Back To Work

All good things must come to an end, and that includes those relaxing and fun filled things that we work all week for called weekends. Now it's time to stick our collective noses back onto the grindstone and get back to doing what it is we do for a living.

Looking at my week ahead, I do have to go in and get some blood work done this week, we've been doing it every three months to build a baseline, this is just my next go around with all of the testing.

Other than that nothing really special coming up this week, it's just one of those another day another dollar type of weeks coming up. Wake up, go to work, come home and eat dinner, play around on the computer and then go to bed, lather rinse repeat, lather rinse repeat.

I did run into my cousin Lynne yesterday morning. Her and Aaron were out grocery shopping at WalMart yesterday morning and we ran into each other a couple of times. We stopped and said hello and caught up for a few minutes before we both went our own ways doing our shopping. It's always nice to see her, I really do need to get in touch with her more often.

Have yourselves a great day.

Smoking Sunday

Here I sit early in the AM, we have the smoker fired up with a few pork butts in it as Trish and Layla, Hayley, her boyfriend Tyler and son Luke will be coming over later this afternoon to enjoyed a fine delicacy of smoked pig rear end and my feet wrapped in socks..lol

Michelle was up earlier than me today and had the smoker ready before I even got up, I'm such a slacker this morning. This is not our first weekend of smoking, we smoked last weekend as well, but Trish and Michelle were talking last week and mentioned about smoking, so we're doing it again today.

We ran up to Harry's yesterday (that was an adventure to say the least) to get the meat. Their credit card machine wasn't working, so I run to Fairchance to an ATM to get cash (we bought a lot of other meat as well), and that ATM was out of service so we had to drive all the way back to Morgantown to my Bank, get the cash and then drive all the way back up there to get what we had purchased. Wouldn't you know it the ATM was working when we got back. What a day.

Weather permitting, I may fly the drone around the yard this afternoon, I'm sure the kids would get a kick out of it.

Have yourselves a great day, we're smokin!

Saturday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit on a quiet Saturday Morning, Michelle just got up and is firing up the Espresso Machine and I'm watching Ferrell Takes the Field on Home Box Office. I'm up a little later than normal this morning, but it's still before the Roosters wake up and crow.

I will be going out into the field once again today to work for RTI, but I'm at the end of a section and am just running down the final elusive people to see if I can get them screened. It should not be a long day, just one that I am committed to doing to create a time stamp record and visit.

Two days of the NFL Draft are over with First, then the Second and Third Rounds, and no Mountaineers have been drafted as of yet. The Pittsburgh Steelers did draft a QB -WR combo from Oklahoma State Yesterday. James Washington was selected and Mason Rudolph in the third. I had actually heard that the Steelers were talking about trading up (and did ) to draft the QB Rudolph, but I heard that before the Draft, so they must have been high on him.

The Pirates won last night 6-5 after falling behind 6-5. Morgantown Native Jedd Gyorko started the scored off for the Cards with a solo Home Run (his 101st of his career), but the battling Buccos ties it in the 9th and won it in the 11th. No other plans for the day unless my wonderful wife finds something she would like to do.

Have yourselves a great day today.

Big Ole Hairy Friday

Yes it is once again that time of the week that we all look foreword to, when we can take time to cease the labors for the week and take a little bit of needed time out to enjoy the fruits of those labors. It is once again the dawn of another weekend and a Big Ole Hairy Friday.

No big plans for us today other than our typical Friday routine. Working, shopping, dinner and then go home and feed the cats and relax for the evening. We are pretty boring when it comes to Friday's.

I'll be heading out working in the field once again tomorrow, as I did last night, doing some field work for RTI. The weather has been less than cooperative so far this season, maybe Mother Nature can stop screwing around and give us some Spring time Weather.

Have yourselves a great day.

Photo Flashback Thursday

Once a week I like to take a little bit of time out and look through some of the pictures that I have either taken, scanned or stolen off of the internet through the years and find one special picture that stands out. Little lost moments in time from yesterday caught with a Cameras lens and relived right here in my blog. Sometimes it's pretty easy to find that one special picture and sometimes it's not that easy, one thing it consistently is however is a whole lot of fun.

