Saturday

Here I sit once again on a cold and quiet Saturday Morning, Kiwi and Peanut have decided that with all the ICE protests that have been happening, they are going to do their own little version. When they hear Ice, they are not thinking of a Government agency but instead it's Mother Nature being mean and they are tired of the cold weather, the snow and the winter weather. You have to hand it to these two, when they get their minds set on something they stick with it. I'm just glad it's not reassembling the blowing alley in the hallway.

I think I am going to drop a little hint that Punxatawney Phil is going to make his prediction on Monday Morning. Kiwi did ask me if I wanted him to make the rodent disappear. He said he knows this Groundhog in Pittsburgh, if we need any assistance.

So what is on our agenda for the day? Michelle is going to do the running around and grocery shopping, like she does every week. My pokey ass slows her down so she goes and does it and gets it done. She is an absolutely amazing woman, I would be lost without her. As would Kiwi and Peanut, who both adore their Mommy.

Other than that not too much of anything planned, I would have cut the grass through the ice and snow but Peanut and Kiwi are out there and I don't want to ruin their protest site...lol

Have yourselves a great day.

I Hate Snow Sunday

Here I sit on a cold and wintry Sunday Morning, Kiwi and Peanut are all excited because of all of that white stuff on the ground, but I do not care for it one little bit. Michelle likes snow, but I'm not sure if I have ever mentioned it here before, but I am not a big fan of snow. I actually Hate Snow, truth be told. It makes travel hazardous and dangerous, and I prefer to not see it or feel it. That's just me, though.

I did manage to get a good bit of my Goodbye 2025 blog written so far this weekend. It's a lot of fun reflecting on your past year when you write something each and every day. It's also good documentation and timelines of events that have been happening in my life, especially when you consider there have been well over 8,000 blog entries during my 21+ years of writing it.

I did manage to get my windshield wipers changed yesterday morning and I mailed out our Christmas Cards for the season. One of my wipers was almost torn off the blade Friday morning, so I decided that I should get it changed before the snow and the long week coming up for me.

Have yourself a good day, hopefully no one has to travel anywhere.

Monday

All good things must come to an end, and once again that includes the frigid weekend that we just had. There is hope however on the horizon as Phil is a couple of days away from declaring that Spring is right around the corner.

It is supposed to be a little bit warmer this week, but temps are supposed to drop down into the single digits again on Saturday. I can't speak for anyone else, but I am ready to get outside and to start doing some fieldwork. I'm tired of being stuck inside and basically still quarantining.

Workwise it should be a similar schedule for both Michelle and me this week. I'm still doing contracting for Duquense Light in GIS, which I have to say that I love. Michelle is also up for a typical work week, so it is going to be a rather rinse repeat kind of week for the both of us.

I tried calling my brother Gary as I have not heard anything from him in a few weeks. I did talk to Val to see if she had heard from him either. I'm hoping everything is OK and he's just busy as I have just been missing him while he has been busy. Val said she was going to reach out to him again last night.

Have yourselves a start to a great week, let's go make this a better rock to live on.

Monday

Here we go yet once again, it's time to take our collective noses and stick them back onto that grindstone and start doing what we do for a living to start another work week. It is time to cease all the fun and get back to making this a better world for each of us to live in.

I hope everyone had a good weekend, I know I'm not too fond of the white stuff that has been falling from the sky the last couple of days, but it is what it is. Not sure if I have ever mentioned it here before, but I hate snow. Peanut just told me that she hares snow as well, but she loves catnip-flavored cat treats. I'm not sure what this has to do with Mondays or my hatred of snow, but she feels she just needed to get that out for everyone who might be thinking of buying her a Christmas Present.

It's going to be another busy week for me, I'm working both jobs today as so get some Monday visits to my Morgantown segment. It's day 15 in a row for me, I put in 61 billable hours last week, you figure that is averaging almost 9 hours a day every day. I'm starting to get a little antsy, but I found out that I am in fact off from both jobs on Thanksgiving I think, although I wouldn't mind doing GIS work that day as that is done from home.

