Saturday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit once again in a quiet household, Kiwi is still sleeping and is not awake, and neither are Sophie or Peanut. So it's just me up during these morning hours. So I will attempt to do the difficult task of writing this blog all alone without any co-authors.

I have officially now turned down the offer to Contract for Dominion Energy. It was a month-long process, drug screen, two background searches and a number of other investigations on me to even be considered, but ultimately I have chosen to stay with Duquense Light and I made it official yesterday.

Today I plan on working for RTI (what else is new), I'll be out doing fieldwork today and tomorrow and trying to catch some of these students before they leave for the summer.

Michelle and Chris are going to take their Mom out to dinner this evening at the Church, there is some kind of a ladies' dinner there that they do every so often and they are going to break Suzanne out for a few hours.

Other than that, just watching the latest rounds of the NFL draft and figuring out what I want to do for dinner are my agenda.

Have a great day.

Big Ole Hairy Friday

Yes, it is once again that time of the week that we all look forward to when we can take time to cease the labors for the week and take a little bit of needed time out to enjoy the fruits of those labors. It is once again the dawn of another weekend and a Big Ole Hairy Friday.

Today is the last regular day of classes for students at WVU. Finals start on Monday and culminate next Friday, so by next Saturday they will basically all be gone, or at least most of them. Traffic will be much more manageable to get around town and there will be a lot less people in town as most of the students will be heading home for the Summer.

What are my plans for this weekend, try to find a few of those students while working for RTI and try to get them to answer the door then try to convince them to waste an hour of time for $30 rather than studying for finals. Yes it is going to be challenging to say the very least. So I will be busy all weekend trying to get people with bigger priorities at that time to stop what they are doing.

Michelle and Chris are going to take their Mom to some kind of a Women's dinner at the church. Trying to get her out and about a little bit.

Have yourselves a great day

Photo Flashback Thursday

Once a week I like to take a little bit of time out, time to look at some of the 30,000+ photos that I have stored on my computer. Little lost moments in time that I either captured with a lens, scanned, or just stole from someplace on the internet. I like to find just one and post it up and recall or relive the picture to the best of my ability. Sometimes this is a pretty easy task and sometimes it's not that easy, one thing it has always been a whole lot of fun.

This weeks pic was from the early picnic at my 35th High School Reunion back in 2015. It was a small group of us that headed to the overlook at Coopers Rock after having a picnic earlier in the day at one of the Pavilions. The other one was that evening when we all got together at Whitetail.

No my Graduating class is not that small, there were over 400 of us there for Commencement, these are just the ones that showed up for the 35th.

I think they have decided to do our 40th this year as a part of Quadrad that will be taking place July 30th to raise money for WVU.

Have yourselves a great day

Tuesday's Tidbits

* Monday is once again behind us and we have a pretty good start to the week,I'm hoping the good weather will remain.

* Michelle's Mom is doing well still.

* It has been 21,326 days since I was born, that is 21 years using my new,  new and improved 1,000 day Calender. It's better than the 991-day calendar as it gives you a nice round number to work with.

* It has been 6,566 days since I graduated from WVU with a Degree in Geography. Still love what I do and I guess that makes a big difference. Is it really going on 18 years since I Graduated?

* 5,151 days ago Michelle and I had our first date together, the pizza hut is gone, the movie was horrible, but we're still together.

* 4,3673 days ago I proposed to Michelle, she was expecting it as we had already bought the engagement ring and it was sitting in the safe.

* It was 3,916 days ago in front of our closest friends and family, for the most part, Michelle and I became husband and wife at the Marilla Center, we poured sand into a vase said our I do's and we were hitched.

* I have now lived 1,538 days longer than my Dad did and I'm still going strong.

* My older Brother Jonathan lived 21,266 days, I've now outlived him by 61 days making me Senior Supreme Sibling once again!!!

* I have 3,620 days to go until I retire, give or take a few hundred days here or there, but I love doing what I do. Boy is that number dwindling.