This weeks pic goes back to last Summer, back to when we welcomed Jeanetta into our family as her and Calvin officially ended their years of dating and entered into the world of Holy Matrimony.

There were married last June in Harrisonburg, Virginia and Michelle and I drove down and stayed overnight for the wedding. It was held just off the campus of James Madison, where Jeanetta had just Graduated from a few weeks before.

It was a special day with some special people.

Hump Day

Well that is two days down, and two more ahead of us after today, so now all that we have to do is get up and over this dreaded Noon time hump and it will be all downhill as we work towards another fun filled weekend.

Do you know what the worst thing is about writing a seven day a week blog? Having to write them ahead of time due to a conflict in schedules and then having to come up with content that anyone really cares about. Every other day of the week pretty much has a theme or is significant, all except for poor lonely Wednesday, the day no one really cares about.

I try to keep my blog neutral and try not to say anything to offend, just try to inform and make light hearted and boring posts. I have to say that with some of the events going on at Mylan this past week, laying off 500 people, that it's hard not to say that this group of leadership is an absolute disgrace and that the founder is rolling over in his grave at how what he built is being run. This is people's livelihoods and you have board members who are making upwards of $100 Million in bonuses. It's absolutely disgusting that as many as 800 families here in Morgantown over the past six months have had to deal with this as their fake degree CEO increases her Salary some more. Totally disgusted by the current Mylan leadership, if that is what you call them. Rant over.

Have yourselves a great day today, live it to the fullest and make the most of it.

Tuesday's Tidbits

* Monday is once again complete, time to concentrate on a Tuesday and that means it's time for a tidbits.

* It has been 19,869 days since my reported birth, by my calculation and using my patented 938 day calendar, that should make me 21 years old by my calculations or 54 by these old antiquated calender's.

* It has been 5,091 days since I graduated from WVU we are about to add a number of graduates to that total here in a few weeks.

* 3,692 days ago Michelle and I went out for our very first date, we're still together despite a horrible movie choice.

* It was 2,453 days ago that Michelle and I exchanged our Marital vows and became Husband and Wife.

* I have now lived 78 days longer than my Dad did,  it puts the he was way too young into a whole different perspective.

* I have 4,969 days to go until I retire, give or take a few hundred days here or there, or at least start doing something else with my life other than working.

* The next Backyard brawl where we beat Pitt's ass in Football is only 1,607 days away. I'm eagerly awaiting kicking some Panther butt.

* 284 more days until Phil gets to be the center of attention once again and tells the world he is the premier weather prognosticators.

* 251 more days to go until my Goodbye 2018 Blog is posted, when I recall my year based on what was written right here.

* There are 244 more shopping days left until Christmas, it's a little early to start on a wish list.

* My next Anniversary of my 21st Birthday will be in 221 more days. I think this will be the 34th anniversary?

* There are 111 more days to go until Michelle and I celebrate our Seventh Wedding Anniversary together. I am so happy that she came into my life.

* There are 93 days to go until MountainFest Starts, we already have our tickets and this will be our second year of attending. Alabama, Brett Michaels and Montgomery Gentry will be the featured acts throughout the weekend. Ticket's are now $50 each for the weekend, we bought ours just before Christmas for $40 each for the entire weekend and before all acts were named.

* There are 74 more days until we go and see Jimmy in Pittsburgh again after him bypassing Pittsburgh last year.

* There are 58 more days to go until the start of Summer.

* I have written 5,225 blogs in what is now my 13 plus full years of being a Blogger and working towards 10,000. Only 4,775 more to go until I reach that Milestone.

* Nothing new on the Brother Search, but what else is new. It's been kind of dormant for a couple of years now after the brick wall was reached.

* No drone flights this past weekend, I know weather was nice but I didn't fly at all.

* I'm loving this weather finally, I actually watched a Pirate Baseball game on TV Sunday afternoon.

* Michelle has had a headache for about a week now and I'm not referring to me lol. She tends to get migraines and they are bad.

