Here I sit yet once again in a quiet household, I'm the first one up this morning but I was also the first one to bed last night. I'm sitting here watching who knows what and collecting my thoughts for the day and still trying to recover from this head cold.
First off a big thank you to my wonderful wife as she stepped up and took care of everything yesterday as my body is still trying to recover from this gunk I have in my head. I don't have time to be sick, but if I do have to be sick I guess this was the ideal time.
Today is my last day off for a stretch, probably for at least three weeks until Easter Sunday. The new quarter for RTI begins tomorrow and my life will be extremely busy this week at both jobs with the yearly event exercise this week at NETL. I do not know any specifics yet, but indication are it will be a large scale natural disaster that hits the facility. We do these simulations every year, but this is the first one I will be directly involved with and it will be the largest scale one we have ever done. We bring in actors and other local agencies to participate, to make the simulation as real as possible.
Have yourselves a great day.

Saturday Morning Rambling
Here I sit in a quiet household, Michelle just went to bed after a long night. I've been sick and sleeping and she had to run Chad to the hospital last night and he is still there as of press time. I'm just waking up and burning up with a fever, so I'm going back to bed right after I write this.
I have got to get better and healthy, Monday my life gets extremely busy with a new quarter starting plus we are doing our yearly full scale exercise at NETL and I'll have a dual role this year and I will be extremely busy for a couple of days. So much so that I have scheduled my RTI work around this exercise.
I was planning on trying to fly the drone this weekend, but me being under the weather has put a bit of a damper on that. I would rather be healthy come Monday than have a little fun today, and that is if I felt any better.
Anyone playing an NCAA Tournament Bracket? I'm still in second place in my bracket challenge with the group I'm playing with, 3 of my 4 final 4 teams are still alive and I have a good chance on winning this bracket, I actually feel pretty confident that I can win it. I just have to avoid the upsets and Duke needs to beat Kentucky in the Finals.
Have yourselves a great day.

Big Ole Hairy Friday
Yes it is once again that time of the week that we all look foreword to, when we can take time to cease the labors for the week and take a little bit of needed time out to enjoy the fruits of those labors. It is once again the dawn of another weekend and a Big Ole Hairy Friday.
This needs to be a relaxing weekend, as it is my last weekend off for probably a couple of months. My new quarter with RTI begins on Monday and my life will once again get pretty busy for a period of time. The good thing is, both of my sections are right here in Morgantown, but I'll just say I'll have some traffic sitting on my transit to the sections, especially during the week day. However I am quite familiar with the areas that I will be working so there is always that positive.
No plans yet for the weekend, it's supposed to be nice tomorrow, so I might just try to get my first real drone flight of the season in. I need to do something to enjoy the weekend, it'll be my last free weekend until probably Memorial Day weekend to be honest.
Have yourselves a great day.

Photo Flashback Thursday
Once a week I like to take a little bit of time out and look through some of the pictures that I have either taken, scanned or stolen off of the internet through the years and find one special picture that stands out. Little lost moments in time from yesterday caught with a Cameras lens and relived right here in my blog. Sometimes it's pretty easy to find that one special picture and sometimes it's not that easy, one thing it consistently is however is a whole lot of fun.
This weeks pic goes back a few years, all the way back to 2008. Michelle and I were at the infancy of our relationship and we had taken Hayley and her boyfriend at the time Wyatt out to dinner at Cheddars, then she wanted to go and see Kung Fu Panda at the Theater. It's a movie and a series that I still love to this day...lol
The next day we all headed to Deep Creek Lake to do a little bit of Geocaching and some swimming at the lake, but that is another story.
Have yourselves a great day.

