Yes, it is once again that time of the week that we all look forward to, when we can take time to cease the labors for the week and take a little bit of needed time out to enjoy the fruits of those labors. It is again the dawn of another weekend and a Big Ole Hairy Friday!!!!

Are you ready for a little bit of High School Football? Morgantown High is on the road at Hedgesville this evening. University High is on the road against Washington, and Clay Battelle is on the road against Valley Wetzel. I don't know why or how all three Monongalia County teams are all on the road this weekend, but that is what the schedule says somehow. Both Morgantown and University High only have 4 home games each this season (out of 10); that makes sense. 

Not planning on getting into too much this evening. WVU does play at home tomorrow against UT Martin, but that is just another home warm-up game before the tougher teams appear on the schedule. Michelle is going to be doing the Sam's Club shopping after work, like she does every week.

Are you looking for a little bit of High School Football? Morgantown High will be at home this evening against Jefferson, a team they defeated in the Semi-Finals last season on their way to a State Championship. University High will be making a trip to Parkersburg to play Parkersburg South. I think that Clay Battelle is off this week; it seems kind of early to take a Bye week, but what would I know. 

Tomorrow, Morgantown will be quite busy as the Mountaineers play host to Coastal Carolina. This is actually a replacement game; we were scheduled to play Alabama, but the SEC is making their Conference teams play 9 Conference games this year, and they decided to drop us rather than some other non-conference game. This game was supposed to be in Morgantown too.

 Are you looking for a little bit of Cheap Entertainment this evening, and by cheap, I mean free? Well, head on down to the Ruby Ampitheatre this evening for the last show of the season and it's going to be a good one. 38 Special returns to Morgantown for the first time in 38 years to play the Ampitheatre. I saw them at the old Greer Pavilion over in Westover Park when they used to bring in acts ands it was a great show. I have always been a 38 special fan and I listen to them quite often on my iPhone or on Spotify at work. 

I missed it last week, but High School Football is in full swing. Defending AAAA State Champion Morgantown travels to Parkersburg this evening. University High it at home against Mussleman and Clay Battelle is at home against Cameron. Good luck to all of the local teams this evening.

Well, head on down to the Ruby Ampitheatre this evening and see Ashley Cooke this evening starting at 7:00. I have to be honest, I don't know who she is or anything about her, but that may be a reason for a pleasant surprise. This will be the next-to-last concert of the summer. 

No big plans for us this weekend, I might cut grass tomorrow as the grass cutting season is starting to draw to a close for 2026. There might be another month or so of time to cut it, but who knows.

What is on our agenda for this evening, of course Kiwi and Peanut want fed before they head downtown. Michelle will be doing the Sam's club shopping, and I would advise her to go early as students are reallly starting to make their presence known.

Kiwi and Peanut started the weekend celebrating a little bit early with their own party in the back yard. 

No big plans for the weekend that I know of. I may cut grass tomorrow weather permitting and we are putting Pearl into the shop on Monday to get it inspected and have any repairs made to it that she may need. We'll drop it off to Hartsell's first thing Monday Morning and then pick it up after we both get off of work.

The Fabulous Thunderbirds will be here and both Kiwi and Peanut are both excited, they have been playing their music all day long and dancing up a storm. They like the 80's music meant to sound like 50's music. 

No plans for the weekend as of press time. I know Jeanetta is going to have a birthday party for Jax tomorrow, so that will most likely be on our agenda over the next couple of days. 

You know this summer has just flown by, watch the students start to pile back into Morgantown slowly after this weekend. The upper classmen mainly who live off campus, this is when they start to trickle into town.

Nothing really on mine or Michelle's agenda this weekend other than what we do most weekends. Grocery shop and, weather permitting, I'll be mowing the grass. We are at the point in our lives where everything seems to be lather, rinse, and repeat. We have become too predictable in our, or at least my, old age. 

Michelle has been going to Hayley's doctor appointments with her, she is really excited that Hayley is starting to develop that bump. I'm not sure who is more excited, Hayley to be a mother or Michelle to be a Grandmother again.

Dark Side of the Moonshine, a Pink Floyd Tribute Band, will be the headliner this evening. Kiwi and Peanut are both Pink Floyd fans, so they are planning on being there and grabbing their normal seats. They like to be back a little so they can let loose and sing and dance the night away. 

No plans on the agenda as far as I know, but like always, that can change at the drop of a hat. OK< enough chit chat, let's get this day started so we can start the weekend.

It's July 3rd and many people have it as a Holiday, but I'll be working. I'm sure the city of Morgantown is doing something to celebrate the 4th of July.