* This weeks Riddle: Two in a corner, 1 in a room, 0 in a house, but 1 in a shelter. What am I?

* I'm STILL converting some old VHS tapes to Digital Format for Trish. I really need to get back on this as I am such a procrastinator.

* Have yourselves a great day.

Monday

Well I wouldn't say Love...lol
Well all good things must come to an end, and that includes those fun filled things we refer to as weekends. It was nice being off all weekend and having a little bit of time to relax and spend with Michelle, now it's time to stick our collective noses back onto the grindstone and get back to doing what it is we do for a living.

New week and new challenges ahead, I'm ready for them however. I do have a big safety meeting this afternoon, it's just one of the monthly things that the prime on our contract does once a month, my company also does one once a month as well. We both like to make sure that when people safely come to work, that we can safely return them to their families at the end of the day. We really do have a remarkable safety record when you consider everything that we do under this contract.

Not sure what my schedule will be with RTI this week, we were waiting until today to assess how everything has went with cleaning up pending interviews has went. I have no pendings, so I got to stay home for the weekend. If the rest of the team did well this weekend, then I'll be back out in the field this week to try to wrap up my section.

Have yourselves a great day today.

Sunday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit on a quiet Sunday Morning, Labamba is playing in the background on HBO and of course I hear Peanut running around and conspiring to getting into some trouble. I'm up collecting my thoughts for the day and wiping the sleep out of my eyes.

Well we have decided that since we already started the BBQ season and I'm off today, this would be a great day to do some smoking. We have a pork butt seasoned and ready to go into the smoker later this morning. I bought a big one last year at Harry's that we sectioned off and prepared, this is just another section of that large one. First smoking of the season.

We are also going to try something a little different, I have to give full credit to Whitetail Crossing for this one as it was the first place I ever tried it and loved it, a Meat Loaf (A Small one) is going into the smoker this morning as well. I had it last Summer and absolutely loved it. We will already be firing up the smoker for the pork butt, might as well use it for a multiple purpose.

Peanut was out playing yesterday, and surprisingly she was back taking a nap early ion the afternoon. I guess she has to work up to full days of running around Meoutside and playing. I think he endless energy kitten days are behind her and is transitioning into a Cat. that doesn't have to go 100 MPH all the time.

Have yourselves a great day.

Saturday

Here I sit in a quiet household, the only thing I hear is a fan radiating behind me and my cat Peanut's name tags jiggling together as she plays with my feet. The TV was last set to stream something that is now over and I just haven't started something new or set it back to cable. I'm up collecting my thoughts and surfing the interwebs.

We had a little bit of a scare last night, Chad passed out from dehydration in the hallway and Michelle ran him to the Emergency Room last night. They pumped him with some fluids and ran a few tests and sent him back home a few hours ago.

There was a bit of bad news yesterday locally, Mylan Pharmaceuticals is laying off another 500 employees or 15% of their entire workforce. I'm not going to speculate as to what is the causation, I'm hearing a few different things but it's all third hand and I can't validate any of it. They laid off around 300 workers just a few months ago.

I'm not out working for RTI this weekend, our team has too many pending interviews and they do not want to do any new screening until they get some of the pendings cleaned up. I have a total of 0 pending interviews which means I've got the weekend off and wont be out in the field.

I did get the ultimate compliment at work and it's a pretty big one. Let me say a couple of projects I was the geospatial analyst on have won a couple of pretty prestigious awards in the past. Both the 2010 Atlas and the 2012 Atlas won awards plus I was the was the geospatial lead on an International Effort that involved many countries. I left that contract last year due to a loss of funding. Cue this week, our Federal Site Manager was meeting with a few significant people from Headquarters and was talking about GIS (What I do) to them. I've heard from multiple sources that I was referred to an "Internationally Acclaimed GIS Guru" (hence why I spoke about the Atlas work). They all wanted to meet me, this week and see a demonstration, but they got behind schedule a little and had to head back to DC. Yesterday I heard through the Grapevine that I may travel to Headquarters in the near future to give a demonstration. It's nice to have some pretty high up people refer to you in such a manner, even though I heard it from other sources.