I hope everyone has a great week this week. Make the most of it and do what you do to make this a better rock to live on.

Tuesday's Tidbits

* Monday is now behind us all and today is a double job kind of day for me, goos reason to do a tidbits.

* It has been 21,165 days since I was born, that is 21 years using my new and improved 991 day Calender. I prefer my calendar as it is the best calendar and it is variable.

* It has been 6,399 days since I graduated from WVU with a Degree in Geography. I'm so happy to be going back to work in my field. I love GIS.

* 4,983 days ago Michelle and I had our first date together, Pizza Hut and 10,000 BC, would you believe Michelle still talked to me after that movie choice. The movie was in fact that bad.

* 4,205 days ago I proposed to Michelle, she was expecting it as we had already bought the engagement ring and it was sitting in the safe.

* It was 3,748 days ago in front of our closest friends and family, Michelle and I became husband and wife at the Marilla Center, then we feasted like Kings and Queens. It was a memorable day.

* I have now lived 1,370 days longer than my Dad did and I'm still going strong. I wish this was one bullet point that I didn't have to do. A few more months and I'll start tracking how much longer I lived than my oldest sibling.

* I have 3,760 days to go until I retire, give or take a few hundred days here or there, but I love doing what I do.

* The next Backyard Brawl where we beat Pitt's ass in Football is only 306 days away. I still don't like Pitt.

* There are 270 more days to go until Michelle and I celebrate our Eleventh Wedding Anniversary together. =)

* There are only 132 days until the start of Spring 2022. My favorite season of the year rolls around again.

* There are 92 days until Michelle and I head to Pittsburgh to see Reba in concert. The Concert was supposed to be this August (actually it was supposed to be in March of last year) and they have moved it until the middle of February next year. So basically I bought tickets for a concert in 2022 in 2019.

* 83 more days until Phil steps to center stage again for Groundhogs Day, he has ended his winter vacation and can once again be seen in the back yard eating the Corn Michelle puts out.

*53 more days to go until my Goodbye 2021 Blog is posted, it's been eventful.

* There are 44 more shopping days left until Christmas 2021.

* The next Anniversary of my 21st Birthday will be in 22 more days. Maybe I should make that 387 days.

* I have written 6,589 blogs in the now 17 years since I started blogging. Seems like it was just yesterday that I started all of this.

* Drone still needs to be sent out for repairs, not a big priority at this time.

* Double kind of job day for me today, working from home then heading out and doing some fieldwork this afternoon.

* WVU is on the road this weekend at Kansas State. We're underdogs in this game as well, the way we played last week I'm not surprised.

* WVU Basketball begins their 2021-2 season this evening, I'll be out working so I may not get a whole lot done.

* I'm Not sure if I have ever mentioned to anyone ever before, or if I have even said anything on this blog about it, but I Hate Snow.

* Order some Pampered Chef stuff to help Michelle's Party. She's keeping it open, and I received the stuff I ordered over the weekend.

* Have yourselves a great day.

* Hi ho hi ho

Tuesday's Tidbits

* Monday completed and in our rearview, that means that it is Tuesday and time for tidbits. I hope all hunters made it home safe and bagged their trophies.

* It has been 20,827 days since I was born, that is 21 years using my new and improved 991 day Calender.

* It has been 6,043 days since I graduated from WVU with a Degree in Geography. I love my chosen profession and course of study.

* 4,644 days ago Michelle and I had our first date together, 10,000 BC and Pizza Hut.

* 3,868 days ago I proposed to Michelle, 4:00 in the morning in the back yard. Best decision I have ever made.

* It was 3,405 days ago in front of our closest friends and family, Michelle and I became husband and wife and then feasted with all of our guests.

* I have now lived 1,031 days longer than my Dad did and I'm still going strong.

* I have 4,074 days to go until I retire, give or take a few hundred days here or there.

