Sunday

Here I sit on a quiet Sunday Morning, Peanut and Sophie are writing some cat pseudo code so that every time they meow teats drop into their bowl. It seems to be working so far. I'm here going over and refining our shopping list for the week as I will be home every evening for dinner.

Well, I really thought Iowa State was going to beat us by 30 points yesterday. I didn't think we stood a chance but for the second time this season -we knock off a top 25 team as we beat #22 Iowa State 38-31 in a well-played and coached game. The game was back and forth, but Iowa State had the third-ranked defense and we just gave them fits all day long. I had given up on them for the year and the last two weeks they surprised me and actually looked like a complete team yesterday.

I get a second day off today, my materials didn't for me to do fieldwork in Hundred this weekend, actually, my boss knew I was run into the ground and a little so she delayed sending the materials out. Weather-wise, I'm glad that she did as it rained all day yesterday and I would imagine it's going to be more of the same today. I'll hit it again next weekend.

I hope everyone has a great day today. I might have a nap planned out for some time today.

Saturday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit in a quiet Household, Peanut is telling me how she feels WVU may not win today and I have to concur. She's a real football analyst to say the least. I'm pretty much planning out my day so I can get done what I need to get done before the made football rush kicks in around town.

Well the streak went to 22 days straight of working one job or the other and it is coming to an abrupt end today. RTI ran the COVID numbers and Monongalia County is no longer eligible to be worked. Meaning I'll have to either wait until next Thursday to rerun the numbers or take another segment farther from home that I will travel to on weekends. I already know I'm heading to Hundred next weekend, as there are a bunch of lines over there that we want to open up. I won't be able to work that segment during the week as it would be dark by the time I got there and I don't have my segment materials yet, so long story short I have a couple of days off. Woo Hoo!!!

WVU plays Iowa State here in town today, they have progressively owned us the last three years and I haven't seen anything to suggest that this year will be any different. Don't give yourself any false hope after beating TCU last week,. Iowa State may have the best Defense in the Big XII and TCU has arguably one of the worst. The game is on ESPN+ which is a subscription service.

Have yourselves a great day and try to stay warm and dry.

No no no no not today with the hi ho hi ho

Big Ole Hairy Friday

Yes, it is once again that time of the week that we all look forward to when we can take time to cease the labors for the week and take a little bit of needed time out to enjoy the fruits of those labors. It is once again the dawn of another weekend and a Big Ole Hairy Friday.

However, let's get to the important things. How about a little bit of High School Football to start your weekend. Well this is it, tonight is the 2021 version of the MoHawk Bowl. 4-4 Morgantown High will travel to this side of town to take on undefeated and 8-0 University High. 6-1 Trinity travels to undefeated Cameron to take them on. 6-2 Clay Battelle travels to Calhoun County.

I'm just working the one job today and then I need to make our weekly Sam's Club run and do a couple of loads of laundry so I can run to Millers tomorrow morning and dry them. WVU plays tomorrow at 2:00 and I'm not going to be getting much done for RTI when the game starts, people just don't want to be disturbed when the Mountaineers are playing for some reason. Can't say that I blame them, I'm going to try watching the game myself.

No big plans this weekend, other than working and doing the weekly household chores.

I hope everyone has a great day and the start of a greater weekend.

Photo Flashback Thursday

Once a week I like to take a little bit of time out, time to look at some of the 30,000+ photos that I have stored on my computer. Little lost moments in time that I either captured with a lens, scanned, or just stole from someplace on the internet. I like to find just one and post it up and recall or relive the picture to the best of my ability. Sometimes this is a pretty easy task and sometimes it's not that easy, one thing it has always been a whole lot of fun.

This week I decided to go with my most liked and commented on picture on Facebook. It was taken at a hotel going into downtown Pittsburgh a few years ago. Michelle and I had went up on Saturday and we were participating in Steelers Trivia. Brittany was graduating from WVU the next day, so Sunday morning I had to be at KDKA studios to tape the semi-finals and finals (we won for our third time) of the Steelers Trivia show, and they we headed back to the WVU Coliseum for Brittany's Graduation.