Have yourselves a great day. I'm going to enjoy a day off.

I have to say this has been a fast week, but then again it's really not over with so I shouldn't speak too soon. I am planning on going out to work tomorrow for RTI if they permit us, but what I have to do has dwindled down and I'm not going full steam ahead like I do at the start of a quarter. Now it's just basically go and find the people I couldn't previously find at home and wrap it all up.

No big plans for this evening or this weekend, weather isn't going to be nice like it was last weekend, so my drone time might also be limited. I am getting excited for better weather and more opportunities to fly, now I just have to start finding interesting placed where it would be fun to fly and so I can also learn to pilot the drone a little better. Orientation is something I'm struggling with a little.

Have yourselves a great day today.

My how time flies, this picture was taken in 2009 on Christmas Day. Nearly 5 years and one day later Jean would no longer be with us.

This picture was taken in our home in 2009, Jean and Gary had missed the previous evenings festivities and had stopped by on Christmas Day for a visit. This was a time before Jean lost all of her weight through weight watchers and my back wall was empty without a bunch of shelves and cookware that now occupy it..lol

Hump Day

Well there are two days that are done, now it's just a matter of getting up and over this dreaded noon time hump and it will be all downhill towards that as we work towards another fun filled weekend.

I would first like to take this opportunity to wish my Brother In Law Jim a very Happy Birthday today. Jim is also a local auctioneer and I have discussed his auctions on multiple occasions on my blog.

I'm working both jobs again today, start the day at NETL and I'll finish my day out once again doing field work and trying to get interviews as the quarter keeps rolling along. Another week or so and I'll be able to wind down a little and relax and do a little clean up. I have opened all my line in all my sections, so now it's just a mater of finalizing them and wrapping them up.

Have yourselves a super day

Back at it

Well after a nice relaxing day off  yesterday (minus all the chores) it is time for me to put my day off in my rear view mirror and address the start of another week of doing what it is that we all enjoy doing so much. It's time to stick our collective noses back on the grindstone again and get back to it.

If you have not done your taxes for the year yet, you might want to start to address them. Tomorrow is Tax Day meaning you better have filed your return by midnight tomorrow night. It usually the people who owe money who wait till the last minute, but we paid what we owed about six weeks ago just to get it over with and done.

I am out pulling double duty today after taking yesterday off. I'm working my regular job during the day and then will head out into the field this evening after work to work for RTI once again. Another week or so and I should have these segments worked down, I was going to work it hard this past Saturday, but certain things took precedent and it was a short day so to speak.

Have yourselves a great day today.

Sunday

Here I sit once again in a quiet household, Michelle is still up in Ellwood City but will be returning home this evening after spending the weekend for Maddy's Birthday Party. I'm still holding down the fort until she returns.

Michelle and I did work in unison yesterday as we managed to get Hayley a car to replace the one with the smashed front end that is sitting in the driveway. We're not sure what condition that car is in or if it can be fixed, but that is now a Chad project and we'll see if he can work any kind of magic. For right now, Hayley has reliable transportation to get her back and forth from work. It needs some minor routine maintenance, like an oil change and replace the plugs and wires, but her boyfriend Tyler is taking care of that for her.

Peanut had a nice long Meoutside Day yesterday and is already telling me "Dad, open the door I want to Play" already. I do tend to speak Cat fluently and her and I have a good communication although she usually refers to me as Human rather than Dad...lol

I'm off today, and will be doing the shopping and laundry for the week so I'm the domestic goddess today I guess.

Have yourselves a great day and enjoy the weather.

Saturday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit in a quiet household, Michelle is up in Ellwood City for a Birthday party today, Chad is back in his room doing something and I'm up collecting my thoughts for the day.

Well I think Hayley totaled her car yesterday, she got into an accident on Beechurst Avenue and took out the front of her car. Luckily no one was hurt, the other car didn't have much damage and everyone walked away safely which is the most important thing. Her car on the other hand, might be in some serious need of some repairs or just simply junk it as we have no idea what the extent of the damage is. The most important this is everyone is OK and no one got hurt.