* The next Backyard Brawl where we beat Pitt's ass in Football is only 638 days away. I think I started this countdown with about 2,500 days.

* The next Anniversary of my 21st Birthday will be in 365 more days.No birthday this year due to COVID, so in college football terms I'm redshirting this year.

* There are 248 days until Michelle and I head to Pittsburgh to see Reba in concert. It was postponed this March to July and now they are pushing the tour until next year. It'll be mine and Michelle's 10th wedding anniversary.

* There are 248 more days to go until Michelle and I celebrate our Tenth  Wedding Anniversary together. =)

* There are only 109 days until the start Spring 2021!!!!! My favorite season of the year.

* 63 more days until Phil steps to center stage again for Groundhogs Day. I haven't seen my friend for a couple of weeks, I wonder if he moved.

* 30 more days to go until my Goodbye 2020 Blog is posted, this should be an interesting one. I should start formatting that soon. With the new backend, it may take me a little longer than usual.

* There are 24 more shopping days left until Christmas 2020.

* I have written 6,232 blogs in the now 16+ years since I started blogging.

* No Drone flights this weekend, but that has pretty much been my recurring theme this year with that. I have yet to fly this year.

* I watched a really good movie yesterday, one of my all-time favorites in Something the Lord Made. Probably one reason I hold John's Hopkins University in such high regard.

* I have been updating a number of family graves on Find A Grave in the past couple of weeks. I feel it is my contribution to the next generation to answer questions about people they didn't know.

* They are actually calling for snow today, it has spit snow before but we haven't had any accumulation yet. Maybe today will be different. Heck, it might be snowing when this posts.

* Not sure if I have ever mentioned it before on my blog, but I Hate Snow. Don't even like it a little bit.

* The Pittsburgh Steelers at 10-0 are the only undefeated team left in the NFL. Hopefully we can play our scheduled game with the Ravens this evening that was supposed to have been played last Thursday.

* Corona Virus, you can still track it as it is now starting to pick up steam and the numbers are increasing.

* We're now Yellow for COVID for Monongalia County, track the state stats HERE

* I'm STILL converting some old VHS tapes to Digital Format for Trish. I really need to get back on this as I am such a procrastinator.

* Have yourselves a great day.

Photo Flashback Thursday

Once a week I like to take a little bit of time out, time to look at some of the 30,000+ images that I have either captured with a Camera, Scanned or just simply stolen off the internet. Little lost moments in time that I post up and relive tight here for everyone while I try to recall the moments around that image. Sometimes it's pretty easy to find that image and sometimes it's a challenge, although one thing it always is is a whole lot of fun for me.

I figure that since we are in the dog days of summer, that I would take a little time out from all the heat to discuss something that I absolutely hate. Despite us being in a little bit of a heat wave, I would just like to take this time to remind everyone that I Hate Snow. Yes this picture from 10 years ago in the back yard looks beautiful, but I just hate that dreaded white stuff being all over the place and for it to be cold.

I'm a warm weather kind of guy, so are my cats and my bird Kiwi who loves this summer time stuff as she can look at something other than the same four walls and interact with real birds rather than the ones she can't see playing on the Amazon Echo Dot in the bedroom.

Have yourselves a great day.

Sunday

Here I sit way too early in the morning, I'm up for a trip to the restroom and am going to lay my big butt back down after I write this blog. While I am here though I will attempt to put together a coherent blog while I keep my eyes propped open.

Jim and Chris had a great auction yesterday, there were well over 100 people there last night seeking deals and quite a few of them found them. I would have called this the tool and candle auction, as he had plenty of each for sale. I ended up buying 3 boxes of 9mm practice ammo. Got a real good deal on 150 rounds and I jumped on it. Someone at the auction tried to say that 9MM Luger ammo might not fire in a regular 9mm, that statement is just simply false. Why do I refer to it as practice ammo, Full Metal Jacket ammunition is much cheaper to shoot, I use them to practice but my firearms are all loaded with hollow points and RIP rounds for self defense.