* 296 more days until Phil steps to center stage again for Groundhogs Day, I think he and the family have moved back home in the backyard.

* 250 more days to go until my Goodbye 2022 Blog is posted, it's been eventful. I have it started.

* There are 244 more shopping days left until Christmas 2022.

* The next Anniversary of my 21st Birthday will be in 224 more days.

* The next Backyard Brawl where we beat Pitt's ass in Football is only 118 days away. I am so ready for this game, we kicking Pitts Butt!!!

* There are 102 more days to go until Michelle and I celebrate our Eleventh Wedding Anniversary together. =)

* 90 Days until Michelle and I are in Pittsburgh to see Jimmy Buffett!!!!!

* There are only 56 days until the official start of Summer.

* I have written 6,765 blogs in the now 17 1/2 years since I started blogging. Seems like it was just yesterday that I started all of this.

* Older Drone still needs to be sent out for repairs, not a big priority at this time.

* No drone flights over the weekend, weather was nice, I'm just a litle run down and didn't get the opportunity.

* I didn't win a thing at the Spring Bash, I should have had Amy buy my tickets for me.

* We do need to do a Memorial Day picnic, just sayin.... Does anyone else have any input or is it falling on deaf ears?

* I'm working 10 hour days again this week for Duquense Light, money was too much to pass up.

* Have yourselves a great day.

* Hi ho hi ho day 9 in a row.

Monday

All good things must come to an end, which does include those fun-filled days that many of you refer to as weekends. Now it is time to take our collective noses and stick them back onto the grindstone for another fun-filled week of doing exactly what it is that we do for a living.

I'm once again working Overtime this week and may be for some time, it does make it nice on Payday if I do have to say so myself. I don't mind at all, I'm a little used to it by now, plus I'm at home.

Speaking of working from home, I was supposed to start with Dominion Energy today, this was the day I was to report to the office for the first time and commute back and forth to Bridgeport. I have not told them yet, but even after going through two background searches, drug tests, credit check, etc and being offered the job, I'm going to tell them thank you but no thank you. When Consult USA was contacted about my background they contacted me and asked if I was leaving and what it would take for me to stay. They reached out to Duquense Light and got a quick answer that they like me and would like to extend me. This could very well last as long as the Dominion Energy job before it is all said and done. Both opportunities are something I would have jumped on last year, now it's a matter of choosing only one of them.

Michelle, Chris and Jim all took their Mom back home yesterday for a visit, it was Tom's Birthday at the nursing home so they took Suzie up to see Tom and spend some time together. It was a good day.

Have yourselves a great day and the start of a greater week.

Sunday

Here me and the animals sit yet once again all by our lonesome out here, Kiwi is trying to entertain us by singing some Johnny Cash but I don't think his voice is quite deep enough. I'll give him full credit for trying.

I'm out in the field once again today for RTI, I worked yesterday but with so much going on around town, it was pretty much fruitless to expect anything productive to get done. I'll try it again today, maybe I'll have some better luck.

Michelle and Chris are talking about picking up their Mom and taking her back home to visit Tom for his Birthday, they have not seen each other for a couple of months so who knows how this will turn out. Michelle had a rough night with her on Friday evening and it was nearly midnight before she ever got home. Long night was an understatement.

Have yourselves a great day, and no I didn't win anything for the Grand Bash. I told Michelle when we bought our ticket it was just a donation to WVU Children's Hospital.

Have yourselves a great day.

Saturday Morning Ramblings

Here Kiwi (who gets top billing this week), Sophie, Peanut and I sit in a quiet household. We're all sitting up and discussing whether James Earl Jones or Morgan Freeman has the better voice to do voiceovers for dramatic movies. Kiwi and I argue it's James Earl Jones as he is also the voice of Darth Vader, and Sophie and Peanut insist that it it Morgan Freeman because of his work with Shawshank Redemption. The debate continues.