Wednesdays Thoughts
Well here we are again, at the one blog that occurs during the week that has traditionally been the toughest blog for me to write. It's the blog that is not a live weekend blog, not a theme blog or a beginning of the week blog. It's just stuck in the middle of a workweek and I have other things on my mind.
One of my rules for my blog is I try to never let emotion be placed onto my blog and I really try hard to keep politics and religion (two subjects I used to love to debate in online forums) off my blog. Reason being something I may be mad about today, may not be the way I feel two years from now and vice versa.
Same holds true with my Social Media, Facebook as we all know it as. I try not to post anything controversial or anything that may take the path of Social Conditioning the populace, much of the time with false or misleading information and passing it off as truth. This is an ugly trend that I am seeing more and more on Social Media. I've seen lifelong friendships brought into question and a mob like mentality attacking friends who may not just see things the way you do. I'm not going to endorse or condemn anyone's political ideology, but there comes a time when everything some people post are misleading (meaning if you research it the facts don't support it) information in an attempt to garner support for a political stance.
One that stood out to me this past week was a picture of the Bible and a Gun and said something along the lines of the two things our country was funded upon and those guys hate. Uh, not even close to being correct. The two main reasons we broke away from England was that England wanted to tax the colonies for their war debt, specifically the French and Indian War. We opposed being taxed and taxed without representation. You might have heard of the Boston Tea Party.
The other thing was that England did not want the colonies to expand beyond the Appalachian Mountains, where Colonists wanted to keep growing the borders and eventually expand coast to coast (Manifest Destiny).
The author of the Declaration was a Theist, not a Christian. He considered the teachings of Jesus "the most sublime and benevolent code of morals which has ever been offered to man".
However inaccurate Memes spread on Facebook based on nothing factual are running rampant. They are brainwashing a faction of the populace with false information and has divided our country like I have never seen it in my lifetime. The people pointing the fingers about the other guys, are the biggest perpetrators to honor and integrity. Just sit back and watch, it is scary what has happened to our country.
Nikita Khrushchev one proclaimed that "We will take America without firing a shot". He made that statement in 1956, today I wonder what he saw as I'm seeing it happen right before our eyes.
We used to be Americans, friends, neighbors, a nation with a common purpose and a common enemy (Boogey man). Today we are split by partisanship extreme and I have a sad feeling this generation has passed the point of no return and this makes me sad.
I would like to see people just simply sharing funny stories, recipees, family pictures and cute little antidotes on Social Media rather than what I am seeing today.
Just my thoughts for the day.

Tuesday's Tidbits
* Monday is over with, Tuesday is dawning upon us, time for a tidbits.
* It has been 20,204 since my birth, it was just a mere 21 years ago if you know how to do proper math. I asked Calvin this past weekend how many days he was old, he couldn't even begin to calculate it.
* It has been 5,427 days since I graduated from WVU. The countdown is on for thousands of others who will realize their dreams and begin to clear out of town.
* 4,028 days ago Michelle and I had our first date together, dinner and a movie.
* 3,252 days ago I got down on one knee and asked Michelle to be my wife. It was 4:00 in the morning in the back yard, but she was up and ready as she knew it was coming.
* It was 2,789 days ago in front of our closest friends and family, Michelle and I were married at the Marilla Center
* I have now lived 415 days longer than my Dad did, makes you realize how short time and life really is.
* I have 4,633 days to go until I retire, give or take a few hundred days here or there, like I said I love what I do and who knows when I would retire.
* The next Backyard brawl where we beat Pitt's ass in Football is only 1,257 days away. With Spring Practice underway, I'm starting to get that football feeling.
* 313 more days until Phil steps to center stage again for Groundhogs Day, I'm hating on him a lot less as out warmer weather is getting here.
* 297 more days to go until my Goodbye 2019 Blog is posted, where I relive the previous year through what was posted right here in my blog.
* There are 273 more shopping days left until Christmas 2019.
* My next Anniversary of my 21st Birthday will be in 250 more days, this should be about my 35th Anniversary of it.
* There are 133 more days to go until Michelle and I celebrate our Eighth Wedding Anniversary together, seems like only yesterday.
* There are 87 days until the start of my Second favorite season. SUMMERTIME!!!!!
* I have written 5,586 blogs in the 14 1/2 years since I first tested this thing called blogging out.
* No Drone flights this weekend, but soon. I should have flown this past weekend, the time is definitely coming.
* I still need a new impossible project. No ideas yet, but I'm sure I'll come up with something.
* To answer Calvin's Question that I asked him, he is 8,590 days old. Everyone should know how old they are.
* Why do some people have to make every post on social media about Politics? I've just seen over the past few weeks that to some, it's more about spreading misinformation and propaganda than about politics. In case you haven't noticed, if someone is pointing the finger at the opposing side, they are just masking their own habits. There are things in life other than Politics at the National level.
* The Mountaineers are in week 2 of Spring Drills for Football. Neal Brown is making players stand the entire practice, no kneeling. It's a new era of Mountaineer Football.
* Anyone seen the new Parcel Viewer WVU is hosting? It's a real nice upgrade from the previous viewer. I know a couple of people who ask me to pull up the information are loving this new site.
* I'm STILL converting some old VHS tapes to Digital Format for Trish. I really need to get back on this as I am such a procrastinator.
* Have yourselves a great day.