This picture (after a bunch of back story) was taken Sunday morning before we went to the KDKA studios. I was wearing the bottom part of my suit, my shirt and tie and had my Steelers Jersey over all of them so that when we completed we could start our Journey.

Like I said this picture of my beautiful wife was taken that morning and it was my most liked and commented picture on Social media.

Have yourselves a great day.

Tuesday's Tidbits

* Monday is now behind us all, today is a two-day kind of working day, other than a sloth dancing the cha cha I can't think of a better reason to do a tidbits.

* It has been 21,151 days since I was born, that is 21 years using my new and improved 991 day Calender. I prefer my calendar as it is the best calendar and it is variable.

* It has been 6,385 days since I graduated from WVU with a Degree in Geography. I'm so happy to be going back to work in my field. Wow will it be going on 18 years this coming May?

* 4,969 days ago Michelle and I had our first date together, Pizza Hut and 10,000 BC, would you believe Michelle still talked to me after that movie choice. The movie was in fact that bad.

* 4,191 days ago I proposed to Michelle, she was expecting it as we had already bought the engagement ring and it was sitting in the safe.

* It was 3,734 days ago in front of our closest friends and family, Michelle and I became husband and wife at the Marilla Center, then we feasted like Kings and Queens. It was a memorable day.

* I have now lived 1,356 days longer than my Dad did and I'm still going strong. I wish this was one bullet point that I didn't have to do. A few more months and I'll start tracking how much longer I lived than my oldest sibling.

* I have 3,774 days to go until I retire, give or take a few hundred days here or there.

* The next Backyard Brawl where we beat Pitt's ass in Football is only 320 days away. It's not looking good for us right now.

* There are 284 more days to go until Michelle and I celebrate our Eleventh Wedding Anniversary together. =)

* There are only 146 days until the start of Spring 2022. My favorite season of the year rolls around again.

* There are 106 days until Michelle and I head to Pittsburgh to see Reba in concert. The Concert was supposed to be this August (actually it was supposed to be in March of last year) and they have moved it until the middle of February next year. So basically I bought tickets for a concert in 2022 in 2019.

* 97 more days until Phil steps to center stage again for Groundhogs Day, he has ended his winter vacation and can once again be seen in the back yard eating the Corn Michelle puts out.

* 67 more days to go until my Goodbye 2021 Blog is posted, it's been eventful.

* There are 58 more shopping days left until Christmas 2021.

* The next Anniversary of my 21st Birthday will be in 36 more days. M aybe I should make that 401 days.

* I have written 6,575 blogs in the now 17 years since I started blogging. Seems like it was just yesterday that I started all of this.

* Drone still needs to be sent out for repairs, not a big priority at this time.

* I'm loving getting back into GIS, believe it or not, I'm still talking to a number of other places as well.

* WVU is on the road this week, they play at home against an Iowa State team that has just owned us for a number of years.

* Life is now Pretty Busy. If I miss a blog, my apologies as I'm going to be pretty busy for the next few months.

* We did order our Christmas Shirts for this year's theme already, something we can cross off of our 2021 bucket list of things to do this year.

* Order some Popcorn, help a kid out. I've already got mine and it's pretty good popcorn. You know when fall comes around, it's hard to beat a fresh-popped bowl of delicious popcorn.

* Order some Pampered Chef stuff to help Michelle's Party. If you have never used Pampered Chef products before, do yourself a favor and try some out. Best cookware out there. We have a lot of it and they are all lifetime products. I got a free $22.00 Pizza Cutter with my order.

* Have yourselves a great day.

Monday

It's time to stop having all that weekend fun and time to get back to doing what it is that we do to make this world a better place. It's time to take our collective noses and stick them back onto the grindstone for another week of doing what it is we all do for a living. and make this a better rock to live on.

Last week it was a two job kind of Monday, today it is just a one job kind of Monday as I'm just working from home today and not planning on going out this evening doing any fieldwork. I worked both days of the weekend and on day 18 of consecutive days working. I don't mind though, there will be a light at the end of the tunnel someday and I'll have some time off.