Ice is in the shop today; she has some repairs that really need to be made, namely my brakes and my inspection for the two-year period. I need to do Pearl next month on her normal schedule, but I'm goiung to put 4 new tires on it before that. They are fine, but one of them is starting to show threads so I'll just replace them all and stay ahead of the game.

Grammy Award-winning Tonic will be the headliner this evening. Kiwi and Peanut asked for money to Uber down but I threw them some change and told them that they can take the PRT, it's cheaper and less headaches. I told them to have a good time, but not too good of a time as we have to cut grass tomorrow. 

There may be an announcement this coming weekend, more to come as I find out more and as the weekend progresses. It'll be worth waiting for, so just have a little patience.

Nothing going on this weekend other than normal stuff. Curt Brown passed away this week and his funeral was yesterday, I couldn't make it but I know Pam, and Terri did.

Another week down and completed, so what is on the agenda for this weekend? There is a benefit for Nick's family tomorrow from 1:00 - 5:00 at the Halleck-Tribune Firehall. Terri's boss is putting this together for her, he has done so much for her between her diagnosis a couple of years ago to just being there for her all the time, can't say I have met him and his wife, but they are truly nice people. 

Other than that, Michelle will do our Sam's run this evening and the regular Saturday Shopping tomorrow morning before we head up to the Firehall. 

Hey I almost forgot, if you are not doing anything tonight, head on down to the Ruby Ampitheatre for the first act in the Summer Concert Series with Almost Queen hitting the stage this evening. The show starts at 7:00 and is free for anyone who wants to go. Should be some good music.

I'm still working 10's, Kiwi and Peanut sent me a postcard and said hello from the rails to trails, they don't know specifically where they are at, something about the Appalachian Trail. 

No big plans for the weekend, other than going to a fundraiser for my Sister Terri NEXT weekend on Saturday from 12:00 to 5:00. It's going to be at the Triune Halleck Volunteer Fire Department. Floyd Cowger will be playing the benefit and that is all she knows at this time. 

This weekend? Maybe try to cut some grass and entertain the animals. Have yourselves a great day.

It is again the dawn of another weekend and a Big Ole Hairy Friday and the start of a three day weekend!!!!!!

I don't know what I am going to do with myself, three whole days off and I've been working 10 hour days (for overtime) since Nick had his wreck. Hopefully it will be filled with Happy times and memories, the students are gone so that is one factor of the Happy Times. 

I'm hoping to maybe fire the grill up this weekend, no plans but it is a three day weekend so it's a good time for the first cookout of the year. 

Michelle is off today and may be running to Rogers Ohio with Jim and Chris, she has a mammogram this morning and then they are talking about running up there after that. I'll be working.

Life can finally slow down a little bit after today, the past week and a half have been kind of hectic and to be honest with you I'm glad we are on the back side of that block of time. 

We had a great time last night, Layla Graduated from the MedEd Program and Michelle and I attended. This is the one where she spoke at and was most important to her. It has been an honor watching this young woman grow up to say the vey least. She was Michelle's Flower Girl for our wedding. 

No plans for the weekend yet, just coming back to reality.

Another week down, and I think my pets are trying really hard to try and tell me something. 

So what is on the agenda for the day and weekend? It's just a lather, rinse, repeat weekend to be honest with you. I guess the older you get, the less you think about running around and doing fun and exciting things, and try to concentrate on some of the most important things in life. Naps. I, at that point, where I enjoy waking up and knowing it was sjust a nap and I don't have to get ready to go into the office.

I think Kiwi and Peanut have broken into our old wedding stuff and have decided the celebrate the start of the weekend Jimmy Buffett style. They are really in a festive mood and they have Jimmy streaming on the Alexa app. I think they like this time of the year as well, very festive of them. 

So no plans on the agenda as of yet, but you never know what may come our way or what we will end up doing. 

I'm still a couple of months from starting my Friday blogs with the free concert series, helping me fill up content for people to read.

Kiwi and Peanut are celebrating Good Friday, Michelle is off and I think I may be off as well with me working the longer shifts this past week. I think they are just sucking up for some of Michelle's Deviled Eggs to be honest with you. 

Plans for the weekend? I think the kids are coming down on Sunday to visit, Michelle invited Hayley, Tyler and Luke to come down for dinner. Other than that no big plans for the weekend. I think Michelle may actually do all of her shopping today since she will be off, but you never know. 

I think my life has become so repetitive that there really isn't any excitement anymore to be honest. We go to work, do things around the house and lather rinse and repeat. I'm like clockswork.