Monday
Weekend is over with, now it is time to stop all the relaxing and get to doing what it is that we do for a living. Time to stick our collective noses back onto the grindstone for another fun filled week of earning our keep.
Looking at my week ahead I meeting Wednesday with my group in Engineering, just a regular keep up to date meeting where we all assemble in one place to talk about what is going on. We used to have them weekly, but once we absorbed the other contract that kind of stopped.
I do have a scheduled Morale Committee meeting scheduled for today, although the Fed that facilitated that meeting was reassigned to headquarters so it's hard to say until this afternoon of that group will even still exist or is it simply on hiatus.
Next week should be a busy week for me, we have yearly disaster simulation exercises, this year I am part of the Emergency Operations Center as a Technical Specialist for Geo-spatial information and access. I'll be pulling double duty as I am also a Fire Warden for my floor so I'm doing to be busy doing accountability drills in my building and being in the Command Center. It's an all day event where we bring in actors and outside help. It's a full scale exercise of a scenario disaster and no one knows any specifics of the disaster, but that is next weeks fun.
Have yourselves a great day.

Sunday
Here I sit in a quiet household once again, the TV behind me is silent as I was streaming a movie that is now completed. I'm sitting here collecting my thoughts for the day and contemplating laying back down for a couple of hours.
I did watch a little of the NCAA Tournament yesterday, in my group my bracket is still alive and within striking distance to win, but many others in our group also picking Duke to win the tournament.
I did have a nice conversation with Jonathan yesterday, I found a subject that he likes and enjoys talking about. He used to buy and sell artwork and from my understanding did it pretty well. Said he used to love going to antique stores and buying up paintings, said he would always refer to them as a picture instead of a paining in an attempt to not over value the piece of art. Said he had no problem at all and finding buyers and had a bit of success with it. He had all kinds of art books and sold all over the world, he had his specific niche and mastered it. It was a nice conversation, it was nice to have him leading the conversation educating me about his life rather than explaining to him his origins,
Our plans for the day are simple, grocery shop this morning, come home and do my Sunday Chores and the rest of the day is ours to do with as we please.
Have yourselves a great day and enjoy it.

Saturday Morning Ramblings
Here I sit once again in a quiet household, I'm the first one to awaken from getting knocked out by the dreaded Sandman last night. I'm up early watching Up on some channel and collecting my thoughts for the day.
Michelle and I went out to dinner last night at Golden Coral and ran into my Sister Pam and that whole clan. George, Moke, Ang, Ryleigh, Calvin, Jeanetta, Misty and Robert were all eating there so we decided to join them. It was a good time and it was nice to catch up with them, I hadn't seen any of them in a while, so it was a pleasant surprise.
Not too many plans for the day other than laundry and Michelle going to the Vets to do payroll. If the weather was a little more cooperative I would take the drone out and fly it, but today is going to be less than optimal to fly.
I did manage to watch a couple really good movies this past week. I watched the Mule and watched the Dirt last night. The Mule is Clint Eastwood's latest movie and the Dirt is about the career of Motley Crue.
Have yourselves a great day, I'm going back to bed.

Ah yes, another two day weekend for yours truly, I'm just hoping the weather holds out so that I can go out and do a good drone flight this weekend. I'm really itching to fly and with a new quarter stating soon for RTI, I'm not going to have that prime time to fly that I wanted.
No big plans for the day or the weekend. I do have an NCAA Tournament Bracket that I am playing for fun. Same group of guys I have played with the past few years. I have lost 2 of the last 3 years to the mighty Titus, but I did manage to defeat him last year for the fist time ever. I must beat Titus again this year, it is my mission.
Have yourselves a great day

Photo Flashback Thursday
This weeks pic goes back almost 11 years, Michelle and I were early in our relationship and we all decided to go to a WVU Baseball game together. Hayley was just a young kid at that time and used to be a bibliophile (someone who reads a lot of books) when Michelle and I first started dating.
I can't remember if WVU won or lost that day, but I walked away the big winner on that day.
Have yourselves a great day.

SPRING!!!!!!!!!
We have officially made it, Winter (my least favorite season) is now over with and we are changing to my favorite season which is Spring.
I know some are more partial to other seasons, but Springtime has always been my favorite. It's when we say goodbye to the doldrums of winter and embrace longer days, warmer weather and well natures beauty that she bestows upon us.
Whether it be the fresh smells of newly born foliage that emanates a smell tickling our taste of smell, to the beauty and color that trees and flowers start to present, natures own eye candy or whether it be the sounds of newborn birds calling out to their mothers to comer and feed them, this is and will always be my favorite season of the year.
Have yourselves a great spring day