I'm out working in the field today and have switched up my schedule once again. My class that we were going to take next week got moved and I'm off tomorrow instead of next Saturday. So today will be the end of my consecutive days worked streak and I finally get a free day tomorrow. It's been a good quarter, but I have significantly worked down the workload.

Michelle is attending Maddy's Birthday party today, the theme is Trolls so I can't wait to see everyone's pictures from today's festivities. Jon and Laura do a great job of putting on Themed Birthday Parties for their kids, this one should be no different.

Have yourselves a great day.

Big Ole Hairy Friday

Yes it is once again that time of the week that we all look foreword to, when we can take time to cease the labors for the week and take a little bit of needed time out to enjoy the fruits of those labors. It is once again the dawn of another weekend and a Big Ole Hairy Friday the 13th.

Well Michelle and Chad will be traveling to Ellwood City for Maddy's second birthday party. Laura has picked the Troll's Theme and Michelle got her costume Wednesday night that she is going to wear. I told her to take the camera and get lots of pictures, as I will be here at home holding down the fort for the weekend. She's planning on coming back Sunday Afternoon. I'll be holding down the fort, doing all the shopping and doing the laundry for the week again this weekend. Maybe I should have a pizza party and invite myself =)

I will be working all weekend again, I was going to take this Sunday off, but we are both going to be taking a Concealed Carry class next Saturday and I'll have to be off for that day breaking my streak of consecutive days working and ending it at consecutive days where I worked one job or the other.

Have yourselves a great day.

Sometimes it's pretty easy to find that one special picture and sometimes it's not that easy, one thing it consistently is however is a whole lot of fun.

This weeks pic is from the second formal night of our last cruise. A couple nights on each cruise had formal nights for dinner, that was usually when they served the Lobster and everyone got dressed up. It was the one time we went and had our pictures professionally taken during the cruise.

This years pic we have actually sent to The Sign Shop to have a Lithopane made of this image. We saw the Lithopanes and decided we wanted one, then it was a matter of looking through the formal pictures and determining which one we wanted to have made and this was our selection.

Have yourselves a great day.

Hump Day

Let's just get up and over this noon time hump, and it will be all downhill as we are working towards another fun filled weekend as they call them. It's just over the horizon on the other end of a Photo Flashback and a big ole hairy one.

Me I'm on day 10 in a row and that streak will continue into the weekend but, but I'm not sure if I am working both days, it all depends on how this week and Saturday goes. I think I've got a pretty good start as far as the screening, so maybe I may take Sunday off if I don't have any interviews scheduled.

The Dominion Post is changing their website once again, and while they are doing it everything is free on their site. You can access the print edition and download a copy of today's paper, this is a short time thing as they will have their commercial product up and running pretty soon I'm sure, but enjoy it for the time being until they get everything up and running how they plan on making it.

Have yourselves a great day.

* It has been 19,855 days since my reported birth, by my calculation and using my patented 938 day calendar, that should make me 21 years old by my calculations or 54 by these old antiquated calender's. This same calendar calculated my sister Terri's age to be 19.

* I have written 5,211 blogs in what is now my 13 plus full years of being a Blogger and working towards 10,000. Only 4,789 more t go until I reach that Milestone.

* Nothing new on the Brother Search, but what else is new. It's been kind of dormant for a couple of years now after the brick wall was reached.

* No Drone flights this weekend, the weather and that geriatric wench Mother Nature were  a little less than cooperative with the weather.

* I think Michelle will be going to Jon and Laura's this weekend for Maddy's Birthday Party.

* RTI just launched a new NSDUH Website in case anyone is curious as to what I do when I talk about RTI.

* Have I ever mentioned I hate snow?

* This weeks Riddle: I have many teeth and sometimes they’re fine, First I’m by your head, then I’m down your spine. What am I? What am I?

* I'm STILL converting some old VHS tapes to Digital Format for Trish. I really need to get back on this as I am such a procrastinator.

* Have yourselves a great day.

Monday

The weekend as we all know it, or should I say most people know it, is over with. Now it's time to take our collective noses and stick them back on the grindstone for another fun filled week of doing what it is that we do for a living.

