Big Ole Hairy Friday

Yes, it is once again that time of the week that we all look forward to when we can take time to cease the labors for the week and take a little bit of needed time out to enjoy the fruits of those labors. It is once again the dawn of another weekend and a Big Ole Hairy Friday.

It's going to be a busy day and probably busy weekend in general. Final preparations will need to be done today as we prepare for Hayley's Bridal Shower tomorrow afternoon. She wants a pasta bar set up and Michelle is going to deliver three different types of pasta and a few different sauces to place on them. I know Tyler is making the homemade marinara sauce and we'll be partying down at the church tomorrow.

I got back last night, so I'm sure I'll have some running around to do today for things we normally do and also for the shower. Hopefully we'll get a chance to see everyone tomorrow as I will also serve double duty with my camera to try to capture the days festivities and moments in time so the bride and groom can look back and reflect some day.

Have a great day.

Photo Flashback Thursday

Once a week I like to take a little bit of time out, time to look at some of the 30,000+ photos that I have stored on my computer. Little lost moments in time that I either captured with a lens, scanned, or just stole from someplace on the internet. I like to find just one and post it up and recall or relive the picture to the best of my ability. Sometimes this is a pretty easy task and sometimes it's not that easy, one thing it has always been a whole lot of fun.

This week's picture goes back to 2010, but the writing on that chair goes all the way back to probably the 1980's.

Does anyone know any juvenile's from 4 decades past who may have done this, much less see it some 40 years after you did it. Just one of the things from the hallowed halls of Morgantown High School that has been left there through the years. Does anyone know the perpetrator?

Have a great day.

Tuesday's Tidbits

* Monday is once again behind us, I'm out the door later this morning to head to the Northern Panhandle. Sounds like a great time to do a tidbits.

* It has been 20,969 days since I was born, that is 21 years using my new and improved 991 day Calender. I prefer my calendar as it is the best calendar and it is variable.

* It has been 6,190 days since I graduated from WVU with a Degree in Geography. I also have a minor in Communications and a Minor in History.

* 4,787 days ago Michelle and I had our first date together, Pizza Hut and 10,000 BC movie that was horrible.

* 4,016 days ago I proposed to Michelle, 4:00 in the morning but she was expecting it.

* It was 3,538 days ago in front of our closest friends and family, Michelle and I became husband and wife at the Marilla Center, then we feasted like Kings and Queens.

* I have now lived 1,178 days longer than my Dad did and I'm still going strong.

* I have 3,942 days to go until I retire, give or take a few hundred days here or there.

* The next Backyard Brawl where we beat Pitt's ass in Football is only 501 days away.

* There are 296 days until Michelle and I head to Pittsburgh to see Reba in concert. The Concert was supposed to be this August (actually it was supposed to be in March of last year) and they have moved it until the middle of February next year. So basically I bought tickets for a concert in 2022 in 2019.

* 281 more days until Phil steps to center stage again for Groundhogs Day, he has ended his winter vacation and can once again be seen in the back yard eating the Corn Michelle puts out.

* 248 more days to go until my Goodbye 2021 Blog is posted, I'm hoping for a big year this year.

* There are 241 more shopping days left until Christmas 2021. You still have plenty of time.

* The next Anniversary of my 21st Birthday will be in 218 more days.

* There are 100 more days to go until Michelle and I celebrate our Tenth Wedding Anniversary together. =)

* There are only 54 days until the start of  Summer 2021. My second favorite season of the year. I'm currently enjoying my favorite season.

* I have written 6,383 blogs in the now 16 1/2+ years since I started blogging.

* I did work on my drone last weekend, it may have to been sent out for repairs.

* WVU is in session this week and the week after that is finals next week and then we get our three months of peace and quiet in Morgantown.

* We are only about 4 weeks from the High School Graduations here in Mon County.

* I'm ready for the warmer weather this week, that snow we saw last Wednesday was a little surprising and kind of sucked.

* Anyone else about ready for this COVID stuff to be behind us?

* Corona Virus, you can still track it as it is now starting to pick up steam and the numbers are increasing.