Michelle officially starts with FD Kitchens today as their employee rather than a contracted employee through express employment. Her 3-month employment contract ended on Friday so now she is part of the staff instead of being contracted.

I did get a chance to see and talk to Pam yesterday, we ran into her while we were grocery shopping at Krogers for the week. We stopped and BS's for a while and I found her crackers that she was looking for.

Have yourselves a great day and the start of a great week.

Sunday

Here I sit once again in a quiet household, something I am used to on weekends as I am an early riser. Even my pet friends are pretty much sound asleep.

What's on my agenda for the day? Well, grocery shopping, chores about the house, and paying some bills are all on my agenda before I start day 17 of working one job or the other or both. It makes you utilize your time management skillsets so you can get the optimal use of your time available to you.

With that being said, I'm working today in case I didn't mention it. It's about all I ever seem to have time to do at the moment. The good news is I don't have to worry about missing the Steelers game today, as they have a Bye week this week and are off. I did get a chance to watch WVU last night, glad to see them pull out a 29-17 win at TCU.

Amanda's Baby shower went well yesterday, they all pulled together to pull this off and without a hitch. Hopefully, she got everything she wants or needs for the baby. They are amazing parents and this is their second bundle of joy.

Have yourselves a great day

Saturday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit in a semi-quiet household, everyone is sleeping except for me although Kiwi is sending me aviary telepathic messages on social media. Tweet tweet tweet. I'm here planning my day out as Michelle is going to be very busy as well.

My day is going to start with a trip to the laundromat. Michelle is going to run and do the Sam's and Walmart shopping as I do this. Afterwards, I'll be heading out to work and she will be probably heading to Amanda's for a Baby shower. The busy just got busier.

WVU plays against TCU this evening at 7:30 to take on TCU. We don't fare too well on the road and Neal Brown hasn't had too much success after bye weeks, so I wouldn't get too emotionally involved with this game or this team until our Offensive staff gets their heads out of their rear ends.

Have yourselves a great day.

Undefeated University High travels to 0-7 Preston this evening, which should be a predictable outcome. Morgantown travels to Moundsville to take on John Marshall. Tygarts Valley visits Trinity here in Morgantown and Clay Battelle is off this weekend. Good luck to all the local teams, win them all.

I'm working both jobs again today (as I did on Monday and Wednesday) so I'll be out and about this evening trying to continue to get my numbers worked down for RTI. Not a whole lot of interviews so far this quarter for some reason, but I have all lines opened.

Today is Michelle's last day as an employee of express employment, so moves over to staff at FD Kitchens officially on Monday as her contract has been completed. This was the plan all along once she started there.

This evening Michelle is going over to her sister Chris's ass they are going to start doing some cooking for tomorrow. Amanda and Joey (niece) are having a baby shower to welcome a bundle of joy here in the near future and Chris and Michelle are going to be doing some cooking for tomorrow.

Have yourselves a Great Day

This week's pic goes back a few years, back to a time when Michelle and I went to WV Blackbear games. This pic was actually taken the second year of their existence, a friend of mine was and still in the Black bears organization and he had it agreed in his contract that he gets the suite one game a year. This was the game and Michelle and I was fortunate enough to be invited.

Cooper, the mascot came up and visited ort suite for the game allowing me to grab this picture of him and Michelle.

Monday

OK all you weekend-loving people, now it is time to take all that fun you were having and put it on the back burner as we begin another fun-filled week of doing what it is that we do for a living. It's time to take our collective noses and get back to making this a better world to live in by doing what we all do.

My day will start with me doing a good day of editing GIS data, something that is very much in my comfort zone, and what we are doing will actually significantly expand my skillset mainly because I had zero experience with an extension called ArcFM which is something I will gladly put on my resume. as many utility companies including electrical and oil and gas companies use it pretty much exclusively. I'll be updating my resume here in a few weeks to reflect this to potentially open myself to other clients.