After a weekend of working for RTI, I am only working one job today and will be back at it with both jobs both tomorrow and Thursday. With a set schedule at NETL I try not to over extend myself during the week and especially try not to do back to back days since my schedule is a little less flexible.

Looking at the week ahead, both Michelle and I have Doctor's appointments later this week, ironically individually scheduled and around the same time somehow. I think Michelle is going to head up to Jon and Laura's Friday evening for Maddy's Birthday Party and of course I will be here holding down the fort once again and doing field work for RTI all weekend again.

Have yourselves a great day today.

Sunday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit in a quiet household, recovering from the over carb of Pizza Al's pizza last night and collecting my thoughts for the day. I'm up watching Cheaper by the dozen and trying to determine what all I have to do today and collecting my thoughts.

It's going to be a busy one for me, I write a number of blogs on Sunday for the week so that is what I will be doing for a little while. Then there is grocery shopping and our Phoenix Bakery run, followed by taking all the trash out and sorting my pills for the week, going over all the finances and playing the bills and then trying to be out in the field working by 11:00 as this is going to be a challenging one today and a new experience for me as I will attempt to tackle a new segment of special housing that I have never done before. My day is going to be busy to say the least and that is not even mentioning trying to make it to Bowling this evening before it's over to at least make an appearance.

Also from 3-5 today is the Johnny Koon Pediatric Brain Tumor Research Fund Bowl-A-Thon at Suburban Lanes. Bowling is only $2 a game and shoe rental is free, and proceeds go to WVU Children's Medicine. It's a very good cause, come on out and have some fun, bowl a few and raise money for a good cause.

Have yourselves a great day today.

Saturday Morning Rambling

Here I sit in a quiet household once again, I was the first person to get knocked out by the dreaded Sandman last night and I'm up collecting my thoughts for the day and thinking about laying back down for a while.

Well we are due a big snow storm today, so much so that the WVU Spring Football Game has been canceled for today because of all of the anticipated snow that is supposed to be coming. As of this current Blog time, there is no snow on the ground and I'm hoping Mother Nature's Alzheimer's takes over and she forgets to drop the white stuff today.

My plans for today and this weekend, it's a weekend and we just started another quarter fro RTI, so I will be doing a lot of field work this weekend trying to work my sections down, it's the first non-holiday weekend of the quarter so my free time is going to be rare this weekend. It does feel nice to get back out and going to new places and meeting new people, it's the funnest part of any quarter. After you have been through the roster once or twice then it's just the tedious task of trying to catch people at home.

I don't know about anyone else, but this is supposed to be shorts kind of season, not the long pants and jacket to keep warm. It should be windows down, music playing and smelling fresh air kind of season. I'm ready for Spring.

Have yourselves a great day today.

Happy Birthday Terri Beth Rehmani

I would like to take this opportunity to wish my Sister Terri Rehmani a very Happy Birthday today. If memory serves me correct and using my math is correct she is 18,628 days old  today and using my patented 938 Day Calendar, that puts her at 19 years old and still a teenager.

Terri is a very lovable person, I can't say that I have ever met anyone who has ever had the first derogatory thing to say about her, and in today's day and age that is one heck of an accomplishment. She makes everyone feel welcomed and at home any time anyone is around her. She is a truly amazing young 19 year old (according to my patented calendar) who is loved by all.

If you happen to see this wonderful person today, make sure that you take a little time out and wish her a very happy Birthday today.

Happy Birthday Terri.

If you are not doing anything Sunday, there is the Johnny Koon Bowl-A-Thon between 3-5 at Suburban Lanes. $2 a game and all proceeds go to a very good cause, the Johnny Koon Pediatric Brain Tumor Research Fund at WVU Children's Hospital.  Come out and have a good time and help raise money for a good cause. I'm going to try to make it, but I'll be working for the most part of it.

What is on my agenda for the weekend other than that? Well I will be working for RTI all weekend. It's going to be a common statement for the next few weeks as this quarter kicks off.