We're going to get a good start for the day, they are calling for as much as 9" of snow hitting Morgantown today and into tomorrow morning. It is best to just be prepared and we intend on beating the heavy snow that is going to blanket and cripple the area over the next 24 hours. We're going to make a big batch of Zuppa Toscana for dinner this evening, but other than that it is going to be a relaxing day.

Have yourselves a great day and remember to have your essentials in case you get snowed in. Oh by the way, I Hate Snow.

Saturday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit later in the morning, Michelle went to bed after me and woke up before me so I'm a bit of a slacker today so far. We're up and she's drinking a cup of coffee and I'm trying to collect my thoughts on the day ahead.

I have to start out this blog by mentioning the passing of a long time friend and softball team mate. "Big Ed" Hetrick I found out yesterday morning had moved on to the Softball team upstairs and I'll say they got themselves a great guy. Ed and I had played on the Heiskell and King teams, the Sports Page Teams and he was even a member of the Recourse Teams. A big hearted guy who everyone seemed to gravitate to, he will be missed.

Today Michelle is going to Babysit Luke for a few hours as everyone seems to be working. I have to go out on the field for RTI both today and tomorrow and will be starting my other segment today. I've made two + passes through the segment close to here, now it's tome to start on the other one so that is will be my weekend.

Try to stay warm today as we are calling for snow later this afternoon and this evening, my wife loves snow where I on the other hand rarely express my feelings about the stuff especially on this blog.

Hi ho hi ho

Tuesday's Tidbits

* Monday is once again in the rear view mirrors and we are looking at a long Tuesday, can't think of a better reason to do a tidbits.

* It has been 19,855 days since my reported birth, by my calculation and using my patented 938 day calendar, that should make me 21 years old by my calculations or 54 by these old antiquated calender's. This same calendar calculated my sister Terri's age to be 19.

* It has been 5,077 days since I graduated from WVU fulfilling a lifelong dream that I had had.

* 3,678 days ago Michelle and I went out for our very first date, we're still together despite a horrible movie choice.

* 2,902 days ago I proposed to Michelle. I made her wait until 4:00 in the Morning (and 777 days), but it was well worth it.

* It was 2,439 days ago in front of our closest friends and family that Michelle and I poured sand into a vial and said "I Do" and we were.

* I am now 64 days older than my Dad when he passed, it brings a lot of things into perspective.

* I have 4,983 days to go until I retire, give or take a few hundred days here or there, or at least start doing something else with my life other than working. Maybe I'll fly some drones.

* The next Backyard brawl where we beat Pitt's ass in Football is only 1,621 days away. I'm ready, I have always hated Pitt.

* 298 more days until Phil tells me that we are going to have an early Spring in 2019, he's lied this year as well, he can lie to me then as well.

* 265 more days to go until my Goodbye 2018 Blog is posted, nice round number to go until the end of the year.

* There are 259 more shopping days left until Christmas, I would rather not continue winter until then. Come on warm weather.

* My next Anniversary of my 21st Birthday will be in 235 more days. I think this will be the 34th anniversary?

* There are 125 more days to go until Michelle and I celebrate our Seventh Wedding Anniversary. It's amazing how fast time flies when you get older.

* There are 107 days to go until MountainFest Starts, we already have our tickets and this will be our second year of attending. Alabama, Brett Michaels and Montgomery Gentry will be the featured acts throughout the weekend. Ticket's are now $50 each for the weekend, we bought ours just before Christmas for $40 each for the entire weekend and before all acts were named.

* There are 88 more days until we go and see Jimmy in Pittsburgh again after him bypassing Pittsburgh last year. Still not hearing anything on Party buses.

* There are 72 more days to go until it's going to be Summertime officially, although you would never know it when we had snow this past weekend.

* I have written 5,211 blogs in what is now my 13 plus full years of being a Blogger and working towards 10,000. Only 4,789 more t go until I reach that Milestone.