* We're actually Yellow for COVID for Monongalia County, although most of the rest of the state is red you can track the state stats HERE. We're still Orange on the Harvard map though.

* I'm STILL converting some old VHS tapes to Digital Format for Trish. I really need to get back on this as I am such a procrastinator.

* Have yourselves a great day.

Just Another Manic Monday

All Good things must come to an end, and that includes these fun-filled things that we refer to as weekends. Now it is time to take our collective noses and stick them back on the grindstone for another fun-filled week of doing what it is we do for a living.

I'm off to the panhandle again this morning, not working the Weirton segment this week as it was impossible for me to get a room at the Government rate and we are not allowed to cross state lines due to covid, so I moved it a little south this week where the state is 14 miles wide rather than 5. There are only a handful of hotels in Weirton, and due to some auctioneer convention, graduation and the normal flow of pipeline workers, all the hotels are sold out.

Michelle is going to have lunch with Tyler's Mom Alice on Tuesday so they can discuss and finalize everything they need to for Hayley's Bridal shower this Saturday at Woodland. Her wedding date is getting closer and closer, seems like it was only yesterday that we were looking at venues that they ended up changing their minds on.

Have yourselves a great day today.

Sunday

Here I sit yet once again in a quiet household, Peanut is in sleeping with Michelle and I'm out here surfing the next and collecting my thoughts for the day. Not sure what is on the boob tube but whatever it is I'm obviously not paying attention.

I've got a lot to do today I tried yesterday to book my hotel for working in Weirton this week, but being WV is only 5 miles wide in that stretch and we are not allowed to stay in any neighboring states due to COVID restrictions and it being Graduation weekend plus some auctioneers convention this week, that's not happening. When I travel I have to stay within the guidelines for rates, but everything was booked solid this week for that 5 mile stretch across West Virginia. I'll still be working the panhandle this week, but will be working between Wheeling and Moundsville and I will once again be staying in Moundsville this upcoming week for work. I feel DiCarlos and some Coleman's in my future this week.

I managed to watch the WVU Spring game yesterday, I have to say I was really impressed with the Defense and how they play, the Offense, however, is still a work in progress in my opinion. I think they are a year or two away from being effective and able to control a game. Just a little too inconsistent and too many drops for my taste.

Today's festivities will start off with our grocery shopping and chores for the week. I'll write all of my blogs for this upcoming week as I will be away working. Other than that there's not too much going on for us today. I'll be busy, but it's just a bunch of busywork that I need to do.

Have yourselves a great day.

Saturday Morning Ramblings

Here my co-author Peanut and I sit in a quiet household, Michelle is off in lala land snoozing away and we're out here discussing some very important cat issues. Like why does shoe only like catnip flavored treats and will pick them out if I mix them up, but she'll lick her own butt. It just doesn't make sense to this human.

Are you wanting to see some football today? I know I'm ready to have a look and see how my WVU Mountaineers are progressing this off-season. Last year, we could not have a Spring Game due to COVID restrictions, that disease is still around, but we are having a Spring Game today at 1:00. If you are not attending the game, it is being broadcast on ESPN+ if you are subscribed to that channel. It's a different subscription than regular ESPN, but I am a subscriber and will be able to see the scrimmage today from the comforts of our home.

Looks like I will be heading back to Weirton next week to work. The county has been cleared this week for us to work it once again and I'm the only FI working the northern panhandle due to us not being able to travel and work in other states. I do have to say after so many people in Michelle's family recommended it after they found out which hotel I was staying in, Dee Jays has the best ribs I have ever had in my life. Highly recommended. I'll be back up there this coming week.

Hayley and Tyler stopped by yesterday. They came down to get their second COVID shots and stopped by. Her and Michelle went through all the wedding stuff we bought over the past year to determine what she is going to have at her Bridal Shower next weekend.

One other thing we did yesterday, Michelle and I made our trip to Rural King so that all of her outdoor friends don't have to go Hungry. I swear we should start a zoo at times.

Have yourselves a great day.

If all went according to plans, I should be home this morning. Done from my week out in the field doing fieldwork. It's time for me to spend a weekend with my lovely wife as we haven't seen each other much the last couple of weekends. She was in Delaware one weekend and last weekend with her Grandmother. Next weekend should also be busy with Hayley's Bridal Shower, so we can relax together this weekend.

