Tuesday's Tidbits

* Hello from the Holiday Inn in Tridelphia West Virginia. Are you ready for a tidbits?

* It has been 21,095 days since I was born, that is 21 years using my new and improved 991 day Calender. I prefer my calendar as it is the best calendar and it is variable.

* It has been 6,326 days since I graduated from WVU with a Degree in Geography. I also have a minor in Communications and a Minor in History. I do love my mapping and Geography.

* 4,913 days ago Michelle and I had our first date together, my life has been fulfilled ever since.

* 4,142 days ago I proposed to Michelle, 4:00 in the morning in the back yard. It was no surprise, she knew it was coming.

* It was 3,678 days ago in front of our closest friends and family, Michelle and I became husband and wife at the Marilla Center, then we feasted like Kings and Queens. It was a memorable day.

* I have now lived 1,300 days longer than my Dad did and I'm still going strong. I wish this was one bullet point that I didn't have to do.

* I have 3,816 days to go until I retire, give or take a few hundred days here or there.

* The next Backyard Brawl where we beat Pitt's ass in Football is only 376 days away.  EAT SHITT PITT

* There are 340 more days to go until Michelle and I celebrate our Eleventh Wedding Anniversary together. =)

* There are only 201 days until the start of Spring 2022. My favorite season of the year rolls around again.

* There are 162 days until Michelle and I head to Pittsburgh to see Reba in concert. The Concert was supposed to be this August (actually it was supposed to be in March of last year) and they have moved it until the middle of February next year. So basically I bought tickets for a concert in 2022 in 2019.

* 153 more days until Phil steps to center stage again for Groundhogs Day, he has ended his winter vacation and can once again be seen in the back yard eating the Corn Michelle puts out.

* 123 more days to go until my Goodbye 2021 Blog is posted, I'm hoping for a big year this year.

* There are 117 more shopping days left until Christmas 2021. You still have plenty of time.

* The next Anniversary of my 21st Birthday will be in 92 more days.

* I have written 6,516 blogs in the now 16, nearly 17 years since I started blogging.

* Drone still needs to be sent out for repairs, not a big priority at this time.

* I do have to find the closest DiCarlos Pizza, the one Michelle and I used to go to when we were traveling is no longer there, and by no longer there the building is gone.

* I'm working in the Wheeling area this week. There are all kinds of stores and restaurants up here, no problem finding someplace to eat or something to do.

* I had to buy Microsoft 365 for my online email address last week, Godaddy had switched services and went to another service and it was nothing but a headache until I got it all sorted out later last week. People were using my emails and sent roughly 200,000 out under my name causing them to suspend my sending privileges which we are still trying to get restored.

* Michelle had a great time at Gigi's 100th birthday party.

* There are 36 days until the girls' trip this year. No boys invited, I guess this is their version of he man woman haters club

* Have yourselves a great day.

On the Road Again

All good things must come to an end, that includes those fun-filled things we refer to as weekends. In my case it also means me being home working for the last two months, now I'll be traveling until October. It was nice while it lasted, but now I'm having to travel to other places to work.

Michelle will be holding down the fort at home and taking care of the animals, and I'll be up working in the northern panhandle once again this week. New segments so I'm kind of excited that I can be knocking on new doors instead of going back to places we have already visited as many as ten times and can't get anyone home. I should be home later this week, I'll be around Cabelas up in Wheeling all week and maybe the next couple of weeks. I like working the panhandle.

WVU Football season begins this week as well. Saturday the Mountaineers travel to College Park Maryland to play the Maryland Turds or Terrapins or whatever they call themselves. I'm ready for some football to start.

Have yourselves a great day.

Sunday

Here I sit once again in a quiet household, Peanut and I are discussing the best options for the Mountaineers this coming season. We're out here carrying on and partying and frolicking all over the house. Sophie, she's just sleeping and telling us to quiet down and shut up.

I get to enjoy a second day off for my weekend, I'm heading out to work near Cabellas this coming week, and will arguably be traveling the remainder of the quarter for work. Need to total up those IHG Points, We're Platinum Elite and we're heading to Aspire Elite status. It's rewards we get with our IHG Account and we total up points for things like free rooms and discounted rooms. We get one free night a year, and that is set to reset in a couple of weeks. The good news is your tax dollars are putting me up in a Suite this week again.