* Nothing new on the Brother Search, but what else is new. It's been kind of dormant for a couple of years now after the brick wall was reached.

* No Drone flights this weekend, the weather and that geriatric wench Mother Nature were  a little less than cooperative with the weather.

* I think Michelle will be going to Jon and Laura's this weekend for Maddy's Birthday Party.

* RTI just launched a new NSDUH Website in case anyone is curious as to what I do when I talk about RTI.

* Have I ever mentioned I hate snow?

* This weeks Riddle: I have many teeth and sometimes they’re fine, First I’m by your head, then I’m down your spine. What am I? What am I?

* I'm STILL converting some old VHS tapes to Digital Format for Trish. I really need to get back on this as I am such a procrastinator.

* Have yourselves a great day.

* Hi ho hi ho

* OK, answer to riddle....A Comb

Tuesday's Tidbits

* Monday is once again in our rear view mirror, can't think of a better reason to replicate my Tuesday's Theme blog other than it is Tuesday.

* It has been 19,675 days since I first set foot on this planet, I'm thankful for each and every one of them. Using my unique and rotating 933 day Calendar, that makes me 21 years old. Layla and I talked about this this past weekend, I don't think she grasps the concept of a 933 day calendar.

* It has been 4,881 days since I graduated from West Virginia University, I have stayed the course and worked in my field of study since I graduated even though my job title is now Engineer.

* 3,482 days ago I asked Michelle out for dinner and to see the movie 10,000 BC, I could have went and seen Semi-Pro but I chose this stupid movie.

* 2,706 days ago I got down on one knee and proposed marriage to Michelle, about 4:00 in the morning, but she knew it was coming.

* It was 2,243 days ago in front of our closest friends and family, Michelle and I became Husband and Wife.

* I have 5,179 days to go until I retire, give or take a few hundred days or so here or there and depending on how I feel.

* The next Backyard brawl where we beat Pitt's ass is only 1,825 days away. Pitt is selling 50 yard line seats for less than the price of a Big Mac.

* There are 315 more days to go until Michelle and I celebrate our Seventh Wedding Anniversary.

* We have 175 more days to go until Spring 2018. Yes everyone loves the fall or the winter, bah humbug give me the tropical climate.

* 130 more days until Phil takes center stage again and pretends that a Groundhog is the worlds most listened to Weatherman.

* 97 more days to go until my Goodbye 2017 Blog is posted where I recount 2017 based on what I have written in my blog. Should be an interesting one this year to say the least.

* There are 90 more shopping days left until Christmas. WalMart has their Christmas Trees up already. That's OK, we already started buying Christmas decorations a few weeks ago in Amish Country.

* My next Anniversary of my 21st Birthday will be in 66 more days. If you use that antiquated 365 day calendar, this will be the 33rd Anniversary of it.

* We are 11 days away from Michelle and I going to the Springs Festival, if we make it up for that. We were just there this past weekend and I will be out working for the Festival.

* I have written 4,999 blogs in what is now my 13 full years of being a Blogger. I'm just one away from a Milestone post.

* Nothing new on the Brother Search that has been going on for a couple of years, but we've hit brick walls everywhere.

* Nothing new on the Hall Family Tree, even though there are some updates and additions that do need to be made.

* Spoke with Gary over the weekend, he seems to be doing well. He's staying the course and is thinking about becoming a preacher.

* Spoke with Pam over the weekend, George is recovering. Still sore, but making progress. She said they all went to Fusion for Calvin's Birthday.

* WVU is off this coming week for Football. Should be a quiet weekend around town.

* We will be starting another quarter for RTI Sunday. I've got all my preparation done to start the quarter, just waiting for Sunday to officially start another quarter.