No plans off the top of my head for the weekend, it might just be a time to stay home and relax and probably cut the grass. A trip to Rural King is not out of the question as well as Michelle is starting to run a little low on outdoor pet food.

Have yourselves a great day, make the most of it.

Sometimes this is a pretty easy task and sometimes it's not that easy, one thing it has always been a whole lot of fun.

This weeks pic goes back to one of my finest memories of Gigi. Michelle and I would go to her house every year for the Christmas gathering, it was a big event where everyone from her Ohio family would show up. We would feast and then play Bingo before we would head to our next destination.

One year that predates Michelle and I being together, I guess she went to Texas Roadhouse and put some peanuts in her purse. My brother in law Jim every year would somehow at Christmas remind her of that incident by somehow having a gift associated with Peanuts to surprise her. One year he had a Pizza Box delivered that was just full of shelled Peanuts, this year he gave her a Peanut dispenser filled with peanuts. It was a running joke they enjoyed and how Jim was going to give her Peanuts every year was the discussion of the day. One year he even gave her a bra, filled with Peanuts. Some of my many fond memories. She will be missed but never forgotten.

Have yourselves a good day, I should be home tonight.

Monday

All good things must come to an end, and that does include those fun-filled things referred to as weekends. Now it's time for us to take our collective noses and stick them back on that grindstone for another fun-filled week of doing what it is we do for a living.

Michelle managed to make it home yesterday after a number of grueling days as they helped her Grandmother Gigi (Ruth) move on from this life to the next one. Michelle has been remarkably strong during this time, I think she is at peace with it all knowing that this 99+-year-old woman was ready to be reunited with her loved ones. As of press time for this Blog, Funeral Arrangements for Ruth Wynn are posted here.

I am heading to the Northern Panhandle today to work and will be working this week. I'm about half an hour south of where the Funeral will be, so Michelle is planning on coming up a night or two with me when I am away working since it is so close to where she needs to be. Just a coincidence that I'll be working in the area. This will be the same hotel I have stayed at for a few weeks when I was working in the area a couple weeks ago.

Have yourselves a great day today, prayers for Michelle and her family.

Sunday Morning Ramblings

Here I once again sit, I and Peanut are out here yet once again discussing how cats have the ability to trick their human counterparts into providing them treats and letting them go outside. She seems to be the master of it so to speak.

I do have some sad news to report, and this is why Michelle has been back home. Michelle's Grandmother Ruth, referred to as Gigi on this blog many times, has crossed over to the other side. She was the ripe age of 99 and about 2/3. She was looking to become a centenarian but the man upstairs had other plans for her.

I did make hotel reservations to work this week as I will officially be back out in the field this week and ironically I will be staying at the same hotel I have been staying at up in the northern panhandle, the one that is literally across the street from where my brother Gary is working. This means we may be hooking up sometime this week. I have sent him a text letting him know, that I will once again be up in the area. This could all very well change with what transpired last night.

My plans for the day, my typical Sunday I suppose. Grocery shopping this morning, a bunch of chores around the house, and getting ready for the week ahead. Michelle should return home today at some time.

There is one thing I did manage to get done yesterday that I have been putting off. I finally mowed the grass for the first time this season. Got the mower all gassed up yesterday and had all kinds of fun riding it around the yard. They are calling for a day of nice weather this week, but I will most likely be on travel and since Michelle's wrist hasn't come back to full strength yet from her fracturing it last summer I don't want her trying to mow it without me or someone here.

Have yourselves a great day.

Saturday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit yet once again in a quiet Household. Peanut and I are here conversing and telling cat jokes in Catanese, so most people would not understand her punch lines. We're just sitting here watching who knows what on the TV, (It's American Beauty on HBO) and entertaining each other.