Not working this evening though and after work Michelle and I will do our traditional Sam's Club shopping followed by going out to dinner somewhere like we tend to do every Friday, or most of them if something is not planned.

This weeks pic goes back to the year 1986. Back to a time when I was living at Barrington North up above the hill from where I now live and had a few visitors one day. Mon and Don were in visiting from Georgia and Terri had just had my niece Amy and they all stopped by for a visit. Unless I am mistaken, this was the first time that I had actually got to see Amy (and the first niece I didn't hold like a hamburger).

There is actually another picture that I have posted a number of times previously from the same day, one that I'm sure many have seen before. It once again proves the simple fact that there was a time in my life when I was actually thin, in good shape and had hair....and a bad attempt at a mullet no less.

My how the years (and hair) seem to fly by, seems like it was only yesterday.

Have yourselves a great day today and make a difference in this world.

Hump Day

Well that is two days down, two more ahead of us (some of you), now we just have to collectively get up and over this noon time hump and it will be all downhill as we work towards another fun filled weekend.

It is going to be another long day for me after only working one job yesterday. I'm out in the field once again working for RTI doing field work (yeah new quarter) and trying to help out the SAMHSA study. It's going to be another long day like Monday, but I'm only working one job tomorrow and Friday and then my RTI job on Saturday and Sunday, so this is my second double job day of the week. I try to limit it to two days during the work week and not on consecutive days as my schedule is not as flexible at NETL at it used to be.

Nothing much to say today, too busy working to come up with my own original thoughts for the day, so I'm going to have to take a Mulligan on my brilliant Wednesday creativity this week, as if I ever really had any brilliant creativity.

Have yourselves a great day and it a good one, make a difference in this world.

Tuesday's Tidbits

* Monday is behind us and it was a long one, Tuesday is up next and that means it's time for another tidbits.

* It has been 19,848 days since my reported birth, by my calculation and using my patented 938 day calendar (like I pointed out yesterday for Amy), that should make me 21 years old by my calculations or 54 by these old antiquated calender's.

* It has been 5,070 days since I graduated from WVU fulfilling a lifelong dream that I had had.

* 3,671 days ago Michelle and I went out for our very first date, 10,000 BC and a Pizza. I always seemed to be a pizza and a movie kind of guy going all the way back to High School.

* 2,895 days ago I asked Michelle to be my wife.

* It was 2,432 days ago in front of our closest friends and family that Michelle and I poured sand into a vial and said "I Do" and we were.

* I am now 57 days older than my Dad when he passed, Hopefully we can make this a big number.

* I have 4,990 days to go until I retire, give or take a few hundred days here or there, or at least start doing something else with my life other than working. I am under 5,000 now, so there is that milestone that is accomplished.

* The next Backyard brawl where we beat Pitt's ass in Football is only 1,628 days away. I'm ready, I have always hated Pitt.

* 305 more days until Phil tells me that we are going to have an early Spring in 2019, doesn't matter what he says though, that Geriatric wench Mother Nature obviously doesn't listen to him.

* 272 more days to go until my Goodbye 2018 Blog is posted, nice round number to go until the end of the year.

* There are 266 more shopping days left until Christmas, not ready to start shopping just yet but I know kids have their lists started.

* My next Anniversary of my 21st Birthday will be in 242 more days. I think this will be the 34th anniversary?

* There are 132 more days to go until Michelle and I celebrate our magical Seventh Magical Wedding Anniversary. Woo Hoo

* There are 114 days to go until MountainFest Starts, we already have our tickets and this will be our second year of attending. Alabama, Brett Michaels and Montgomery Gentry will be the featured acts throughout the weekend. Ticket's are now $50 each for the weekend, we bought ours just before Christmas for $40 each for the entire weekend and before all acts were named.

* There are 95 more days until we go and see Jimmy in Pittsburgh again after him bypassing Pittsburgh last year.

* There are 79 more days to go until it's going to be Summertime officially. I'm ready for shorts and sandals weather and I was actually wearing shorts Saturday when I flew my drone.

* I have written 5,203 blogs in what is now my 13 plus full years of being a Blogger and working towards 10,000. Only 4,797 more t go until I reach that Milestone.