Plans for the day, grocery shopping, and getting what Michelle may need for the week. Come home and take care of the animal's needs and I'll write a week's worth of blogs today. That way I don't have to worry about it when I am traveling. I usually do it when I am on the road, I do have a Chromebook that fits my needs, but at the end of a long day, I'm usually tired. First-day of travel there will be a Walmart trip for me to stock up on things like soda.

Other than it's going to be a day of relaxation, I know Michelle is going to want it after her long day yesterday.

Have a great day.

Saturday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit in a quiet household, just me and Peanut talking about if we overpaid Oliver who has yet to produce his first termination. Peanut thinks I should take Oliver's Popcorn and convert it to cat treats for good cats like herself.

Well today is Michelle's Grandmother Ruth's, or better known on this blog as Gigi, 100th birthday and they are planning a big party today. She didn't quite make it to the century mark as she passed earlier this year, but there will still be a celebration today in East Liverpool. Michelle will be going up and come home later this evening.

My day will be consumed with cutting grass and other fun activities that I could get into. If I were working locally next week I would have gone with her, however, I'm traveling to Tridelphia and working all next week. I'll stay back and take care of all the animals and get a few chores done around the house.

Have yourselves a great day, make it the best day you can.

Big Ole Hairy Friday

Yes, it is once again that time of the week that we all look forward to when we can take time to cease the labors for the week and take a little bit of needed time out to enjoy the fruits of those labors. It is once again the dawn of another weekend and a Big Ole Hairy Friday.

High School Football is just about to start this weekend and we are ready for it. The Morgantown High Mohigans are at home this week and will be hosting South Charleston this evening. The University High Hawks are also at home this week and will be hosting John Marshall this evening as well. Clay Battelle is also home and hosting Federal Hocking (OH) in Blacksville. Trinity is off this weekend, but host Bridgeport Oho next Friday Night. Good luck to all the local teams, here is to a safe and healthy football season.

It's been a busy week for me of, well busy work. I'll be continuing that once again this afternoon as I try to close out some local segments before I head out to travel next week. Michelle is off this weekend and will be heading back to East Liverpool to celebrate her GrandMother Gigi's 100th birthday tomorrow, There is a big event and a lot of activity planned including a lantern release tomorrow evening.

Have yourselves a great day.

Photo Flashback Thursday

Once a week I like to take a little bit of time out, time to look at some of the 30,000+ photos that I have stored on my computer. Little lost moments in time that I either captured with a lens, scanned, or just stole from someplace on the internet. I like to find just one and post it up and recall or relive the picture to the best of my ability. Sometimes this is a pretty easy task and sometimes it's not that easy, one thing it has always been a whole lot of fun.

This week's pic goes way, way back. Actually to a time I really can't remember with a man who was a very big influence on my life. The man

This pic was taken sometime during the 1960s, I was just a cute little bald boy back then. The most adorable little hellion in the world. The picture was taken at Coopers Rock with my Grandpa Hall. Good times went by.

Have yourselves a great day.

* Drone still needs to be sent out for repairs, not a big priority at this time.

* I may take a long weekend as I am traveling next week.

* Town seems to have calmed down a little, now that the students are here and settled in. It's not complete chaos as it was last week.

* I'm working in Morgantown and Marion County once again this week. Next week will see me traveling.

* Kim and Robert have returned from their trip to pick up their Dog. I think she is happy to be home and not traveling until they go on vacation.

* I had to buy Microsoft 365 for my online email address, Godaddy had switched services and went to another service and it has been nothing but a headache. I've had roughly 80,000 (honest number) emails bounce around I am working with tech support to get this taken care of.

* I should be around town working today, but we'll have to wait to see if I'm here or eating Yanns Hot Dogs for lunch.

* Have yourselves a great day.

Monday

All good things must come to an end, now it is time to take our collective noses and stick them back onto the grindstone for another fun-filled week of doing what it is we do for a living. Hopefully, Oliver can eat less popcorn and get to doing what he is being paid to do and clear this town of traffic.