I came across this picture yesterday, it was from the Jerry West vs Hot Rod Hundley All-Star Basketball game that was played at the Coliseum back around early 1980. The two guys jumping off in the center were Hot Rod Hundley in the blue and Jerry West in the white. The Jerry West team wore the gold warmups and you can see his team's bench in the back of the picture. What makes this picture so unique you may ask? Well, do you see the guy in the striped shirt in the front row behind Jerry West's bench? It is none other than yours truly. Yep, I had front row cushioned seats for that game, walked up to the ticket window a couple weeks before the game, and bought my single ticket (I was only 16 at the time) and that's where I ended up.

You know come to think of it, for the first few years of the current football stadium we had 50-yard line seats every week as well, but that was through Dad at the mines. Then they stopped all those extensive gifts to significant people and those free tickets kind of stopped. I guess the IRS started to get involved with all those expensive gifts companies were giving away back then and it all stopped.

Michelle is still up north, she is once again staying at Jon and Laura's and running back to the nursing home every day. I think she is going in a little later this morning.

Have yourselves a great day.

Michelle is up home, she went up yesterday afternoon for family support and reasons. Same reasons she was up there till late on Tuesday, only this time she took enough stuff to stay a night or two if need be.

With Michelle gone, I'm here holding the household down and we are all watching each other. I'm watching Peanut, Peanut is watching Kiwi, Kiwi is watching Sophie, and Sophie is keeping me straight and letting me know when the Queen is hungry and wants to be fed.

Plans for the weekend is to prepare to go out to work next week for RTI. I have my segment materials, I'm just waiting to see what is opened and closed. I will most likely be going to the Northern Panhandle again like I did for 80% of the time I worked last quarter. DiCarlo's Pizza, Coleman's Fish Sandwiches and seeing my brother Gary are all things that could be happening over the next few weeks.

I did find out yesterday that those of us who got the Pfizer COVID Vaccine may be required to get a booster within the next 12 months. I had my second Pfizer shot exactly two weeks ago today, so as of this blog I am 100% vaccinated.

Have yourselves a great day, make it a special one.

This week's pic actually goes back about 12 years, Michelle and I were going to a couple of friends of ours Justin and Samantha's wedding, we grabbed this pic before we left for the day. It was a time period before we were married and us living together as the picture is taken from the living room.

Funny story about that day, the wedding we went to we were sitting at a table with a few other friends and the question was asked: "where is the cookie table?" I was the only one at our table who did not have western pa roots as everyone but me knew exactly what they were talking about, Michelle had to explain it to me that in Western Pa, at the wedding reception there is usually a cookie table. I really liked that idea, so much so that if you remember our wedding there was a huge cookie table.

Have yourselves a great day.

Monday

All good things must come to an end, and yes that does in fact include those fun-filled things that many people refer to as Weekends. Now it is time for everyone to take their collective noses and stick them back onto that grindstone of life for another fun-filled week of doing what we do for a living.

Michelle made it home safely yesterday evening from her weekend get-a-way with Hayley, Tyler and Abby in Delaware. She did say as they were going to Assateague Island that they passed through Ocean City where we went on our honeymoon years ago and drove by the hotel that we stayed at. I haven't been back to Ocean City since then, but I'll be there in June passing through for Hayley's wedding.

Not sure what is on my agenda for the next week or so. RTI is starting quarter 2 on Thursday, but my boss has been on vacation the last week and I don't know what is going on, I should find something out today. Could be some more travel involved, and I would imagine that that will be the case. One thing I might do is fire up the mowers and cut grass, I should have done it over the weekend but it's just easier when there are two of us. Michelle rides the riding mower and I follow along with the push mower to get the areas where the riding mower may not be able to get.

I hope everyone has a great day, make it special.

Sunday

Here I sit yet once again in a quiet household, me and the kids (and by kids I'm talking about two cats and a bird) spent last night singing and telling jokes half the night. Peanut is the comedian and of course, Kiwi is the songbird. I'm out here collecting my thoughts for the day.

Michelle is still in Delaware and has had a good time, they visited Assateague Island yesterday where the wild ponies roam, this is where Hayley and Tyler are going to get married. They ran a few other places yesterday and Michelle said that they have been having a great time. That all ends today as they head back to Canonsburg and Michelle leaves there to come home later today. I miss her and so do our animal friends.