After a day of sitting at home on one of my work computers, I'll grab the other work computer and head out to do some fieldwork for RTI. I've got two segments and I have all my lines open, which is either seen as pretty amazing or that no one has been home at the times I have gone. One thing it does indicate in the database, is we have opened the dwelling unit up to be worked. When I went to Charles Town and worked for two weeks, that is basically what I was doing, opening up a couple large segments that had not even been touched yet.

Have yourselves a great Day.

Sunday

Here I sit on a quiet Sunday morning, I guess you can call it the quiet before the storm. Peanut and I are having an intelligent conversation as to why she prefers licking her butt as opposed to wet cat food. Finicky little furball. Of course, Kiwi also wants a shout-out, so I can't forget my feathered friend.

Well one busy week has been completed, but that doesn't mean anything as today is the 9th Consecutive Day of probably 80 that I will have worked either one job or the other. I'm out in the field for RTI and I have opened up all 118 of my lines in two segments so far this quarter, so I'm feeling pretty good about that. Can't sit back and reflect, because the next week starts today.

This morning, however, Michelle and I will be heading out to do our weekly grocery shopping and chores before she heads back to work tomorrow. She gets to enjoy a day off, I get to go out and try to give people money.

Have yourselves a great day, make the most of it.

Saturday Morning Rambling

Here I sit on a quiet Saturday Morning, Kiwi and myself are up having a telepathic man-to-bird conversation about what seeds he prefers and what seeds he doesn't care for.

It's Saturday, but I am still working today as well as tomorrow. This is going to pretty much be my life over the next few months. Got my first week in with Consult USA for Duquense Light, and everything is finally up and going. I spent Friday doing editing, which is really the part of GIS that I like to do. It's putting the nuts and bolts together to make sure everything is working properly.

WVU plays Bye this week, that means they may only lose by a few points rather than playing someone and everyone getting all disappointed because we can't field a decent team. I know a lot of people are getting frustrated and it does not appear to be getting any better anytime soon.

Michelle is also in her office today, she was off yesterday and works today. This is her weekend of the month to work.

Have yourselves a great day.

Ho ho hi ho

Happy Birthday Brittany Dae Cummings

I would love to take this time out to wish my beautiful niece Brittany a very Happy Birthday today.

It seems like it was only yesterday that she was born, it's amazing how 30+ years can go by in the very blink of an eye. It seems like just yesterday I was in the waiting room watching Who's the Boss and Kim and ED was in the delivery room waiting for this bundle of joy. The amazing thing about all of this is that this remarkable young lady is now nine years older than me.

She is an amazing young woman, I know Michelle had a great trip with her last week on the girls trip to Canaan as they all sat around and laughed and had a great time.

If you get a chance to see or talk to this marvelous young lady today, make sure that you take a little bit of time out and wish her the Happiest of Birthdays today.

Happy Birthday, Brittany.

University High is still undefeated at 6-0 and travel to Buchannon this evening. Morgantown plays host to Parkersburg South. Clay Battelle travels to #2 ranked and undefeated Cameron. Trinity travels to Hancock Maryland this evening to play. Good luck to all the local teams, maybe we can run the table this week.

I'll be working both jobs today, so this is going to be a long day to say the least. I don't mind though, I'm working at home most of the day and then finishing it off out doing Field Work for RTI in a close segment at I listed. I'm going to have a long, but easily manageable day for me today as I work two jobs.  Fortunately, Michelle is going to be off today as this is her weekend to work at work, so she'll be at her office tomorrow. She's going to be a big help by doing the things I have been doing on Fridays when I got home from traveling.

Have yourselves a great day.

This weeks pic goes back to the year 2017. Michelle and I had taken a trip to Hovatters Zoo for the day, because my wife loves to go to the zoo. Even more than going to the zoo, Michelle loves Giraffes and we saw this one pretending to be one outside the entrance to the zoo. Couldn't leave without her getting her picture taken in front of it.