* It was 2,782 days ago in front of our closest friends and family, Michelle and I were married, we poured sand into a vase and that vase is still on top of our TV. AS well as the Flag that flew over the United States Capital that day as well.
* I have now lived 408 days longer than my Dad did, makes you realize how short time and life really is.
* I have 4,640 days to go until I retire, give or take a few hundred days here or there, like I said I love what I do and who knows when I would retire.
* The next Backyard brawl where we beat Pitt's ass in Football is only 1,264 days away. This countdown is really starting to dwindle down.
* 320 more days until Phil steps to center stage again for Groundhogs Day, I'm hating on him a lot less as out warmer weather is getting here.
* 304 more days to go until my Goodbye 2019 Blog is posted, where I relive the previous year through what was posted right here in my blog.
* There are 280 more shopping days left until Christmas 2019.
* My next Anniversary of my 21st Birthday will be in 257 more days, this should be about my 35th Anniversary of it.
* There are 140 more days to go until Michelle and I celebrate our Eighth Wedding Anniversary together, seems like only yesterday.
* There are 1 days until the next start of my favorite season, SPRING. Wait, 1 day? SPRING STARTS TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!
* I have written 5,579 blogs in the 14 1/2 years since I first tested this thing called blogging out.
* No Drone flights this weekend, but soon. I should have flown this past weekend, the time is definitely coming.
* I still need a new impossible project. The only problem is how do you top finding a sibling?
* BOPARC finally has their season softball packets out. We're starting to put the ink on the paper now to get organized. I'm ready to hit the field.
* Peanut keeps telling me it's Meoutside time, I keep telling her soon.
* Anyone know of a good place they would like to see a drone flown? I'm open to suggestions provided they are legal.
* Anyone ready for Spring? It starts tomorrow I read.
* I'm STILL converting some old VHS tapes to Digital Format for Trish. I really need to get back on this as I am such a procrastinator.
* Have yourselves a great day.

Happy Birthday Amy Dalton
I would like to take this opportunity to wish my wonderful niece Amy a very Happy Birthday today.
Amy is an amazing goal oriented inspiring young lady, she is a teachers aid as this is a profession that I think she absolutely loves. She set a goal, came up with a gameplan to achieve it and now has that job I think that she has always wanted to have.
Amy is also a very creative photographer. She has that Photographers eye on how to create a great shot that I wish I had but do not.
She's an amazing mother with two kids with all the tools and guidance to accomplish anything they choose and that starts in the home that Amy and Ralph have created.
I'm not sure what Ralph, Kaiden and Kynlea have planned for Amy today, but you can bet it is going to be memorable. If you see this wonderful young lady today, make sure you wish her a Happy Birthday.
Happy Birthday Amy.

New Week
Here we all are, relaxed and ready to go for another fun filled week of doing what it is we do for a living. April had her Baby, St Patrick's Day is now behind us, so it's time to concentrate on the new beginning of a new work week.
Looking at my week ahead, I just have one mandatory meeting this week, but other than that it looks like I will be doing a lot of editing and creating datasets of our facility. This is my strength in my profession, it's when you put the headphones on and put some good music on and go to town editing. Of course there are always possibilities that something else can and will come up, but we'll deal with those as they come.
I'm done this quarter for RTI obviously, but my next quarters segment materials are due to arrive this week so I can start gearing up for the next quarter later this week. I do however get to enjoy the next two weekends however as the next quarter doesn't start until April Fools Day.
Have yourselves a super-fantastic day.

Sunday Morning Sleep In
Here I sit in a semi-quiet household, Michelle just got up and made herself a cup of coffee and I'm up much later than my normal wake up time writing this masterpiece and trying to wake up.
Well April the Giraffe had her Baby yesterday morning around noonish. 300,000 people were tuned in on Youtube to watch her give birth to new baby, which has yet to have been named. When her last baby Tajiri was born, about 230,000 people were tuned in to watch. I guess more and more people are starting to get addicted to watching pregnant giraffe Hoo Haas.
Nothing special planned for the day other than our normal routine, I have my drone charged, but it was a little cold yesterday so I didn't take it out to fly it. It might be a little warmer this afternoon so I might try to take it up here at home for a brief flight just to re-acclimate myself to the controls since it has been so long since I have flown it.
Have yourselves a great day and enjoy the second half of your weekend.