It's going to be a busy day in Morgantown, The WVU Football Spring game is at 1:00 this afternoon, that will give everyone a chance to see how the 2022 Mountaineers are shaping up. I have a funny feeling that our starting Quarterback isn't here yet as JT Daniels won't be here until the summer or fall. He was Georgia's starting QB last year and one of the early favorites for the Heisman Trophy, he is transferring here but he's still finishing up his undergrad at Georgia. Should be a great game, one I am looking forward to as I always do.

The All American Grand Bash will be held today at Mylan Park. I had a notion to buy a ticket, as proceeds go to WVU Children's Hospital and all the prizes would be worth winning. I think they are giving away 6 cars today as well as a number of other prizes. So what did my notion get me? My ticket. Michelle said I should have given Amy the money and had her buy it...lol

Traffic should be pretty busy around town, so please use a little extra caution when driving around this side of town today as there are some big events taking place.

I'm doing fieldwork for RTI today, I'm going to try to get an early start as I have a dormitory I have to basically closeout and finalize. That alone may take me a couple of hours just doing that believe it or not as it is going to be time-consuming.

Have yourselves a great day.

Let's start off by saying that this would have been my last day at Duquense Light, this was when I was planning on leaving and returning my equipment as I was taking a job in Bridgeport that is supposed to start on Monday. Did my drug test, did my background search, and all that was involved with that long process, the only problem is they contacted my current employer to verify my employment. Not a problem, but ConsultUSA didn't know anything about it yet as nothing was finalized. Well ConsultUSA contacted me and asked me about it and I explained it was a timing and length of contract issue. She said to give her a day and they contacted Duquense Light about the possibility of me leaving. Well they extended me until the end of the year with the possibility of this going on into 2023 (they don't have the 2023 budget yet). That made me re-evaluate whether I was going to stay with ConsultUSA working for Duquense Light or if I would switch positions to move onto Dominion Energy. Electric vs Gas, it's a big decision and I'm thankful to have the options that I do. It's not official yet, but I think I am going to stay in my current position. It allows me to work from home as opposed to a 45 minute commute each way every day.

Other than that, how has everyone's week been going? Michelle has been very busy spending alternating evenings with her Mom and Chris is doing the other nights. She's a little run down from it, but let me tell you my wife and her sister are both a couple of amazing women.

Have yourselves a great day

The two girls in this picture are actually my own Mom and her sister Bonita. Years ago my Grandfather was stationed in Hawaii, I'm thinking mom told me the late 1940's early 1950's was when they lived there.

When Bonita came on for a visit in the '90's, as I recall we met Bonita at the gate (You could back then) and we used either this picture or one similar to it to welcome her home for the first time in years.

Monday

Easter is over with and so is my day off, now it's time to start a new streak as we all take our collective noses and stick them onto that grindstone for another fun-filled week of doing what we do for a living to make this a better rock to live on.

For those of you who haven't done your taxes yet, today is the day you need to have them at least postmarked by. It's usually April 15th, but since it fell on a Good Friday they extended it until today. I think it would be safe to assume anyone getting a refund has already filed theirs some time ago. It's when you owe is when you procrastinate. I sent our tax return in just a couple of weeks ago since we always somehow owe the state a chunk of change.

Michelle did pick up her Mom yesterday and took her to Church with her sister Chris and I think Dani is in as well. She also made an easter dinner here and took some up to her Mom to eat after she dropped her off. She wanted 2 deviled eggs, that's 4 halves ass she told Michelle as part of the meal she wanted. She got them as well as home made mashed potatoes, bread, Ham and Corn.

Looking ahead it's once again going to be a busy week for me as we will continue to work 10 hours a day, at least until I officially resign my position with Duquense Light after my official start date is set with Dominion Energy.

Have yourselves a great day.

Easter Sunday

Here Kiwi, Peanut, Sophie and I sit in a quiet household, we're up BSing about what is going on in the world. Kiwi is quite Happy that WVU signed the Quarterback who was the starter for last years National Champions and was a Heisman Trophy Favorite at the start of the year, Sophie is content with our new kicker and Peanut says we need to get some Defensive Backs. My animals know WVU Football.