She watches the Animal Adventure Park streams when she is home. If I look over at her computer there is probably a stream one right now as we speak.

Have yourselves a great day.

* WVU is off this week after a horrible game this weekend, we are still the underdog to Bye.

Monday

It's that time of the week when we cease all of the fun that we have been having and take our collective noses and put them back on to the grindstone for another fun-filled week of doing what it is that we do for a living. It's Monday, let's get back to making this world a better place.

Today is a Federal Holiday, it's Columbus Day so keep that in mind if you want to try to visit any banks or contact any Federal Offices, it's one of the ten Federal Holidays.

With that being said, today was supposed to be my start date for Consult USA, but I would guess because of the Holiday that my start date has been pushed back until tomorrow. I have to be on the North Shore of downtown Pittsburgh tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM to pick up all of my equipment. I'm sure that I will be on a number of phone calls as well as I get acclimated to the client and what exactly it is that they want to do. A little excited to be doing GIS again, although I never really stopped as I have an at-home version of the entire suite.

So what does my day involve, working for RTI of course? Still working on the Cassville segment and trying to get through that segment once before tomorrow. It's been challenging just due to where I have to go, roads that are incomplete, roads where there is nothing marked, and a lot of guesswork.

Have yourselves a great day, make it memorable.

Sunday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit yet once again in a very quiet household. Peanut and I are out here telling cat jokes and enjoying catnip as I try to decide what we need for groceries this week and do my shopping for the week. Of Peanut wants Catnip Flavored Kitty Treats.

Yesterday went as I expected for the Mountaineers as they lost to Baylor 45-20, and the score was actually closer than what the game was. I was out working and listening to it and all I could do was shake my head as this team has just quit. You can tell when a Coach has lost the locker room and the team, there is nothing that I have seen over the past couple of games to suggest otherwise. I don't think I have seen a worst coached WVU team in all my years following them, they are just that bad.

Michelle should be home today as their girl's trip weekend is winding down. Now it's packing up the cars and heading home after the second year of fun. Amy seemed to have gotten some great shots with her camera, a few of them are framable and hangable. I'm sure I'll hear a few stories this evening and I will be an attentive husband once I get wound down from working today.

I will once again be heading out and working for RTI today, me working one job or the other or both is something the reader can pretty much take for granted the next few months. I will be busy to say the least. I have two segments, one out where a couple of my sisters live and the other I could get to just taking back roads. I'll be working that segment on days I work during the day for Consult USA.

Oh, Happy 11th Wedding Anniversary to Moke and Ang.

Have yourselves a great day.

Saturday Morning Rambings

Here me and the animals sit and talking, Mommy is still away for her girls' extended weekend at Canaan. I'm here taking orders from Kiwi about how the house is being run with Mommy gone. Peanut has just become complacent.

I'll be working once again today for RTI, I worked yesterday but not a long day. Just enough to get a start in a segment where a couple of my sisters and sister-in-law lives. It felt nice to have a break, however, the break is over and we've started.

WVU plays today at I think noon on FS1. Not feeling to confident at this point and I think it'll be another loss on the season. We're one playmaker behind center from being a pretty good football team in my humble opinion. There are still way too many mental errors, but I hold the coaching staff responsible for that. We honestly don't lack talent, what we lack is fire and all being on the same page. They are not and I don't know if they will ever be, staff is too analytical and not enough fear and discipline. At some point you have to lineup and be more prepared than the guy playing across from you and we just don't exhibit that quality.

Have yourselves a great day.

University High is still 5-0 on the season and will once again try going across the border to play Albert Gallatin this week. The Morgantown Mohigans are at home and hosting Wheeling Park. Clay Battelle travels to the Massanutten Military (VA) to play. Trinity travels to Hundred WV to play. Good luck to all four county teams in action tonight, run the table, and let's get 4 wins.

