probably training the staff. Might have to be making a trip there in the near future as I love Primanti's.If I would have seen one yesterday where we were, I may have ate lunch there.

Normal shopping day for us, no excitement here. Grocery shopping and then returning home and maybe a few errands.

Have a great day, Spring is getting closer.

Burgh Day

Here I sit on a quiet Saturday Morning, I'm the first one to recover from that losing battle with the dreaded Sandman. I'm up early watching the ending to Austin Powers and collecting my thoughts and surfing the net.

Before I forget, make sure that you set your clocks an hour ahead tonight as it is Daylight Savings Time. We lose an hour of sleep tonight, but that's OK with me it just means it stays light later in the evening. Spring is just right around the corner.

Did anyone see the traffic around Morgantown yesterday? Wow can you say it was total gridlock like nothing else. All over the city and it took Michelle about 45 to get home on what is usually a 10-15 minute commute. It was ridiculous to say the very least and we could not figure out why all the gridlock was all over Morgantown. We figured it out later last night, it was the last day for students and they are starting Spring Break. It was just a mad chaotic exodus of students that was the cause of all the gridlock. I guess that means traffic will actually be bearable for the next week.

Today's plans, heading up North to South Hills Village to get Hayley's iPhone repaired. Been there a few times before, I do actually love that store. Hopefully they won't be too crowded as we already have an appointment scheduled for this morning, so it's not like we'll be waiting in any lines.

Have a great day.

The weather is nice and I believe Michelle and I will be taking a nice road trip tomorrow. We'll be heading to Pittsburgh and the Apple Store to get Hayley's iPhone repaired for her. The one she has has a cracked screen and they are going to replace the screen for us. I am the one who told her she didn't need an otter box, so I guess this is partially my screw up, so now we'll finally get it fixed.

How do you like this weather? It's actually supposed to get close to 60° on Monday, a big change from what we saw last week when we were hit with snowmageddon again. I'm really ready for the spring time.

Don't forget to spring your clocks ahead an hour tomorrow night or you'll be a little late for work.

Photo Flashback Thursday

Once a week I like to take a little bit of time out and look through all of the pictures that I have either taken, scanned or stolen from the internet through the years. Little lost moments in time that I like to briefly relive and write a little story about. Sometimes it's pretty easy finding those precious moments, and sometimes it's not that easy. It is however always a whole lot of fun.

This weeks pic goes back to when I last played softball during the summers and the last group of guys that I ever played with. What a great group of guys, guys I used to refer to as the boys of summer, they were your summertime family.

This picture was the MiHaley's team, and we are out on the back deck of MiHaley's drinking a few beers and I think Michael even hooked us up with a TV out there.

I do have to say that this was the time of the year we really started to get organized for the Summer Softball League. I do have to say that I loved the 27 or 28 seasons that I played at BOPARC. Each team and each Summer had their own unique times and experiences. I played on a number of great teams, but never won the post season Championship but I have about a half a dozen or so regular season Championships. They only started to award them in the last 10 years or so, so the great Sterling, Heiskell and King, Judies Lounge, Recourse and MVP teams didn't get a whole lot of love.

I do miss it, but I'll always remember and cherish those summers.

Hump Day

Well that is two days now behind us, now if you get up on your tippy toes and look just on the other side of that noon time hump, just on the other side of a Photo Flashback,  you can see the dawn of another weekend off in the distance.

Last night was Fat Tuesday, so I guess that means that today is Ash Wednesday for all of you paying attention. It is the start of lent and that will carry on until Easter Sunday.

Well Michelle and I actually have plans this weekend, we're heading to the Apple Store in Pittsburgh to get Hayley's iPhone repaired for her. Smashed face that we are going to have repaired, it's getting worse and worse and really does need to be repaired before it gets any worse.

Tonight on Information Discovery (Comcast Channel 111) at 9:00 PM, there is a show called My Dirty Little Secret  and the Death by Cheerleader episode. It has a little bit of a local Morgantown flair as it is the Michelle Michaels story.

Tuesday's Tidbits

* Well snowmageddon is now behind us and the sub zero temperatures that they were calling for today look to be non existent. I would say Monday is behind me, but the blue footed booby and myself were partying with the sloths yesterday as Michelle was at work. Can't think of a better reason to do a tidbits.

* 2,180 days ago my life changed for the better forever. I had the opportunity to take a lovely young lady out for a night on the town.

* 1,404 days ago I got down on one knee and proposed to make the arrangement that we had a little more permanent. It was our 777th day of dating, and yes I have hit the daily number on that combination.

* 941 days ago in front of our closest friends and family, we exchanged our wedding vows making it legal.

* I only have 6,481 days or so to go until I retire, give or take a few.

* 302 days from now, I will write my goodbye 2014 blog. I still have plenty of time for content and a few more "I Hate Snow" phrases.

* 296 more shopping days left until Christmas.

* 187 days until we once again set sail on our cruise to the Caribbean, same cruise we have taken the past couple of years, but we love it.

* 155 days to go until our 3rd Wedding Anniversary.

* 141 more days to go until we party down with Jimmy Buffett in Pittsburgh with the rest of the Pittsburgh area Parrot Heads.

* 16 days to go, just 16 more days to go until we officially reach spring time.

* Don't forget to set your clocks ahead an hour this weekend as we spring forward. Days will start getting longer and warmer and I can't say it will not be welcomed.