Saturday Morning Rambing
Here I sit in a quiet household, Michelle has the the bedroom and living room TV's tuned into the Giraffe Cam waiting for April to give birth. Her sleep patterns are sleep a couple of hours and then get back to watching April. Me, I'm up collecting my thoughts for the day and trying to decide what I am going to do with my first full weekend off in 2019.
Yes, I have my first weekend off since after Christmas and just before New Years, I had zero billable hours this week fro RTI and my caseload has been transferred away for clean up. I'm off this weekend =).
It was so nice the past couple of days that I actually have my drone battery and the drones transmitter charging in hopes that we will have some decent weather this weekend. Although Michelle came in from outside a few hours ago to tell me that it is raining ice, so that is not good. Weather may not want to cooperate with me for a drone flight this weekend, but I am going to be ready for it if it does decide to warm up a little.
Michelle's Nephew Donald has just graduated Basic Training and has arrived in Kentucky to begin his official training with the 101st Airborne. He has been in Missouri since around Thanksgiving for basic and just Graduated from Basic. Danielle and Roy both were there to watch him Graduate. I know that everyone in the family is very proud of this young man, and being in Airborne is a distinction that he is going to carry with him the rest of his life proudly.
Have yourselves a great day, I'll try to find something to do to occupy my time. I'm really hoping the weather will hold out, but if not I can always fly a local and short drone flight, it has been too long since I have flown.

No plans for me this weekend, it's actually going to be my first full weekend off of 2019 believe it or not. The last full weekend I had was right before New Years, after that it was off to St Louis and then out in the field working every day for a month and then one weekend day the past few weeks.
So what am I going to do with my weekend of freedom one would ask? One where he days are actually getting longer, the answer is I don't know. I know I would like to start getting a few drone flights in in the near future before my life gets chaotic again.
One big thing of special note today since it is mine and Michelle's Friday night date night (consisting of Sam's Club and dinner), it was 11 years ago today that I took Michelle out to see the movie 10,000 BC and it was the beginning of our relationship that is still going strong today.

This weeks pic goes back three years, a time when Peanut was just a little kitten and we had just adopted her and gave her a furever home. She was part of a wild litter that a girl had found out of state and I searched on Petfinder to find a new cat as Phin, who Michelle was very close to had just passed away. I wanted to find a cat that looked like Phin and could make her Happy, we both found this bundle of joy on the internet and both picked this one out of the litter.
This pic was right after we brought her home, and Peanut is still living here and happy as heck just waiting for some warm weather to go out and frolic around all day.
Have yourselves a great day.

Hump Day
Two days down, two more ahead of us after today, I guess that just means we need to get up and over this noon time hump and everything will be downhill as we work towards another fun filled weekend.
As I was looking for am image for this weeks Wednesday Blog I came across this little ditty of am image to post and it got me thinking. "What If" is a question that we could ask ourselves and spend a whole day pondering.
What if one event or another did or did not happen throughout our lives and how could or would it have changed our destiny or our lives to where it is now. I'm fortunate, my what ifs have all landed me in a better place and put me on a different path than what may have happened. What if Sterling Faucet had never closed down and left Morgantown. What if Helmick had never closed? Would I still be at one of these industrial facilities? Would I be a whole lot poorer than I am today as Sterling didn't pay well and Helmick was basically killing me. What if I chickened out on my first day of college and didn't make it? I threw up on my way to campus the first day because of nerves, what if my destiny had been changed that day. What if my Dad was still around, would things be different or would paths have been straighter for others? What if Michelle's first husband would not have passed away, would I still be single today?
What if I may have found a new theme for a blog simply by accident?
Have yourselves a great day