Michelle is feeling a little better after running a fever on Saturday. You can't be too safe and we ended up missing three events all centered around young children, but better safe than sorry. We're both vaccinated, but that doesn't mean we couldn't be carriers. I feel fine, but we used a bit of caution just to be on the safe side.

I'll be working locally or semi-locally this week, however next Monday I'll be working around Cabellas up near Wheeling. That is where my brother Gary lives, but he's still in Florida for the time being doing some remodeling work. Something tells me that both Coleman's Fish Market and DiCarlos Pizza next week. YUUUM

Have yourselves a great week this week, my week should be a little less busy as I had both cars inspected last week and that's done.

Sunday

Here I sit once again on a quiet Sunday morning. Peanut and I are up watching some educational television, and by educational I mean who knows what is on the TV. Michelle is still fast asleep and Peanut and I are discussing what we need from the store.

Grocery shopping kind of day, same as every other Sunday for us. Time to plan the meals for the week as I will be working in town or close this upcoming week. Next week is a different story and I'll be heading to the Panhandle to work.

Michelle and I are both off today, I worked yesterday and am in need of a little rest and relaxation. We had three events yesterday, two birthdays and the Johnny Koon Lantern launch and butterfly release. With COVID numbers going up in our county, we just best thought that staying home was our best option. Maybe next year as this is two years in a row that we have missed it and both were pretty much COVID related.

No plans for this afternoon other than a nice nap and maybe watch a movie or two.

Have yourselves a great day.

Saturday Morning Rambligs

Here I sit in a quiet household, Oliver the Ostrich and I are reviewing how many students he terminated with extreme prejudice here in town, would you believe he wants more popcorn and says he is still seeking out a strategic first victim. I think he is playing me for free popcorn.

Well my day off is over with and I will be heading out to work today. It's going to be a busy day for me to say the least, a couple of birthdays and the Johnny Koon Lantern release is tonight, so this will be another very busy day. I'm used to it this week of long days.

I'll be working this week in Morgantown and Marion County, however next week I'll start my travels and will be working the Northern Panhandle once again. Our numbers have all pretty much went to an escalated status, I would attribute that to the students but it's just the trend throughout all of West Virginia. Stay safe and protect yourselves.

Have a great day.

High School Football is just one week away from starting the 2021 season. good luck to all of the local teams on the upcoming season. May you have a full season and may COVID not prevent any games this season.

I'm off today but Michelle is working. I guess her next Saturday to work won't happen until next month as there are 6 girls in the rotation now. I'll be working local for the next week, but I will be traveling to the Northern Panhandle to start working the following week. This means Coleman's Fish Market for me the week after next and probably some DiCarlos for dinner, but I need to find one in the Wheeling area and not run clear to Glen Dale.

I'll be doing a lot of running around today, laundromat, Walmart, Sam's, and maybe another place or two as I try to get a few chores done around the house.

Have yourselves a great day.

This weeks pic goes back to a Christmas Eve from many moons ago, it was from 2004 and we had Christmas Eve at the Old Country Inn when Terri and Nick owned it.

This picture is of my younger brother Gary, who coincidently I hear is in Florida right now on vacation, or working or something like that. I think he's doing a little remodeling for someone as he enjoys Florida. Ironically, that is a state that I have never been to believe it or not.

Have yourselves a great day.

Monday

All good things must come to an end, and that does in fact include my fun-filled day off or weekends as many of you refer to them. Now it is time to take our collective noses and stick them back onto the grindstone for another fun-filled week of doing what it is that we do for a living.

This week will see both Michelle and I work on Saturday. It's her weekend to work and I usually work Saturdays when I am not traveling for work. I'm in Morgantown this week but may travel the following week.

I have to get both of our cars inspected this week. I'm scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday Morning first thing to have both Pearl and Ice inspected. I usually use Hartsell's, Brian is a long-time friend and I trust his opinion. Hopefully, we shouldn't run into too much trouble getting them inspected this year.

Do you know where you were 44 years ago today at about 3:00 in the afternoon? I do, I was in the backyard playing wiffleball (where Brittany now works) when Grandma Hall came out and told me the news that Elvis had passed away. He will have been dead two years longer than he lived, life was definitely too short in his case.