Since Michelle is in Delaware, that means I get to go out and do the grocery shopping and all of the chores this morning. Not a big deal, we already have the meals planned out for the week, so it's just going to be me preparing for what we have already decided on for dinners.

Have yourselves a great day.

Saturday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit once again as the sole human in my quiet household. Michelle is in Bethany Beach, Delaware today with Hayley, Tyler, and Abby and they are there looking for a few things for the wedding in a couple of months. Kiwi is keeping an eye on Peanut, who is keeping an eye on Sophie who is keeping an eye on Kiwi, so the animals are watching out for themselves. Me, I'm awake doing absolutely nothing and about ready to go back to bed.

What's on my agenda for the day? Pretty much nothing, other than maybe taking Kiwi back outside to enjoy the aviary-friendly weather. Other than that pretty much nothing. I may cut grass if and that is a big if the ground dries up, it's still pretty wet around here and I actually lost my footing yesterday morning taking Kiwi outside. Down I went but I managed to cage upright and in the air and someone was able to place it on the table in the midst of me falling. I should have walked around on the sidewalk, but I didn't and I paid for that bit of absent-mindedness.

Got a couple bits of bad news the last couple of days. A couple of weeks ago I interviewed with two companies that I felt both interviews went fairly well. One here in Morgantown and one in Baltimore. Over the past couple of days I learned that the companies have both chosen other candidates. I guess this means back to square one.

Have yourselves a great day.

Michelle is up in Canonsburg and they will be heading out here very shortly for the place they are going to stay in Delaware for a few days. She'll be enjoying some time on the Atlantic Ocean and I'm here taking care of the kids. By kids I'm referring to Sophie, Peanut and Kiwi. They are going to have about 6 hours worth of driving ahead of them today, so this is a big road trip for Michelle. They are going down to meet a caterer for Hayley's Wedding and to try to find someone to make cupcakes. It's going to be a small intimate wedding where Michelle and I and Mark and Alice are the only adults there. A few of Hayley's friends and that is about the extent of it.

I tried putting my drone up in the air this week after the mishap a few weeks ago, it seems to have done a significant amount of damage to the circuit boards than I had initially hoped. I hot boxed it to dry it out, but that appears to have not done what I was hoping it would do. I would hate to imagine the cost to have it repaired, so we're going to be droneless for a while.

Have yourselves a great day and a great start to a weekend.

This week's image according to the time stamp on the photo goes back 26 years and I would guess that this was actually late-night Christmas Eve 1994 rather than Christmas Day.

It's a picture of myself, Terri, Kim, and a very Young Val on the far right. I actually don't remember too much about that night other than we were all a lot younger and I actually had hair on top of my head believe it or not.

Have yourselves a great day.

Happy Birthday Terri Rehmani

I would like to take this opportunity to wish my amazing sister Terri a very Happy Birthday today, I believe this makes her 21 if my math is correct, especially if you use my new and improved variable calendar. 19,724 Days / my 939 Day Calendar equates to 21 years old.

Not sure what anyone has planned for Terri, Nick usually goes all out at Whitetail Crossing usually the weekend before or after.

Terri is an unselfish and amazing person, if you have someone like this in your life you're pretty lucky. It was her that picked me up at the lowest point in my life and dusted me off and put me on the right path despite me having the fears that I had at that time, that makes her pretty damned amazing in my book and I'm thankful she is my sister.

Not sure if anyone will see Terri today, but if you are fortunate enough take a little bit of time out and wish her a very Happy Birthday today. Happy Birthday Terri.

Tuesday's Tidbits

* Monday is once again behind us, it's strange being at home as this is the first time in six weeks I have been home on a Monday, or a Tuesday. A great reason to do tidbits.

* It has been 20,948 days since I was born, that is 21 years using my new and improved 991 day Calender. I prefer my calendar as it is the best calendar.

* It has been 6,169 days since I graduated from WVU with a Degree in Geography. It's is still my passion, something that I have always enjoyed.

* 4,766 days ago Michelle and I had our first date together, Pizza Hut and 10,000 BC movie that was horrible.

* 3,995 days ago I proposed to Michelle, 4:00 in the morning but she was expecting it.

* It was 3,517 days ago in front of our closest friends and family, Michelle and I became husband and wife at the Marilla Center, then we feasted like Kings and Queens.