It is Easter Sunday, the most religious day to those of the Christian faith. That and the Easter Bunny can take a break from distributing all the Easter baskets every year. At least Santa has 8, 9 if you count Rudolph to help him out and EB flies solo.

I am off today, I'm not going out on Easter and Michelle and I have all of our Sunday morning chores completed already, no grocery store visits for us today, if they are even open. We're going to do a small dinner here and she is going to take a plate up to her Mom.

Michelle took Lucy to the vet yesterday and got her her booster shot. Lucy is good to go now with everything taken care of including the vet visits and being groomed. Michelle took her over yesterday to see her Mom for a visit before taking her back home to my Mom's. That dog is getting pampered and makes all kinds of friends.

So what is on my agenda for today? I'm going to lay back down and sleep in. Maybe watch a few movies and just recharge the batteries.

Have yourselves a great day and Happy Easter.

Saturday Morning Rambling

Here I sit on a quiet Saturday Morning, Kiwi and I are up chatting about our days. He said he is going to write a novel today, he's going to call it "Would a one-legged Conure swim in a Circle". Keeps insisting he wants to go to Hawaii to do research for it.

Me I've got a busy day ahead of me. Laundromat, then going out and doing some work for RTI, then doing our weekly grocery shopping because tomorrow is Easter Sunday and most of the grocery stores are probably going to be closed. Michelle is going to pick Lucy up so she can get her second booster shot today and hopefully the new smaller harness that I ordered for her will have arrived so she can put it on her.

Yep it's going to be a busy day, not to mention what Michelle may have to do with her Mom. They are talking about moving her to the Fairmont facility, so that's going to add to the headache of traveling down there to see her as opposed to right down the road.

Have yourselves a great day.

Hi ho hi ho it's day 13 in a row and the end of the streak.

Big Ole Hairy Good Friday

Yes, it is once again that time of the week that we all look forward to when we can take time to cease the labors for the week and take a little bit of needed time out to enjoy the fruits of those labors. It is once again the dawn of another weekend and a Big Ole Hairy Friday.

It is Good Friday, the start of Easter Weekend culminating on Easter Sunday. I'm working today as is Michelle, but many of the people I work with are taking the day off, but that's not on my agenda as we've been working 10's and today is time and a half all day.

An update on Michelle's Mom, she is at the old Madison House at the end of Bakers Ridge Road, she ended her stay with encompass earlier this week and is now in a longer-term care facility. It is where she will get the best care and rehabilitative care, plus I think she is much happier in a non-hospital type of setting. They have all kinds of crafts and things to do there to keep her busy.

Have yourselves a great day.

I think this picture goes back to 2003 to be honest with you. Looking at the shirt this was the old Recourse Team from back in the day, and let me tell you we had the talent to win it all but didn't.

Standing beside me in the purple is Trish, talking to Terry Lake who is now deceased and Bryan Riley to her left. We were sponsored by Recourse for two seasons, and I think this is the second season with this group.

We had some pretty talented players including future Major League Pitcher Josh Judy and the guy up top sitting down we really thought we were going to lose to the NFL Draft as he was a JUCO All-American and turned in a 4.32 40 at an NFL Combine. I've played with a lot of fast teammates through the years, his speed was just ridiculous and beyond comprehension unless you saw it up close.

Have yourselves a great day

Monday

You know my Blog Titles have started to become pretty predictable, you always seem to know what day of the week it is, lol. Anyways it's time to stop all the enjoyment and time to stick our collective noses back on the grindstone for another fun filled week of doing what it is we do for a living. It's Monday and the start of another week of changing the world and making it a better place.

I'm still working overtime this week for Duquense Light, so next Friday's paycheck should be a real doozy, to say the least.