I wonder if there will be a Fall Fest this year, there wasn't one last year and I have not heard anything about one this year. Oliver must be doing his job, the popcorn I put out is all gone and Michelle and Kiwi are playing innocent.

Have yourselves a great day

Sunday

Here I on a quiet Sunday morning, I'm up contemplating with Kiwi how we can use the killer ostrich to scare all of the college students who have just returned back to Morgantown and made traffic horrible. Kiwi says he has a cousin Oliver the Ostrich who has a bit of a vicious side and he works for popcorn of all things. If you see this Ostrich running around Morgantown, run as he is a killer.

It's a day off for Michelle and me, we need an alibi for when Oscar goes on his rampage. A little early morning trip to Krogers to do the weekly shopping, come home and do a few weekly chores, and we are calling it a day. We've earned it and Sunday afternoon is the only time we have together where we are not tied up doing something else.

Did anyone drive around town yesterday, the students are definitely back and a bunch of the town newbies don't know how to navigate the roads like the locals just yet. Give them time, they'll get the hang of it.

My niece Amy had an honor this past weekend, some of the pics she took of her trip to Amish County were put on display by the Ohio Amish Country Group on Facebook. I've always said she is one hell of a photographer. Congratulations Amy.

Have yourselves a great day.

Saturday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit in a quiet household, I'm still in slumberland after getting my butt kicked by the Sandman last night. I'm up a little early collecting my thoughts for the day and telepathically getting blog advice from the great Kiwi, King of all Birds.

I did not work yesterday, so to speak, the client I went to meet Thursday was playing a game of I'm not going to open the door, just pretend like I'm not here all day. Someone else in that household we were supposed to try to set something up for yesterday, but I had better things to do.

Better things to do? Dry Laundry, run to Walmart, Sams, and take a bunch of stuff to Michelle's work for lunches and snacks while she is working. Then it was home to take the great kiwi outside and then in the 93° heat, I cut grass. Thankfully we bought a riding mower a couple of years ago and it makes what used to be a labor-intensive job so much simpler.

Today's plans? I'm heading out and working today. Not sure exactly where I will be working, we'll have to review my notes in a little while and best figure where I can be most effective.

Have yourselves a great day.

Big Ole Hairy Friday the 13th

Yes, it is once again that time of the week that we all look forward to when we can take time to cease the labors for the week and take a little bit of needed time out to enjoy the fruits of those labors. It is once again the dawn of another weekend and a Big Ole Hairy Friday the 13th.

As of press time I do not know whether or not I will be working today. I scheduled myself to be off today, but a work situation where I may have to review my schedule to meet the needs of a client may just be a reality. If I do that I'll just take tomorrow off and make it two consecutive day weekend.

Michelle is off all weekend, she works today and this is not her alternate weekend to work so she is off tomorrow.

Students are starting to move back into the dorms, and are starting to come back into town. Classes start on Wednesday for them so this weekend will probably be pretty busy around the bars downtown. Might be something that you want to avoid.

Look at that jump shot, that style, and grace. This young wild-eyed young man had his future planned out for him from this moment on. Would he be a future NBA MVP? Nope, he became a Coal Miner in the hills of West Virginia.

This is a picture of my Dad when he played Gradeschool Basketball for Van Voorhis. The Van Voorhis School is long gone, and probably not many people remember it, but it was towards the end of Van Voorhis Road going down the hill to Van Voorhis.

The school was closed and just a remnant of itself by the time I was in Grade School, I ended up going to Flatts Elementary as well as many of the smaller schools out this way during those years including Bakers Ridge and Van Voorhis Schools.

My only question is this, did the ball go in?

Have yourselves a great day.

Monday

That nice and relaxing weekend is over with, now it's time to head back into that thing that we call work. Now it's time to take our collective noses and stick them back onto the grindstone for another fun-filled week of changing the world.

I will be working in the same areas that I have been working in the past two weeks. I suggested spending a day in Fairmont, but we shall see how it goes.

I do have a warning for all Morgantown residents this week. The WVU Students will start returning this week starting on Thursday when the dorms start to open up for students. In short, that means there are going to be a whole lot more people in town and on the roads this week. We were at Krogers yesterday and you could see all the ramen noodles in big bins in anticipation of them buying them up.