* Nothing new on the Brother Search, but what else is new. It's been kind of dormant for a couple of years now after the brick wall was reached.

* I did get a chance to fly my Drone Saturday. Yea Me. As I get more and more opportunities and get more and more comfortable with the controls, I think I'm going to make a few nice movies.

* Anyone notice how polarized our Country is becoming right now? Too much misinformation and propaganda going around, I fear for what my Grandfathers fought for.

* Peanut is noticing the nicer weather and is wanting Meowtide a little more, she knows winter is over. I had her out all day Saturday.

* Anyone figure out the Binary code from my April Fools Blog? It translated into "April Fools" if you actually went through the trouble of converting it.

* Looking for good places to fly a drone, just remember it can't be within 5 miles of an Airport.

* This coming Sunday the Johnny Koon Bowl a Thon  will be held at Suburban Lanes here in Morgantown. It's going to run from 3:00 - 5:00, I'm hoping to be able to make some of it as I'll be out doing field work.

* This weeks Riddle: I pass before the sun, yet make no shadow. What am I?

* I'm STILL converting some old VHS tapes to Digital Format for Trish. I really need to get back on this as I am such a procrastinator.

* Have yourselves a superfantabulous day

And So It Begins

Well all good things must come to an end, and that does in fact include those fun filled things referred to as weekends. Now it's time to stick our collective noses back on the grindstone for another week of doing what it is we do for a living.

In my case however I am starting a long stretch of consecutive days working, and that will include weekends for the next few weeks as we started a new quarter for RTI yesterday. I'm literally taking my stuff from my second job to work with me and going out into the field right after I finish up my regular job. So to say this is going to be a very long day for me is a bit of an understatement. I'll only work the one job tomorrow as I can't do two consecutive big days like that and then head out and do the long day again on Wednesday.

For you basketball fans, the NCAA Championship is this evening. Former WVU Coach John Beilein will lead his Michigan squad into the finals tonight against the team that beat us in the NCAA Tournament in Villanova. No predictions for tonight as my bracket is now officially completed as Kansas lost in the Semi-finals and I had Kentucky as the other team in the Championship and beating Michigan. It should be a good game this evening.

Have yourselves a great day today.

Sunday's Real Blog

OK I wrote my April Fools Day blog about three weeks ago, tot sure how effective that is was going to be.

First off I would like to tell everyone Happy Easter. The Holiest Day of the year for Christians. I hope everyone's day is filled with family, good times and creating lots of memories with special people.

I did finally get a chance yesterday to make a drone flight without my control panel being in training mode. I took it up to about 370' and even had it going about 45 MPH in doing so.

I was looking for places to fly yesterday, I first stopped at Mylan Park, but it was a little windy down where I was going to fly so I decided to try Mason Dixon Park. If anyone wants to know where there is a big Easter Egg Hunt next year, Mason Dixon Park is your answer. Cars were parked everywhere, places were roped off and I wasn't flying there so I returned to Mylan Park.

The video of yesterday's flight is attached and this blog.

Happy Easter and Have a great day.

Facebook making Changes

As of today, Facebook has taken on a "No Swearing" Policy. Zuckerberg says it is due to advertising and that they are trying a "Cleaner", more family friendly social media site.

This is part of a three prong attack to clean up the trash that is on the site. The next Phase will be to cut down and eliminate the amount of political posts that absolutely floods the site and trashes it to a point that it is sometimes unreadable. It's just saddening the number of people that don't know the difference between polyvinyl acetate resin emulsion glue and DiHydrogen Monoxide are now experts on everything political and invading social media.

The third and final phase will be that everything will be converted from text to Binary for output for example Binary Text for today's blog would be 01000001 01110000 01110010 01101001 01101100 00100000 01000110 01101111 01101111 01101100 01110011 0001010  For those who are not mathematically gifted, there is a site that will convert binary back to an Ascii Text for you quickly and easily.

Facebook is trying to be more family friendly for advertisers. The no cussing, the no more politics and the conversion from Ascii text to Binary are three things Facebook hopes will make it a much better place.