* With all the controversy this past weekend surrounding the NFL and the National Anthem and seeing so many people making empty claims of boycotting it while making multiple posts on the internet, I just want to point out we are going to the Steelers vs Jaguars game the weekend after this one. First time I will be going to a Steelers game without sideline passes...lol

* Mohigans lost, Steelers lost and WVU's defense was exposed despite winning. Not the greatest of sports weekends.

* I'm still converting some old VHS tapes to Digital Format for Trish. I'm a slacker but I'll get them done. I'm about halfway there. When her dad made the tapes, he didn't waste any tape, he used up the whole two hours and did it at higher definition.

* I'm going to put this out there and not sure if I have ever mentioned it before. I Hate Snow. Not a little bit, a lot.

* Have yourselves a great day and do something to change the world.

* Hi ho hi ho

Sunday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit yet once again in a quiet household, I am surprisingly the first one to recover from that losing battle with the dreaded Sandman last night. I'm up early collecting my thoughts on the day and surfing around the net.

Michelle saw one of these bugs yesterday and being that it was all black is not a good sign. The superstition is the amount of black indicates what kind of a winter you are going to have. If it holds true we are in for a very bad winter, so my advice is smash this little buy and deny ever seeing it. I know we are in the middle of a hot streak with the weather, but I will still re-iterate that I Hate Snow and I hate it a lot.

Not planning on working today but am anticipating a big week coming up. I did manage to have a pretty good day yesterday, so I'll take today off and hit it hard tomorrow again.

Our Sunday is going to be back to normal, grocery shopping and laundry are on today's agenda. We're not planning on doing anything out of the ordinary today other than play with our k9 visitor house guests possibly.

Have yourselves a great day today.

Tuesday's Tidbits

* The first Daylight Savings time Monday has now passed, and I was one of those people who slept in because I don't use an alarm clock. Time for a Tidbits.

* I know you guys have missed this count, it has been 19,462 wonderful days since my birth, I'm lucky each week that that number increases.

* There have been 4,685 days that have gone by since I Graduated from WVU, second best decision I have ever made in my life.

* It was 3,286 days ago that Michelle and I went out on our very first date together, it was the movie 10,000 BC. Tomorrow will be the 9 year anniversary of  that first date.

* It has been 2,510 days since I proposed marriage to my wonderful wife, I enjoy each and every day that I get to spend with her, even if it is for only a few minutes.

* We are in day 2,047 of Marriage, we're still going strong, she is my everything.

* I have about 5,375 or so days to go until my retirement giving the current rules for retirement give or take a few hundred here or there and depending on how I feel.

* There are only 2,013 days to go until the Backyard Brawl in football takes the field once again. It's getting closer bit by bit.

* My buddy Phil the Groundhog takes center stage in 325 more days when he forecasts the weather on Ground Hogs Day. I think Mother Nature however is inserting her will as we speak.

* I have 292 more days to go until my Goodbye 2017 blog is written. That is the blog that I do at the end of the year that is based upon what I write here on this blog.

* There are 286 more shopping days left to go until Christmas 2017, never too early to start planning.

* There are but a mere 262 more days to go until I celebrate yet another anniversary of my 21st Birthday.

* There are 207 more days to go until we once again attend the Springs Festival, weather permitting of course.

* Our next cruise is 180 days away, hopefully all goes better than planned unlike last year when we missed a port.

* There are only 145 more days to go until Michelle and I celebrate our Sixth Wedding Anniversary together. I am the luckiest man in the world, but I think I've expressed that more than once here.

* In 128 more days Michelle and I will be attending WV Mountainfest. Already have our tickets for this years events.

* There are 110 more days to go until our 2017 Friends and Family Picnic.

* There are 102 more days to go until Calvin and Jeanetta's Wedding next June, she has put together this very informative website for everyone to use. I need to start thinking about what hotel we will be staying in.

* My favorite season of the year is a mere 6 days away when Spring 2017 finally arrives. I'm ready for the warm weather, the birds a singing and and the smells of springtime.

* This is my 4,789th blog that I have written for George's Journal in the now 12+ years that I have been writing it. One has to question sometimes if the redundancy is starting to wear on me.