* I have now lived 1,157 days longer than my Dad did and I'm still going strong.

* I have 3,963 days to go until I retire, give or take a few hundred days here or there.

* The next Backyard Brawl where we beat Pitt's ass in Football is only 515 days away. I think I started this countdown with about 2,500 days.

* 302 more days until Phil steps to center stage again for Groundhogs Day, he has ended his winter vacation and can once again be seen in the back yard eating the Corn Michelle puts out.

* 269 more days to go until my Goodbye 2021 Blog is posted, I'm hoping for a big year this year.

* There are 262 more shopping days left until Christmas 2021. You still have plenty of time.

* The next Anniversary of my 21st Birthday will be in 239 more days.

* There are 121 days until Michelle and I head to Pittsburgh to see Reba in concert. It was postponed this March to July and now they are pushing the tour until next year. It'll be my and Michelle's 10th wedding anniversary.

* There are 121 more days to go until Michelle and I celebrate our Tenth Wedding Anniversary together. =)

* There are only 75 days until the start of  Summer 2021. My second favorite season of the year. I'm currently enjoying my favorite season.

* I have written 6,362 blogs in the now 16 1/2+ years since I started blogging.

* I did work on my drone last weekend to see if everything is still functional, maybe I'll try to put it up once again this week.

* Changing Headlights on Michelle's car is so much simpler than changing them on Pearl. On Ice, there are no obstructions and you have plenty of room to work. On Pearl I have to basically take the battery out to get to the driver's side headlight to change it.

* Update, both Michelle and I are fully vaccinated. I never felt anything from either shot, she got a little sick from the second one.

* Kiwi is getting excited, he knows his outside time is not too far off.

* Michelle will be in Delaware this weekend with Hayley and Tyler. She'll be on the Atlantic Ocean and I'll be here.

* I see Amy and Ralph are getting closer and closer to finishing up their home, those two are absolutely amazing together and can accomplish anything they set their minds towards.

* Corona Virus, you can still track it as it is now starting to pick up steam and the numbers are increasing.

* We're actually Green for COVID for Monongalia County, although most of the rest of the state is red you can track the state stats HERE. We're still Orange on the Harvard map though.

* I'm STILL converting some old VHS tapes to Digital Format for Trish. I really need to get back on this as I am such a procrastinator.

* Have yourselves a great day.

* Hi ho hi ho

Monday

All good things must come to an end, and that includes those fun-filled things referred to as weekends. Now it is time for everyone to place their collective noses back onto the grindstone for another fun-filled week of doing what you do to make this a better world.

For the first time in the past six weeks, I will not be traveling today to work for RTI. Our quarter is over with and we are shut down for anywhere from a couple of weeks to a month as the next quarter starts to gear up and go. I won't be going out until they move to the fieldwork portion of the process.

No plans for me this week, but that can always change in a heartbeat. Michelle however is going with Hayley and Tyler later this week down to Delaware to look at where they are getting married. They are going down to look for a cake maker I think and a few other things that will be purchased there for the wedding. They are leaving Friday but Michelle is going up Thursday evening so they can get a really good early start from Canonsburg to Delaware. That way they can jump on I-70 up north and start their six-hour journey to the Atlantic Ocean. I'll be here holding down the fort while she is gone. Maybe Peanut and I can get into some trouble with Kiwi, Sophie will be too busy napping.

I hope everyone has a great day today, the NCAA Championship is tonight. If Gonzaga wins I win by groups bracket, but Baylor is Big XII so I wouldn't be upset if they won.

Happy Easter

Here I sit in a quiet household, Peanut and I are up discussing map projections and different datums and what flavor of soda pop tastes the best. We're here doing that and collecting our thoughts for the day on this Easter Morning.

No traveling for us today as we were invited up for Easter at Jon and Laura's up in PA, but we chose to stay home as we're trying to allow for time after our second vaccine to take hold. I heard it's a couple of weeks after your second dose to be fully vaccinated and we're just starting that time period. We felt it would be best to stay here and prevent the larger crowds that to go and possibly infect others as we are at the tail end of this.