Tuesday's Tidbits
* Monday completed, now it's time to tackle a big Tuesday, can't think of a better reason to do a tidbits.
* It has been 20,190 since I first blessed this earth with my blogging presence, a time that it should have said in the blogasphere that the worlds greatest blogger has entered this dimension.
* It has been 5,413 days since I graduated from WVU> Just think in a couple more months this city will be like it is traffic wise this week all summer.
* 4,014 days ago Michelle and I had our first date together, it still seems like yesterday sometimes.
* 3,238 days ago I got down on one knee and asked Michelle to be my wife. It was 4:00 in the morning in the back yard, but she was up and ready as she knew it was coming.
* It was 2,775 days ago in front of our closest friends and family, Michelle and I were married by a co-worker of hers at the time.
* I have now lived 401 days longer than my Dad did, I think he would have liked to have seen what I have done since then, meaning career wise and my specific profession.
* I have 4,647 days to go until I retire, give or take a few hundred days here or there, like I said I love what I do and who knows when I would retire.
* The next Backyard brawl where we beat Pitt's ass in Football is only 1,271 days away. I wonder of there good recipes for Panther Rolls, you know like a Pepperoni Roll only with fresh dead panther.
* 327 more days until Phil steps to center stage again for Groundhogs Day, we love Phil with his prediction this year, but it looks like he might have fibbed. That's OK, I'll forgive him.
* 311 more days to go until my Goodbye 2019 Blog is posted, where I relive the previous year through what was posted right here in my blog.
* There are 287 more shopping days left until Christmas 2019, Walmart is just starting to put their spring stuff out.
* My next Anniversary of my 21st Birthday will be in 264 more days, this should be about my 35th Anniversary of it.
* There are 147 more days to go until Michelle and I celebrate our Eighth Wedding Anniversary together, seems like only yesterday.
* There are 7 days until the next start of my favorite season, SPRING. Have I ever mentioned I hate snow and cold weather? .
* I have written 5,571 blogs in the 14 1/2 years since I wrote my first blog.
* No Drone flights this weekend, but soon. I should have flown this past weekend, the time is definitely coming.
* I still need a new impossible project. I hate not really having any objectives.I guess finding a long lost brother is the top of the food chain, everything else is less than impossible.
* BOPARC finally has their season softball packets out. We're starting to put the ink on the paper now to get organized. Smitty is no longer running the team and has once again retired, but the team continues.
* April the Giraffe cam.
* I see the Nature Cam is back up, Bears looking to catch and eat salmon.
* One has to wonder, why are there no streaming cameras in the Morgantown area? There used to be one of the county courthouse, but other than the 511 road condition cams I know of none.
* I'm STILL converting some old VHS tapes to Digital Format for Trish. I really need to get back on this as I am such a procrastinator.
* Have yourselves a great day.

Longer Days
It's time to head back into those offices and do what it is that we do for a living, Monday is once again upon us and it's time for us to make the world go round.
By longer days I am referring to the amount of daylight that we will have available to us. The Sun will officially go down today at 7:21 meaning there will be more time to do things. With warmer weather on the way and the birds a singing, it means we are getting my my favorite time of the year. SPRINGTIME!!!!!!
I'm off this evening, my quarter is over with and I'll start preparing for the next quarter here in a few weeks. I don't think it is going to be a busy quarter for me, one is a section I worked last year and completed and there will be one new one to go with it. I know both have a minimal number of lines, so it's not going to be as challenging as this past quarter.
Michelle is still watching April the Giraffe and waiting on the new baby. She watched April a few years ago and it's back to putting the TV in the bedroom on Youtube so she can stream it and keep an eye on her friend...lol
Have yourselves a great day.

Sunday
Here I sit trying to adjust my body to it being one hour ahead of what time I am used to it being for it is the start of Daylight Savings time. If you are reading this and did not set your clocks ahead an hour, you're probably going to be late to where it is you are going today.
The WVU Rifle team could not manage to win the National Championship this weekend, they finished second overall to TCU and are the national runner ups. I had high hopes of them winning it here, but I guess it was just not to be. This is the first time a National Championship event has been here in Morgantown and at WVU. Hopefully they got a large enough crowd that that they event can return in the future.
The Antonio Brown era is over for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has been traded overnight to the Los Angeles Raiders for a 3rd and 5th round pick in the upcoming draft. It was rumored that he was going to be traded to Buffalo a couple of days ago, but he kind of threw a monkey wrench in that trade. He had a great career in Pittsburgh, but the past few months the drama has been detrimental to the success of the team, I think it is a good deal. Two draft picks for a 31 year old receiver with an attitude.
Keeping on the theme of sports, BOPARC finally released their softball packets this year, so we will once again be gathering the boys of summer up and hitting the field again as Whitetail Crossing. This will be the 4th year that we have assembled under this sponsor.
Have a great day today.

Saturday Morning Rambling
Here I sit in a semi-quiet household, Michelle is sleeping but has the Giraffe Cam on in the bedroom waiting for April to pop again. I'm out in the living room with something or another on the TV and collecting my thoughts.
Day 2 of the NCAA Rifle Championship is being held today in the WVU Coliseum. WVU lost the tiebreaker to TCU on the first day of shooting and will do their best to win today and hopefully win their 20th Title right in our own back yard.
I'm out working once again for RTI. This is most likely my last day out this quarter, the cases are going to be transferred for clean up after the weekend and we'll have a few weeks off as I start to gear up for the next quarters work. Not sure where I will be working, but both of my segments are both in Morgantown once again so there shouldn't be too much travel associated with it.
I did manage to help a co-worker (and Jean's cousin) out with a prescription yesterday. He gets a three month supply of a diabetic prescription that his portion that he has to pay is $100 for a 3 month supply. I actually showed him how to get his three month supply for $0.00 at a local Pharmacy. I don't think he believed me until he went and talked to the Pharmacy, now he's quite happy. Usually any higher priced diabetes medications have manufacturers coupons that are good for a year (then they just need renewed) that help you obtain the prescription for next to nothing.
I think I'm laying back down, have yourselves a great day when you wake up.