Hayley is picking up her two cats and her dog today, so Peanut can come out of hiding. She has sequestered herself in the back bedroom since these feline invaders have shown up here.

Have yourselves a great day.

Sunday

Here I sit in a quiet household if that is what you call it. We still have two additional cats and a doggie that will be here until Hayley comes and gets them after work tomorrow. I'm up watching who knows what and collecting my thoughts for the day.

We ended up making it to Nick and Terri's yesterday for the cookout that they were having. She had texted me earlier in the week to invite Michelle and I and we accepted. Nasrin came in as well as Samira and Auden and his Girlfriend. It was a very nice get together, it's been too long since we have had anything like this excluding Amy's housewarming a few weeks ago.

Today Michelle and I are going to do our Sunday thing. Grocery shopping, some batch cooking for the week (Beef Stew this week) and the typical chores that we do every Sunday.

Have yourselves a great day.

Saturday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit, now married for 10 years and 1 day. we have a household full of animals. Four cats including Hayley's two Cats. Her dog Gracie and of course of green cheek conure Kiwi. The household believe it or not is in fact quiet at this early morning hour.

Now it is back to reality after a day off, both Michelle and I are working today. This is her weekend to work, and I work all Saturday's when I'm local. We both work shortened days on the weekends, so it won't be that bad.

We have been invited to a cookout this afternoon after work at Terri's. We're going to try to make it, but work situations could dictate our schedules and ultimately dictate our availability. We are planning on trying to make it as Samira is in and Nasrin is coming down for the event.

Tomorrow is the other half of our weekend and we are looking forward to that.

Have yourselves a great day.

Happy Birthday Randy Hamrick

I would like to take this opportunity to wish my wonderful and camera-avoiding nephew Randy "Bub" Hamrick a very Happy Birthday today. It's very hard to get a picture of him sometimes, but I do manage to get a few.

If my math is correct, Randy will be celebrating his 33rd birthday today. I just realized I am really getting old.

Not sure what Randy will be getting into today, but something tells me he will be at Terri's this afternoon. I don't get to see him that often but you know he is always pretty active and into something or another.

If you happen to see Randy today, and hopefully most of us will make sure that you take a little bit of time out and with this fine young man a very happy Birthday today.

Happy Birthday, Randy.

Ten Years

It was ten short years ago that my life was forever changed. At age 47 and a lifelong bachelor and one woman came into my life and changed all of that.

It was ten years ago today, that my wonderful wife, my best friend, my soulmate forever officially came into my life as my wife. Ten years ago today in front of friends and family at the Marilla Center Michelle and I with the help of a co-worker of hers at the time, had our lives forever joined together as we became husband and wife.

These have been the happiest ten years of my life, we've purchased two new cars (a first for both of us), we have taken to date six cruises together to the Caribbean. We traveled to Niagara Falls, St Louis a couple of times, and even San Diego two years ago and we did it all together.

We have seen Hayley grow up and into an amazing young woman and witnessed her entering her journey into blissful matrimony just two short months ago.

This amazing young woman has given me an amazing life the past ten years as Husband and Wife. The luckiest day of my life is the day that she walked into it and then walked back into it again years later.

Michelle, I love you with all my heart and you completed the part of my life that was empty. These ten years have been absolutely amazing, here is to the next ten years topping thse ten years.

Happy Ten Year Anniversary.

This weeks pic goes back to Thanksgiving 2004, we had all met up a Terri's for a Thanksgiving Feast and I had my new camera with me so I grabbed a few pictures including this one. I grabbed group photos of everyone from Terri's clan. Erica Jean was still just a newborn.

This was in fact one of those Thanksgivings that we all went to Suburban Lanes afterward to go bowling.

Have yourselves a great day

Tuesday's Tidbits

 * Monday Completed, loading up a Tuesday. Great reason to do tidbits, that and Peanut says just do it.

* It has been 21,067 days since I was born, that is 21 years using my new and improved 991 day Calender. I prefer my calendar as it is the best calendar and it is variable.

* It has been 6,298 days since I graduated from WVU with a Degree in Geography. I also have a minor in Communications and a Minor in History. I do love my mapping and Geography.

* 4,885 days ago Michelle and I had our first date together, Pizza Hut and some stupid movie that I can't remember much about. That Pizza Hut is now gone.