The girls are on their Holiday Weekend, as of press time I have not seen too many pictures, but hopefully, they are all having a great time and we'll get some more pictures as the weekend progresses. I half wonder if anyone is sober enough to take any pics....lol

Mu start date with Consult USA has been moved back to Tuesday. I guess Monday is a Federal Holiday and the client must observe that day, so we're pushing it back until Tuesday. I have to be dahntahn (that's Downtown to you non-Pittsburgheze speakers) Pittsburgh at 8:00 AM on Tuesday to pick up my equipment, and then head back home to set it up.

Today starts a new quarter for RTI, so my life starts to get busy working full time for Consult USA and still doing what I do for RTI. Life gets busy starting ....now.

Have yourselves a great day.

This weeks pic goes back just a few months, back to Hayley and Tyler's wedding in June. This is a picture of Me, Michelle, Hayley, Tyler and some of the wild horses that just simply decided to show up and join us.

I'm blessed to have married an amazing wife who is also an amazing mother to a beautiful young lady that I get to call my daughter Hayley. Her and Tyler are two people who were just meant to be together and they make a lovely couple.

Have yourselves a great day.

Tuesday's Tidbits

* Monday is now behind us all, can't think of any better to do a tidbits.

* It has been 21,130 days since I was born, that is 21 years using my new and improved 991 day Calender. I prefer my calendar as it is the best calendar and it is variable.

* It has been 6,361 days since I graduated from WVU with a Degree in Geography. I also have a minor in Communications and a Minor in History. I do love my mapping and Geography and especially GIS.

* 4,948 days ago Michelle and I had our first date together, Pizza Hut and 10,000 BC, would you believe Michelle still talked to me after that movie choice.

* 4,170 days ago I proposed to Michelle, 4:00 in the morning in the back yard. She knew it was coming as we had already bought the ring.

* It was 3,713 days ago in front of our closest friends and family, Michelle and I became husband and wife at the Marilla Center, then we feasted like Kings and Queens. It was a memorable day.

* I have now lived 1,335 days longer than my Dad did and I'm still going strong. I wish this was one bullet point that I didn't have to do.

* I have 3,795 days to go until I retire, give or take a few hundred days here or there.

* The next Backyard Brawl where we beat Pitt's ass in Football is only 341 days away. It's not looking good for us right now.

* There are 305 more days to go until Michelle and I celebrate our Eleventh Wedding Anniversary together. =)

* There are only 167 days until the start of Spring 2022. My favorite season of the year rolls around again.

* There are 127 days until Michelle and I head to Pittsburgh to see Reba in concert. The Concert was supposed to be this August (actually it was supposed to be in March of last year) and they have moved it until the middle of February next year. So basically I bought tickets for a concert in 2022 in 2019.

* 118 more days until Phil steps to center stage again for Groundhogs Day, he has ended his winter vacation and can once again be seen in the back yard eating the Corn Michelle puts out.

* 88 more days to go until my Goodbye 2021 Blog is posted, I'm hoping for a big year this year.

* There are 79 more shopping days left until Christmas 2021. It's under 100, start planning.

* The next Anniversary of my 21st Birthday will be in 57 more days.

* I have written 6,553 blogs in the now 17 years since I started blogging. Seems like it was just yesterday that I started all of this.

* Drone still needs to be sent out for repairs, not a big priority at this time.

* Michelle is working a short week, she's going on her sister's weekend with my sisters tomorrow.

* WVU plays Baylor in football this weekend, we're traveling there to play.

* I am most likely going to get my COVID Booster shot as well as my flu shot today.

* There are 1 days until the girls' trip this year. No boys invited, I guess this is their version of he man woman haters club. I know that they are all excited about it and ready to party.

* Life is about to get really busy for me to say the least.

* Have yourselves a great day.

Monday

All good things must come to an end, and that does include those fun-filled things referred to as weekends. Now it is time to take our collective noses and stick them back onto the grindstone for another fun-filled week of doing what it is we do for a living.

Actually, for me this is the calm before the storm, my quarter with RTI ended last Thursday and the next quarter begins on Friday. So I'll be working the back end of the week, Then probably next Sunday as Monday I start with Consult USA and will probably have to travel to Pittsburgh to pick up my equipment. I'm going to be a pretty busy person in the next few months, to say the least.