* No work yest this year on the Hall Family Tree, I have been slacking on keeping up with it this year I will readily admit. I haven't done any work to it this fall.

* Once again nothing new on the brother search, the DNA tests returned a few second cousins and beyond, but nothing close to a brother. I'm beginning to give up any sense of hope that he is alive or if he is that he is looking.

* Still no baby yet on the Giraffe Cam, I know Michelle has been eagerly awaiting its arrival. It's been a couple of weeks now since she started watching it and still no baby. There are 40,000 people streaming that camera at any time and they have raised over $50,000 for April's care from the cam.

* With longer days now upon us, now it may be time to start hitting the trails and get some of this excess weight off for the Spring ans Summer. I tend to hibernate and eat too many carbs in the winter months.

* The NCAA Basketball tournament starts this week. WVU is a #4 seed and will take on Bucknell on Thursday in their first round game.

* Have I ever mentioned that I hate snow?

* Have yourselves a great day and make the very most of it.

* Hi ho hi ho

Tudsday's Tidbits

* Well the Super Bowl is over with and we're still talking about it, time for a tidbits.

* I know you guys have missed this count, it has been 19,434 wonderful days since my birth. Still going strong looking ahead and still hating snow.

* There have been 4,657 days that have gone by since I Graduated from WVU, it's amazing how quickly time goes by and I still hate snow.

* It was 3,258 days ago that Michelle and I went out on our very first date together, she's still around so I must be doing something right for the first time.

* It has been 2,482  days since I proposed marriage to my wonderful wife, I enjoy each and every day that I get to spend with her, even if it is for only a few minutes.

* We are in day 2,019 of Marriage, we're still going strong, I love her with all of my heart.

* I have about 5,403 or so days to go until my retirement giving the current rules for retirement give or take a few hundred here or there and depending on how I feel.

* There are only 2,041 days to go until the Backyard Brawl in football takes the field once again. I was hoping for a WVU Pitt Bowl matchup, but I'm patient.

* My buddy Phil the Groundhog takes center stage in 353 more days when he forecasts the weather on Ground Hogs Day. Damn rat did not do me any favors this year.

* I have 320 more days to go until my Goodbye 2017 blog is written, that is my annual recall the year by what is posted in my blog blog.

* There are 314 more shopping days left to go until Christmas 2017, it may be a little early but hey, someone has to do the countdown.

* There are but a mere 290 more days to go until I celebrate yet another anniversary of my 21st Birthday.

* There are 235 more days to go until we once again attend the Springs Festival, I'm itching to go up there again soon if not to the other Amish Country.

* Our next cruise is 208 days away, hopefully all goes better than planned unlike last year when we missed a port.

* There are only 173 more days to go until Michelle and I celebrate our Sixth Wedding Anniversary together. I am the luckiest man in the world.

* In 156 more days Michelle and I will be attending WV Mountainfest. Already have our tickets for this years events.

* There are 138 more days to go until our 2017 Friends and Family Picnic.

* In 26 more days, we will set the clocks ahead an hour as the start of Daylight Savings time will be upon us. Come on Spring.

* This is my 4,761st blog that I have written for George's Journal in the now 12+ years that I have been writing it. One has to question sometimes if the redundancy is starting to wear on me.

* No work yest this year on the Hall Family Tree, I have been slacking on keeping up with it this year I will readily admit.

* Once again nothing new on the brother search, the DNA tests returned a few second cousins and beyond, but nothing close to a brother. I'm beginning to give up any sense of hope that he is alive or if he is that he is looking.

* I have gotten addicted to a simple game on the internet, Slither.io was an app I started playing when Michelle was in the hospital to pass the time away. I find myself still playing it. A few weeks in and this is still pretty addictive.

* I may be traveling to Paw Paw this weekend, I still haven't hear back on anything as of yet.

* Have I ever mentioned before that I Hate Snow!!!!!....A Lot.