I do have an interview with Williams this afternoon, but I did tentatively accept a position with Dominion Energy Friday afternoon. That's a 12-month contract and my contract with Duquense Light runs through the end of June, it would probably be extended, but this project needs to be live by December. It will be nice to look back on it once it is done if I have access to it.

They have come to a hiccup in the road with Michelle's Mom, it's all an insurance thing and they are meeting with an attorney tomorrow afternoon. All has to do with residency, but this is the same attorney that they worked with previously to get her Grandmother taken care of.

Have yourselves a great day.

Hi ho hi ho it's day 8 in a row

Sunday

Here Kiwi. Peanut, Sophie and I sit in a quiet household, we're talking about our weekends so far. I think Sophie has had the best one, she slept during most of it. Except when it was time to eat, then she was more than awake and letting me know to feed her.

I did get my new drone this week, I did take it up on Thursday before the storm and I had ever intention of flying it yesterday, but the weather really wasn't too cooperative. I did get my Thursday flight in, maybe I can get another one in this evening weather permitting.

I do have a decision I have to make here in the next couple of days, I've already agreed to it and submitted everything for my background check and agreed to my drug test. I have a contract offer for Dominion Energy as an Engineer I. It actually pays more money than my current job with Duquense Light and will is longer in duration. Only difference is it is onsite. It's only about a 40 minute drive to Bridgeport, but I will have to report to the office daily. I had I think 9 different head hunters contact me for this position, so I had a pretty good feeling about it. Interviewed a couple of weeks ago and got the official offer Friday evening. I have another interview with Williams tomorrow afternoon, but both my current and offered job pays significantly more. I hate to leave Duquense Light, and it's not going to be for a few more weeks, but this may be my most strategic move.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Saturday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit once again in a quiet household Kiwi is in his cage pretending to be sleeping and watching some old Benny Hill reruns, but I can hear him laughing under his little breath.

They are going to move Michelle's Mom by Monday at 10:00 to what used the be the Madison House for rehab. Her time is up at encompass and they need to move her into a long care facility and this one has an opening for her. Michelle and Chris will have to transport her there and will get her settled in. I know Michelle's sister Dani is supposed to come into town this evening. I'll know more later.

I'm starting my quarter for RTI today. I have a couple of segments, one is basically downtown and the other on the Evansdale Campus. There shouldn't be a whole lot of driving around this quarter.

Later today weather permitting I'm going to take my new drone out for a real first flight rather than just taking it up in the backyard. I'm happy to have an operational drone again and to be honest, this one is better fitted for my needs.

Have yourselves a great day

Big Ole Hairy Friday

Yes, it is once again that time of the week that we all look forward to when we can take time to cease the labors for the week and take a little bit of needed time out to enjoy the fruits of those labors. It is once again the dawn of another weekend and a Big Ole Hairy Friday.

Wow has this been a long week so far, and I'm just finishing up this week's work for one job before going out tomorrow for RTI and starting a new quarter for the other job. After today I'll have 50+ hours in for the week and there is no relaxation for me this weekend.

I did get my drone this week, once I get it all set up and charged up I may try to fly it on its maiden flight Saturday afternoon. This one will be much simpler and easier to fly than my previous drone which was just a little too much for a beginner with only limited time to actually spend with it. This one was much cheaper and does everything I would want it to do.

Have yourselves a great day and the start of a great weekend.

This weeks pic goes back to the early '80s, back to a time when we had probably just moved up to East Gate Manor and a time before any of the remodels took place in the kitchen. This is what it looked like when we first moved in and before any gutting took place.

This is a picture of my Dad and it looks like he is doing one of his favorite things to do in cooking, I said one of his favorite because BBQing was what the man really enjoyed. If you take a good look, you'll notice that the mixer is sitting where the sink was eventually moved to. No Jenair in the middle of the kitchen and the light even had a pull string on it for the fan. Boy did that room change through the years.

Have yourselves a great day.