* 4,114 days ago I proposed to Michelle, 4:00 in the morning in the back yard. It was no surprise, she knew it was coming.

* It was 3,636 days ago in front of our closest friends and family, Michelle and I became husband and wife at the Marilla Center, then we feasted like Kings and Queens. It was a memorable day.

* I have now lived 1,276 days longer than my Dad did and I'm still going strong. I wish this was one bullet point that I didn't have to do.

* I have 3,844 days to go until I retire, give or take a few hundred days here or there.

* The next Backyard Brawl where we beat Pitt's ass in Football is only 404 days away.  EAT SHITT PITT

* There are only 229 days until the start of Spring 2022. My favorite season of the year rolls around again.

* There are 190 days until Michelle and I head to Pittsburgh to see Reba in concert. The Concert was supposed to be this August (actually it was supposed to be in March of last year) and they have moved it until the middle of February next year. So basically I bought tickets for a concert in 2022 in 2019.

* 181 more days until Phil steps to center stage again for Groundhogs Day, he has ended his winter vacation and can once again be seen in the back yard eating the Corn Michelle puts out.

* 150 more days to go until my Goodbye 2021 Blog is posted, I'm hoping for a big year this year.

* There are 143 more shopping days left until Christmas 2021. You still have plenty of time.

* The next Anniversary of my 21st Birthday will be in 120 more days.

* There are 3 more days to go until Michelle and I celebrate our Tenth Wedding Anniversary together. =)

* I have written 6,484 blogs in the now 16 1/2+ years since I started blogging.

* Drone still needs to be sent out for repairs, not a big priority at this time.

* Friday will be mine and Michelle's Tenth Wedding Anniversary. We are both off.

* My Apple Watch needed to be reset, Michelle started the reset to do the update. Here is the kicker, I only use it as a watch.

* I'm working in Morgantown this week and probably for a few weeks. Large segment here in town that is getting addressed for RTI. After that, I think I'm going to Parkersburg for a week.

* With it being August, High School Football practices have probably began. I know we always started August 1st.

* Have yourselves a great day.

Monday

Here we go again, another Monday and another week filled with adventures and a chance to change the world for the better by doing what it is we do for a living. Time to stick that old nose on the grindstone and start another week of working.

I am still working here in Morgantown this week, I will be here at least this week and maybe next. I know they are talking about me traveling to Parkersburg to work for a week to work a troubled segment, but that's not this week. I'll once again be out near the lake working this week.

Michelle will be working this weekend, meaning that we will both be off on Friday, which happens to be (drumroll please....rat at tat a tat a tat) our Tenth Wedding Anniversary. I find it quite amazing that someone could put up with me for that long, I guess I am really the lucky one.

Today is a sad one, this is when the reality starts to set in for 1,400 Mylan Employees that Mylan is no more. Production has ceased and everyone has been permanently laid off. I have no idea what the future holds for Morgantown, but Mylan was a big part of it. I think they still have some employees around town, but the production facility on Chestnut Ridge Road is now idle. Mylan Puskar would NEVER have let this happen, he loved this town and that facility too much.

Have yourselves a great day

Sunday

Like sands in the hourglass, so are my early morning weekend blogs. They just keep going and going and going and going. Peanut is not out here and I am flying solo once again, Kiwi is even still sleeping. It must be that I am one of those rare people who prefers early early morning.

What's on my agenda? Other than a day off for both Michelle and I? Grocery shopping and other weekly household chores. Michelle is on call from work in case they need to get anything out of the old location and into the new one. I'm just going to relax this afternoon.

I might even watch myself a movie or two this afternoon. I can use a nice relaxing day, that is unless my wife wants me to do other things that may take precedent to my lazy day, such as mowing the lawn, or something of that nature.

Michelle is getting excited about the girls' trip coming up in a couple of months. She was going to ger some bath bombs that she really loves but decided on making Hot Chocolate Bombs to give out. Kayley, Abbie, and Korey are all going to get together and make them. Michelle bought the molds and Hayley just lives right down the road from Sarris Candies and Michelle ordered some other things as well. I'm sure Luke will volunteer to be Quality Control Supervisor.

Have yourselves a great day.