Michelle is working today and tomorrow and then she and Kim, Terri, Brittany, Val, and Amy will be all heading south to set up shop for their girts trip. They went to the same place last year and had a great time, they are going to attempt to repeat last year's comradery.

I'll be at home holding down the fort and taking care of the animals. Sophie, Peanut and Kiwi will be well taken care of, we might even invite a giraffe and a sloth over to have an animal party. Might even invite Phil the Groundhog and a couple deer in as well.

Have yourselves a great day/

Sunday

Here I sit in the early AM, I'm up watching the Internship on HBO and getting ready to lay back down. I'm still tired, I just had to make a midnight bathroom break.

Whatever optimism I had after last week's game is now out the window. WVU dropped a 23-20 contest to Texas Tech and as a team, we looked horrible. Texas Tech had 8 starters out of the game and pretty much dominated our inept team all day long. I'm sorry, this team was not prepared to play at home, as a favorite on Homecoming. I want to believe in Neal Brown, I really wanted him to succeed at WVU, but he and his staff are obviously not the answer. Horrible game plan and preparation, I hate to say it but a bigger disaster than Dana was.

I'm not even going to talk about the Pittsburgh Steelers this season, they play this afternoon at Green Bay. I've missed the last two games which we lost, but we even looked bad on the opening week which we managed to win. Football is not very entertaining this year to me either collegiately or professionally.

Shopping today, other than that it's going to be a day of relaxation, may even contain a nap for both Michele and me.

Have yourselves a great day.

Saturday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit in a quiet household, it's nice to be back home with my wonderful wife who has had a tough week. She's in the bedroom now sawing logs and enjoying some peaceful time in lala land. She doesn't sleep too well when I'm not here and she really did need to relax.

There is so much going on this weekend I almost don't know where to start. The WVU Men's Football team is playing Texas Tech this afternoon at 3:30. The game is on ESPN 2 for anyone who would like to watch it. I was more encouraged after last week's loss at Oklahoma than I have been at any time during the Neal Brown tenure. but I still think we have a ways to go. The Defense and Special Teams are awesome, Offense I think is too young and just does not have enough repetitions together where things come naturally. The first drive will probably end up in a Touchdown, it's after that they tend to struggle. Texas Tech has beaten us the last two years, we are due to settle those scores.

Also going on this weekend is the Buckwheat Festival in Kingwood. I love Buckwheat Cakes, Michelle not so much. She does like walking around and looking at things though, so we'll see if we make an appearance up there.

Something else going on this weekend that we have been to a number of times is the Springs Festival where there are always good homemade things to buy and sell. I know they sell a lot of sauerkraut, but the last time we get some fresh bread or some apple butter to bring home.

I'm happy with what ever Michelle wants to do today, she needs to relax a little after a tough week.

Went over to Mom's yesterday. She was having an issue as the Switch Access  had turned itself on. Creating a blue box around everything and bringing up an on-screen keyboard. Easy fix as you can see in the link.

Have yourselves a great day today.

The 5-0 and undefeated University High Hawks don't travel too far tonight, they are just going across the border and playing arguably the closest out-of-state school when they visit Albert Gallatin this evening. The 1-3 Morgantown Mohigans are at home hosting Musselman. 4-1 Clay Battelle is at home hosting Hancock Maryland in Blacksville and Trinity puts their undefeated 2-0 record on the line against undefeated and 30-0 Cameron. Good luck to all the area teams this evening, sweep tonight's games and let's go 4-0 this week.

The quarter is finally over for RTI. I finished up yesterday and returned home last night. Working the Eastern Panhandle is the highest paying SCA zone, plus it's a way to rack up the milage just on travel. It's like the icing on top of the cake as I started the end last quarter down there as well before we changed and moved us all out of state to work.

I'm off till next Friday when the next quarter begins. I'm due some rest and relaxation. Maybe Kiwi and I will sit down together and have a nice vocabulary lesson so he can learn a few more words.

Have a great day.