Happy Birthday Terri Rehmani

I would like to take this opportunity to wish my amazing sister Terri a very Happy Birthday today, I believe this makes her 21 if my math is correct, especially if you use my new and improved variable calendar. 20,089 Days / my 939 Day Calendar equates to 21 years old.

Terri just got back from a weekend trip to Washington DC over the weekend. This was her first visit to our nation's Capital.

Terri is one of the most unselfish and amazing person, if you have someone like this in your life you're pretty lucky. It was her that picked me up at the lowest point in my life and dusted me off and put me on the right path despite me having the fears that I had at that time, that makes her pretty damned amazing in my book and I'm thankful she is my sister.

Not sure if anyone will see Terri today, but if you are fortunate enough take a little bit of time out and wish her a very Happy Birthday today. Happy Birthday Terri.

Tuesday's Tidbits

 * Monday is once again behind us and we have a pretty good start to the week, I'll have an announcement later in this blog.

* Michelle's Mom is doing well physically. Michelle managed to get her glasses repaired and to her and she was excited to now see much better.

* It has been 21,305 days since I was born, that is 21 years using my new,  new and improved 1,000 day Calender. It's better than the 991-day calendar as it gives you a nice round number to work with.

* It has been 6,545 days since I graduated from WVU with a Degree in Geography. Still love what I do and I guess that makes a big difference. Is it really going on 18 years since I Graduated?

* 5,130 days ago Michelle and I had our first date together, the pizza hut is gone, the movie was horrible, but we're still together.

* 4,352 days ago I proposed to Michelle, she was expecting it as we had already bought the engagement ring and it was sitting in the safe.

* It was 3,895 days ago in front of our closest friends and family, for the most part, Michelle and I became husband and wife at the Marilla Center, we poured sand into a vase said our I do's and we were hitched.

* I have now lived 1,517 days longer than my Dad did and I'm still going strong.

* My older Brother Jonathan lived 21,266 days, I've now outlived him by 40 days making me Senior Supreme Sibling once again!!!

* I have 3,627 days to go until I retire, give or take a few hundred days here or there, but I love doing what I do.

* 303 more days until Phil steps to center stage again for Groundhogs Day, I think he and the family have moved back home in the backyard.

* 271 more days to go until my Goodbye 2022 Blog is posted, it's been eventful. I have it started.

* There are 265 more shopping days left until Christmas 2022.

* The next Anniversary of my 21st Birthday will be in 245 more days.

* The next Backyard Brawl where we beat Pitt's ass in Football is only 139 days away. I am so ready for this game.

* There are 123 more days to go until Michelle and I celebrate our Eleventh Wedding Anniversary together. =)

* 111 Days until Michelle and I are in Pittsburgh to see Jimmy Buffett!!!!!

* There are only 77 days until the official start of Summer.

* I have written 6,742 blogs in the now 17 1/2 years since I started blogging. Seems like it was just yesterday that I started all of this.

* Drone still needs to be sent out for repairs, not a big priority at this time. Hell, I should just look into another one.

* And now for the big announcement, you guessed it, I bought a new drone, this one less than half of what we paid for the other one. I've still got the big one and may have it repaired someday, but this one really does for my needs as far as a drone. It's only a 2.7k camera; and not the 4k Camera I had on my other one, but no one could see the videos because Youtube buffers the videos that you upload way down.

* I think Kim and Terri made it home from DC yesterday, I haven't heard from them, hopefully they had a great time.

* We do need to do a Memorial Day picnic, just sayin.... Does anyone else have any input or is it falling on deaf ears?

* I'm working 10 hour days for Duquense Light, money was too much to pass up.

* Have yourselves a great day.

* Hi ho hi ho day 2 in a row.

Monday

All good things must come to an end, that includes those super quick things that I like to refer to as a blip in time or my time off from both jobs. It is now over with until July minus Easter Sunday. Now it is time to take our collective noses and stick them back onto the grindstone for another fun-filled week of doing what we do to make this a better rock to live on.