OK here is your chance. The best sports team in WVU history has been the heralded rifle team. a 19 Time NCAA Champion. There have been Olympic Gold Medals won by members of this storied program and even some of the top coaches fro other schools are WVU Grads. We are the school for rifling.
Why is this significant, never have we won the tournament at home. We have never hosted the NCAA Finals, until this year.
Today and tomorrow the WVU rifle team will attempt to win it's 20th NCAA Championship right here in Morgantown. If you are not doing anything, the WVU Coliseum is the place to be.
Have yourselves a great day

Once a week I like to take a little bit of time out and look through some of the pictures that I have either taken, scanned or stolen off of the internet through the years and find one special picture that stands out. Little lost moments in time from yesterday caught with a Cameras lens and relived right here in my blog. Sometimes it's pretty easy to find that one special picture and sometimes it's not that easy, one thing it consistently is however is a whole lot of fun.
This weeks pic is a picture of my and my sister Pam with one of my all time favorite Comedians, the man who hates Watermelons more than anyone, Gallagher.
This weeks pic goes all the way back to the year 2007, a time before Michelle and I even started dating. Gallagher had played Morgantown numerous times previously, but I never had the opportunity to see him live for one reason or another. I did get to not only see him but to meet him on this fateful night.

Hump Day
Two days down, two more ahead of us after today, that must mean that today is the day when the work week goers from going up hill, to topping the crest and we start our downhill portion of the work week after we pass this noon time hump.
Michelle is still going to be in her second jobs office later tonight, I'm probably going to go out and do a little bit of field work for RTI and do my best to stay work and recover from this recent arctic blast that kind of messed us up this past week.
Other than that nothing really to report other than we are both chugging along, you know it's the lather, rinse, repeat unending cycle. Maybe it's just that days are starting to get longer and we'll move the clocks ahead this coming weekend, I'm starting to really anticipate warmer weather, longer days, birds a singing and the smell of spring tickling my nostril hairs. I'm so done with winter.
Have yourselves a great day.

Tuesday's Tidbits
* Monday has been completed, next step in world domination begins with a Tuesday. Great reason to do a tidbits.
* It has been 20,183 since I was born, that's a lot of days. I swear when I was younger ever day took like a month to complete, now that I'm older the balance is every Month seems like a day to complete.
* It has been 5,406 days since my commencement from WVU happened, one of the proudest moments of my life.
* 4,007 days ago Michelle and I had our first date together, 10,000 BC was the movie I chose for the night. She must have forgiven me, we're still together.
* 3,231 days ago I got down on one knee and asked Michelle to be my wife. It was 4:00 in the morning in the back yard, but she was up and ready as she knew it was coming.
* It was 2,768 days ago in front of our closest friends and family, Michelle and I got ourselves hitched then feasted like kings.
* I have now lived 394 days longer than my Dad did, just goes to show you his life was too short.
* I have 4,654 days to go until I retire, give or take a few hundred days here or there, like I said I love what I do and who knows when I would retire.
* The next Backyard brawl where we beat Pitt's ass in Football is only 1,278 days away. I need some Panther meat.
* 334 more days until Phil steps to center stage again for Groundhogs Day, we love Phil with his prediction this year, but it looks like he might have fibbed. That's OK, I'll forgive him.
* 318 more days to go until my Goodbye 2019 Blog is posted, where I relive the previous year through what was posted right here in my blog.
* There are 294 more shopping days left until Christmas 2019, still a long way away.
* My next Anniversary of my 21st Birthday will be in 271 more days, this should be about my 35th Anniversary of it.
* There are 154 more days to go until Michelle and I celebrate our Eighth Wedding Anniversary together, seems like only yesterday.
* There are 14 days until the next start of my favorite season, SPRING. Have I ever mentioned I hate snow and cold weather? .
* I have written 5,564 blogs in the 14 1/4+ years since I wanted to try this thing called blogging.
* No Drone flights this weekend, it's still winter but I want to get out and fly a little more this coming Spring.
* I still need a new impossible project. I hate not really having any objectives.
* Still patiently awaiting to hear anything from BOPARC on the 2019 Softball season. The boys of Summer are ready to re-assemble.
* Do you know that we are only a mere 5 days away from the start of Daylight Savings time? It will run from March 10th to November 3rd and I am ready to sacrifice an hours sleep for warmer weather and more daylight.
* Yes I am really suffering from Seasonal Affect Disorder (SAD). I need longer days and more sunlight, I'm done with this Winter thing for 2019. I'm so ready for Spring
* Something I have seen and would like to do, but it would take a large participation from a number of people to pull it off. A Murder Mystery get together. Scenarios are only like $50 each and includes a number of items. I think it would be a lot of fun.
* I'm STILL converting some old VHS tapes to Digital Format for Trish. I really need to get back on this as I am such a procrastinator.
* Have yourselves a great day.