* This is my 3,566th blog post that I have written. Can't say I didn't follow through on that whim to try blogging, as I will be celebrating my 10th year as a blogger while in the Caribbean. Can't think of a better way to celebrate it.

* Today is Fat Tuesday, the beads will be flying in New Orleans tonight as tomorrow is Ash Wed. I'm sure there will be a few beads and bare breasts around Morgantown tonight as well.

* There was a lot of sadness in the Dalton household this past weekend. My niece Amy's pet chicken Marvin was accidentally ran over by a car. Yes her pet chicken, they have I think 15 chickens and Marvin was the one that had a personality and came in the house when it was cold out, he was a part of the family.

* Val has been trying to find a lost dog the past few days.

* Ever wondered how bad our State Road is at treating roads? Check out this video. Dear State Legislature, this is coming from an underpopulated Point Marion to Morgantown, where the states largest best equipped Medical facility is located. Get off your butts and do something about this, that means start paying the Salt Truck Drivers a fair wage so they stay rather than go to the fracking industry.

* West Virginia has a new old current and now permanent President. E Gordon Gee who was first a University President at WVU in the early 80's, and current interim President has been unanimously approved to be WVU's next President. I think this is a Home Run hire for WVU, but I'm sure there are others who will disagree.

* I have an eye appointment later this week with Dr. Mitchell, and I have to go in for an A1C sometime this week. I was going to do it yesterday, but in-climate weather and closings everywhere I felt I could find a more optimal time to do this. Maybe this morning.

* Had to order some new parts for Hayley's computer, Chad who is a computer whiz kid is fixing it so I just bought the parts.

* We've had Hayley's Dog Gracie the last couple of days, just in case Hayley had to stay at her friends house who lives closer to her work and couldn't get home due to the weather.

* Hi ho hi ho

Monday Morning

Well that fun filled thing that we work all week towards, you know that thing they call a weekend is now behind us and it's time to try to stick our noses back on the grindstone for another week of work. Working gives us the opportunity to live the lifestyles we like to live and pay our bills. Hopefully the roads are not too treacherous this morning.

I'm not sure if I have ever mentioned this before on my Blog, but I Hate Snow. Not a little bit, not just a gradual dislike, I hate the white powdery stuff that falls on our roads making travel less than safe and not to mention tearing our roads up leaving potholes everywhere. I'm ready for the springtime to commence.

Not too much planned for our week ahead, other than waiting out this brief storm, it's supposed to warm up by the end of the week so Winter is starting to fade a little, but you might want to ignore the white stuff all over the ground when reading this. LOL

Michelle is talking about heading back home for the day with Hayley this week, but that is just in the initial planing stages. I'll probably stay here and allow them to have a girls day together. Gracie needs a hair cut and Michelle's Mom doubles as the family's dog groomer.

Speaking of groomed dogs, the Little Rock of Love is groomed up and ready to doggie party. He's ready to doggie party.

Hi ho hi ho

Sunday

Here I sit early on a Sunday Morning, I'm the first one to recover from a losing battle with that notorious Sandman yesterday evening. I was also the last one to fall to his wrath, so that may mean a nap is in order sometime today. Something is on the TV, but I have no idea what it is or who is even in it other than Sara Silverman.

We are due to get an excessive amount of snowfall  that was supposed to start last night that includes estimates somewhere around a foot of snow. Have I ever mentioned that I Hate Snow? Following the massive blast of snow we're supposed to get hit with sub zero temperatures once again on Tuesday.

Did a little bit of running around yesterday and finally went and our Chimney Charcoal Starter that everyone was asking me about when we purchased our grill. All the Grillmasters I work with suggest that this is an absolute must have item. It really helps keep the coals at a desired temperature especially when you are trying to smoke something like ribs.

So far the snow hasn't started so we'll be running out soon to do our normal grocery shopping. We stopped by last night after the Auction as Hayley was with us, so we could get some dog food for Gracie. It was an absolute madhouse last night to say the least. Everyone running out to get their milk and bread, I'll go in to a fully restocked store with maybe half a dozen shoppers running around. I love Sunday Morning Grocery shopping.

Have a great day and join me in hating snow.

Saturday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit once again in a quiet household, I'm the first one to recover from a losing battle with the dreaded Sandman and am up watching...I have no idea, but the TV is on and I'm up.

We watched the final episode of Season 2 of House of Cards last night. I have to say that we have watched a different episode every night since the second season was released and now we are both a little sad that we are going to have to wait for season 3. Netflix has the right idea and people like to binge watch, Kevin Spacey hit the nail on the head last year when he talked about binge watching. I'm going to miss it until next year, arguably my favorite TV show of all time and Kevin Spacey has taken the spot as my favorite actor.

I guess this storm we are facing tomorrow and Monday keeps getting worse and worse. It stated out being a dusting and has lead to possibly more than a foot of snow again and sub-zero temperatures that keep going down and down and down. Sad thing is, according to the Farmer's Almanac we're looking at snow in Region 1 until the end of April, but the long range for our area doesn't look too bad. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

This is that blah time of the year, nothing planned today or this weekend other than normal chores. I'm ready for Spring and a chance to break out the new Charcoal grill and cook with it. Have I ever mentioned that I Hate Snow?

Have a great day.