It's going to be 10 hour days for me this week and next for Duquense Light. We're trying to push a great deal of data through so that we can meet our end-of-the-year goal to have this all operational by the end of the year. It is going to be state of the art in GIS and we really are the innovators of this design that I can see power plants around the country investing and converting to. I'm actually quite proud to be a part of this.

I have to say that during my career in GIS I have been a part of some very interesting projects. I was with the NRAC on the start of the Shenhua Coal Liquefaction where China was turning coal into liquid fuel for a number of years. The entire concept was initially proposed here just outside of Morgantown with the SRC-II Plan that was supposed to go in by Fort Martin in the '70s. I worked on Hurricane Mapping and Emergency response for a high-level audience which was a lot of fun. I actually had a program I wrote being displayed in the White House on Election Day 2008. I worked in Carbon Sequestration where we won a Blue Pencil Award. I worked on putting federal assets into the FIMS database or at least be able to account for assets Geospatially. Something that has been mandated since before I was even in college and we were well on our way until the new contract was underbid. I've worked in Photogrammetry which is 3D Geography, not everyone can see in 3D but I have that ability. Now this for Duquense Light, so when I say make this rock a better place to live, I have been doing that in my field.

I hope everyone has a great day today and the start of a great week, go change the world with what we do.

Sunday

Here I sit on a quiet, non-working kind of Sunday Morning. Kiwi, Peanut, and I are all sitting here playing Gin Rummy, telling jokes, and having a good old time. They are both reminding me that I'm not working either job today, so they think I'm free to do the things they want.

Michelle and I do have plans this morning, we'll be attending another church service at Woodland this morning, and immediately following we will be attending our great niece's baptism.

We actually did all of our Sunday chores yesterday, did our grocery shopping, and things like that. Michelle did manage to find a pair of replacement frames for her Mom's glasses that had broken when she fell. The lenses are all fine, it was the frames that pretty much got shattered. She hasn't been able to see far away since her accident, now maybe she can see a little better and see what a beautiful daughter she has.

Starting tomorrow my life is going to get real busy, Duquense Light is offering us 10 hours of overtime per week and you can bet your bottom dollar I'm not passing that money up. I'll be working 10's the next couple of weeks then the next quarter for RTI begins, so I will be out both days next weekend staying busy. I'll have Easter off as I don't intend on working that day, so tomorrow starts a stretch of 13 straight days.

Kim and Terri are still taking in the sites of our Nation's Capital.

Have yourselves a great day.

Saturday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit in a quiet household, Kiwi and I are up telling jokes and talking about me having the weekend off. That doesn't happen too often, so there is much to talk about.

Michelle and Chris ran up to Pittsburgh yesterday. They went to their Mom's to try to get a few things for her out of the trailer.

Kim ad Terri are getting ready to enjoy their second day in Washington DC. They went down yesterday morning, Terri has never been to DC so she is in for a lot of excitement. Being able to see many things she's only heard about or seen on TV, now she will be right there to take it in and enjoy it first hand.

I'm not sure what I will be getting into today, we are scheduled to go to a baptism tomorrow of her great-niece at Woodland UMC hee in Morgantown. This will be two weeks in a row that I will be in a church on a Sunday, first time that has happened since my Riverside days in the '80s.

Have yourselves a great day and end enjoy it. I will.

Look at this sexy guy with the golden locks upon his head. Yes, I had hair and a lot of it back in the day, and I even had stylish clothes to match the furniture. I was really styling back a few years ago, and by a few I mean more than 3 and less than 100 years ago.

Here I am opening my present, it was one of the greatest presents ever known to man and Grandma Hall was really thinking of me back then. Can anyone guess what it is that I am opening? Is it a bicycle? Nope, a Basketball, it could be but it's a little too long and a little too thin to be a basketball.

What could she have gotten me that I would still be able to use? It was an opportunity. Opportunity to do what you may ask, the opportunity to make you think that it's Thursday when it is Friday. April Fools.