Ready, Set, Go
Let's start this thing all over, it's Monday which means the start of another fun filled week of doing what we love to earn our keep. It's time to put the work clothes on and head off to the office or what ever your place of employment and make a difference in this world once again.
I am pre-writing this blog on early Sunday morning and do not know if there is a big snowfall or if any problems have arisen from any changes in the weather. I do know that I really think Mother Nature needs to be put in a nursing home and her ability to control our weather needs to be downsized as she is no longer capable of demonstrating the ability to effectively manage the weather. The Geriatric wench, needs to retire and let someone younger and more vibrant take over. Someone who doesn't hate my Daffodils and would allow them to flourish. It's going to be a cold one this week.
Michelle is going to have a busy week, I know the accountant is coming in from out of state for the Vet's office and she will be there helping her for the better part of this week. Michelle is an amazing woman, the amount of drive and determination she has when she is motivated. I will be working one evening this week for RTI, but that is just going to be going through the motions as this quarter is done, I'm just waiting on the follow up person to come in.
Have yourselves a great day and the start of a new week.

Sunday
Here I sit way too early in the morning, I'm up for a trip to the restroom and am going to lay my big butt back down after I write this blog. While I am here though I will attempt to put together a coherent blog while I keep my eyes propped open.
Jim and Chris had a great auction yesterday, there were well over 100 people there last night seeking deals and quite a few of them found them. I would have called this the tool and candle auction, as he had plenty of each for sale. I ended up buying 3 boxes of 9mm practice ammo. Got a real good deal on 150 rounds and I jumped on it. Someone at the auction tried to say that 9MM Luger ammo might not fire in a regular 9mm, that statement is just simply false. Why do I refer to it as practice ammo, Full Metal Jacket ammunition is much cheaper to shoot, I use them to practice but my firearms are all loaded with hollow points and RIP rounds for self defense.
We're going to get a good start for the day, they are calling for as much as 9" of snow hitting Morgantown today and into tomorrow morning. It is best to just be prepared and we intend on beating the heavy snow that is going to blanket and cripple the area over the next 24 hours. We're going to make a big batch of Zuppa Toscana for dinner this evening, but other than that it is going to be a relaxing day.
Have yourselves a great day and remember to have your essentials in case you get snowed in. Oh by the way, I Hate Snow.

Saturday Morning Ramblings
Here I sit yet once again in a quiet household, I'm the first one to recover from that losing battle with the Sandman last night. I'm sitting here with the TV on in the background and collecting my thoughts for the day.
There will be an Auction this evening at the Woodland United Methodist Church on the Mileground. Jim and Chris are referring to this as their March madness Auction and have a sizable inventory of new tools and other useful items around the home. Food will be available for sale in the concession stand and it will be handled by the church, so it should be a nice evening for an auction, so come on out and exchange some of that tax return money for a few deals on some useful tools. Michelle will be up there all day assisting with the Auction, stop in and say hello to her.
Me, I'll be out on the field working yet once again today. I would have relinquished my section by now, but my boss does not have anyone that she can bring in for followup and clean up at this time. The Morgantown area is a hard one to work, and it is either feast or famine and it has been famine basically the entire month of February. We start a new quarter at the beginning of next month, I'm basically going through the motions until we start a new quarter.
Have yourselves a great day.

Big OIe Hairy Friday
Yes it is once again that time of the week that we all look foreword to, when we can take time to cease the labors for the week and take a little bit of needed time out to enjoy the fruits of those labors. It is once again the dawn of another weekend and a Big Ole Hairy Friday.
Do you believe we are entering the month of March already? Seems like it was just last week I was in St Louis or even Washington DC, now we are already in March. Spring starts this month as well as Daylights savings time, winter is officially on the back end. Woo Hoo
If you are looking for something to do tomorrow, Jim and Chris are having an their March Madness Auction tomorrow at the Woodland United Methodist Church. The Auction starts at 6:00 PM and Michelle will be up there all day assisting if she doesn't go over this evening to assist and help set up. Their auctions do seem to be getting bigger and bigger, so stop on over and see if you can find yourself a nice deal.
Have yourselves a great day.