* I Hate Snow

Big Ole Hairy Friday

Yes it is once again that time of the week that we all look foreword to, when we can take time to cease the labors for the week and take a little bit of needed time out to enjoy the fruits of those labors. It is once again the dawn of another weekend.

Friday has to be my favorite day of the work week, it's the day that we are most cheerful and the most Happy. There's just something to knowing that you don't have to wake up as early tomorrow as you do during the work week.

I got a chance to talk to my Brother Gary yesterday. He's doing great and said he has enough work to last him until the end of the year, but the market out there is growing and I really think he is in the right mindset to conquer it with his skills and the drive that he is showing right now. He's wanting to get together with everyone in the very near future, maybe grab a pizza some place and sit down and BS. He does sound good and sounds very positive with a positive outlook.

Mountainfest has announced their acts for the 2017 season. Hank Williams Jr and George Thorogood will be the featured acts. Hank's been to Morgantown many times previously and I have seen George Thorogood at the Feaster Center in Fairmont, loudest concert I have ever been to and I think my ears are still ringing from that concert 30 years ago...lol. Something tells me I'll be going this year, probably the fact that I already bought our tickets!

I'm not sure if I have ever expressed how I feel about a certain weather phenomenon previously on my blog, but just in case no one knows my viewpoint on the subject, I hate Snow.

Have yourselves a great day and melt this snow away.

Saturday

Here I sit yet once again on a quiet Saturday Morning, Hayley and Josh are up in their room and I'm up collecting my thoughts for the day, finding Sammy and surfing the net. Something or another is playing on the Television in the background, but I'm not really paying attention to whatever it is.

Due to us traveling back to Ohio tomorrow, we will be doing our Sunday chores and a little Christmas shopping today. It'll start off this morning as we already have our menu planned out for the week as we head to the grocery store to do the weeks shopping. Hopefully I can get some kind of Artisan Bread at Phoenix Bakery as the bread I usually get is not scheduled for today.

It is a bit chilly out this early morning, probably why Sammy is hiding in a stocking above the fireplace that is going. 24° is just a bit colder than I like, heck 70° is colder than I like, but then again I'm an "I Hate Snow" kind of guy and that includes the cold weather that comes with it.

Have yourselves a great day today and make the very most of it.

Tuesday's Tidbits

* This is where I would say we have that dreaded Monday past us, but my days just seem to be running together right now but I will acknowledge that it is Tuesday and I'm going to do another fact filled and educational tidbits.

* I know you guys have missed this count, it has been 19,350 wonderful days since my birth. Depending on if you use the traditional 365 day or the new and improved 905 day calendar to determine my age, let me just help everyone by stating that I am still 21.

* There have been 4,573 days that have gone by since I Graduated from WVU, that in itself seems like yesterday and it has been 12 years in itself. Best career decision that I ever made.

* It was 3,174 days ago that Michelle and I went out on our very first date together, both of our lives have changed significantly for the better since that fateful night despite the movie being really bad. I do not recommend 10,000 BC as a must see movie...lol

* It has been 2,398 days since I proposed marriage to my wonderful wife, I enjoy each and every day that I get to spend with her, even if it is for only a few minutes.

* We are in day 1,935 of Marital bliss and still going strong, I am a very fortunate man to have such a wonderful woman in my life.

* I have about 5,487 or so days to go until my retirement, give or take a few hundred here or there and depending on how I feel.

* There are only 2,125 days to go until the Backyard Brawl in football takes the field once again. WVU and Pitt have a few Basketball games scheduled in the future, but it is Football where we want to kick their asses. =) Bring it on boys.

* There are 319 more days to go until we once again attend the Springs Festival.

* Our next cruise is 292 days away. We both really like the cruise we take and the ports of call that we visit, hence why we keep repeating this same cruise. When you find something you like, why change it.

* There are 214 more days to go until Calvin and Jeanetta's Wedding next June, she has put together this very informative website for everyone to use.