Our plans for the day will be to fire up the smoker and throw some ribs in it. There is no better way to cook than to smoke in my opinion, you can take a cheap piece of meat and make it taste like a million dollars, and I love pork ribs and how they turn out when they are cooked low and slow in a smoker.

Our grocery store shopping for the week is completed, we managed to go to Krogers yesterday and get all of our shopping for the week done. I can actually let Michelle sleep in this morning as that last COVID vaccine is hitting her a little hard. I'm having pretty much zero effects from it, other than a little bit of a sore arm at the injection site, everything else has been pretty much life as normal for me.

I hope everyone has a very Happy Easter and a great day.

Saturday Morning Ramblings

April the Giraffe
Here I sit in a quiet household once again, I'm not sure where my co-author is this morning so I am out here flying solo once again. I'm up watching some movie on HBO that I'm not sure of the name of and collecting my thoughts for the day.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to report that April, the worlds most famous Giraffe has died. She was euthanized yesterday at the recommendation of her veterinarians due to her worsening arthritis. This is a Giraffe that I would put youtube on the bedroom TV on for Michelle to lay there and be able to watch all night long a few years ago when he was first pregnant and has watched her and Animal Adventure Parks cam on pretty much a daily basis ever since. My Mom is also a big April fan and called yesterday to see if we had heard the news, but we already had. Michelle and Mom are always on the Cam and spend many hours watching these majestic animals during their pregnancies.

Michelle and I got our second COVID Vaccine yesterday, and Hayley and Tyler both came down and they now have their first vaccines. Once again a big thank you to my niece Brittany for assisting with helping us get scheduled when it first opened up. I really have no symptoms or side effects, Michelle not so much as she has a headache and a stomach ache and he arm got immediately sore. With so many people now vaccinated or in the process of being vaccinated hopefully we can start putting this year long battle with COVID behind us all.

We had to put Ice in the garage earlier this week, it was starting to rattle a little when we were doing 70 MPH on the interstate and bore to the left. I took it to Brian and Hartsell's Exxon and he determined it was the right control arm that needed to be replaced so we had him replace it.

We'll be doing our grocery shopping this morning being that tomorrow is Easter. We'll get everything out of the way today and start preparing tomorrow's dinner early tomorrow morning. What will be having for Easter? We're going to smoke some pork ribs in the smoker and start our 2021 smoking season.

Some good news from the week, my new Drone Battery arrived and that seems to have fixed all the problems with the drone going into the creek a couple weeks ago so far. The other Battery I think had some real problems that were causing other issues with the drone that don't appear to be happening with the new battery. I won't know for absolute sure until I have a chance to put it up in the air.

Have yourselves a great day today.

Big Ole Hairy Good Friday

Yes, it is once again that time of the week that we all look forward to when we can take time to cease the labors for the week and take a little bit of needed time out to enjoy the fruits of those labors. It is once again the dawn of another weekend and a Big Ole Hairy Good Friday, and the real Friday.

So how did you guys like my April Fools Blog yesterday where I subtly tried to play off that yesterday was Friday. I thought it went pretty well especially when I found the Friday April 1st image, I knew I just had to go with it.

I'm done traveling for RTI for at least a month now, I'll be here until the next quarter starts up in May, I do have to say that it was a short quarter with a rocky start, but I finished up pretty strong. It wasn't my best quarter ever, but it was pretty close believe it or not.

No real plans for Michelle and me, we get our second COVID shot this morning, we both had the Pfizer one and today makes the three-week waiting period for that brand of doses and our second shots will be administered. It's the second shot that most people are complaining about having symptoms, but in a couple of weeks we will both be vaccinated against COVID. We can both still carry it, but less likely to catch it. We both wear our masks, wash out hands and social distance and we have managed to avoid it.

Have yourselves a great Good Friday.

It feels like this week has just sped on by, doesn't seem like an entire workweek but it has went pretty quickly and here we are again at the dawn of the weekend for everyone to relax and enjoy.

We really don't have any plans for this weekend as of yet, we were thinking about going and doing a little skydiving this afternoon, it should add a little excitement to the day.

Have yourselves a great day and let me know if I got you.
