It's Football Season

Here I sit in a semi quiet household, I'm up and and enjoying the quiet before the storm that is Morgantown on Gameday. I'm checking the High School scores from last night and collecting my thoughts for today's events.

Today begins a new era, the Neal Brown era officially starts today when the Mountaineers play host to James Madison and former Morgantown High Grad and WVU QB, Curt Cignetti as their new coach. I never played with Curt, but I graduated with his sister Lisa and played with his younger brother Frank.

Neal Brown comes to WVU from Troy where he was a giant killer. A very good football coach with a program rebuild in front of him that he is more than capable of doing. The sold out Game starts at 2:00 here and Morgantown a heavy influx of people will be making their way to town in a few hours.

Michelle will not be here for the game, she is going back home to spend the day with her Grandmother (Gigi) and help celebrate her 98th birthday.

Have yourselves a great day and enjoy the game.

Big Ole Hairy Labor Day Weekend

Yes it is once again that time of the week that we all look foreword to, when we can take time to cease the labors for the week and take a little bit of needed time out to enjoy the fruits of those labors. It is once again the dawn of another weekend and a Big Ole Hairy Friday and a three day holiday one at that.

Michelle will be traveling up North tomorrow to eat some birthday cake and ice cream with her 98 year old Grandmother GiGi. I think her and her sister Chris are going up together.

Me, WVU Football season begins tomorrow. I plan on planting my butt in front of the TV around noon tomorrow and watch as the Neal Brown era officially begins. The Mountaineers will be playing Jeanetta's alma mater James Madison. James Madison is coached by the older brother of an old team mate of mine years ago. Curt Cignetti the former Morgantown High and WVU Quarterback is coaching our visitors. His father played a very big role in us getting our current stadium, and tomorrow will be the first time that a Cignetti actually coached in the new stadium although Curt played in it.

Have yourselves a great day, hoping it'll be a short one for me. '

Photo Flashback Thursday

Once a week I like to take a little bit of time out and look through some of the pictures that I have either taken, scanned or stolen off of the internet through the years and find one special picture that stands out. Little lost moments in time from yesterday caught with a Cameras lens and relived right here in my blog. Sometimes it's pretty easy to find that one special picture and sometimes it's not that easy, one thing it consistently is however is a whole lot of fun.

This weeks pic goes back to last weekend, Val is teaching my Great-niece Kynlea the traditional Hall Salute. It's just something everyone has done in front of a camera for decades, so much so that I once made a video about years ago.

Notice Val's right hand and what she is trying to teach this poor innocent little girl to do. LOL

Have yourselves a great day

Hump Day

Welcome to the one blog during the week when my big mouth honestly really doesn't have a camel turd to really say about anything. It's right dab in the middle of the work week and I honestly am struggling for any content whatso ever.

What could I talk about, oh I just paid $80 to replace all my ink cartridges in my printer at home. I may and I do say may, have printed 10 pages since the last time I changed the ink over a year ago. I really need to look into getting some kind of subscription to make the cost of ink cheaper. That is kind of ridiculous, especially since I rarely ever print anything.

Have yourselves a great day.

* I have written 5,746 blogs in the nearly 15 years since I first tested this thing called blogging out. I should have my 15th Anniversary of being a blogger in less than a month.

* I'm still looking for a cheap riding lawn mower, if anyone knows of any, let me know.

* Moke and Ang had a baby last week, Arabella Jean has joined the family.

* They were supposed to have moved Gerald to Mapleshire by today, not sure as to any specifics yet.

* I enjoyed an occasional weekend off, this past one was the first full weekend I have had off since late June.

* Have I ever mentioned I hate snow? Even with all the heat, I still hate snow.

* They STILL have not found Mountie Python, the 15' snake that escaped in Sabraton this summer.. He even has his own twitter account.

* I'm STILL converting some old VHS tapes to Digital Format for Trish. I really need to get back on this as I am such a procrastinator.

* Have yourselves a great day.

Softball

Whitetail Crossing Softball will once again hitting the field tonight for playoff softball game. We got rained out of our games on last Tuesday night and most people were not available for a Wednesday game, so they moved the next rounds to this evening.

We have to keep winning as we lost one game already in the double elimination tournament. For us to take home the crown tonight We'll have to win every game tonight. Win at 6, play at 7:00. Win at 7:00 play at 8:00. Win at 8:00 and play at 9:00. Win at 9:00 and we take home the Championship. If we are at full strength and on our game, we can beat anyone, if we are not it's going to be a short night and I will be bringing my gear downstairs to retire it for the 2019 season.

It's been a good year, but a tedious one as well with me working two jobs, traveling to the west coast and playing ball.

Have yourselves a great day, my weekend is over and it's time to get back at it.

Sunday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit yet once again on a quiet Sunday Morning, I'm up a little early watching nothing on the TV and just collecting my thoughts for the day as I clear the sleep out of my eyes and battle off the remaining effects from that lost sandman battle last night.

Had a good day yesterday, started off with me going over to Frank and Pat's. Frank wanted me to move some pictures off of a DVD and put them onto a laptop that they had bought for Layla. Nothing too difficult and did spend a little time conversing with them yesterday morning.

In the evening Michelle and I went to the Butterfly Release and Lantern Launch at Westover Park. John and Michelle Koon hold this event every year to raise money for Pediatric Brain Tumor Research at WVU. Most of the family made it out to support the cause last night and it was once again one heck of an event, one that we have attended for a number of years now.

Today is another day off for me, that's two in a row, just wait till next weekend. Going to do our shopping and errands, then I think Michelle is going to see Bethany and her new Baby who arrived yesterday. Bethany is one of Hayley's closest friends and someone who has been a part of the extended family for years.

Have yourselves a great day today, I'm going to.

Day Off

Here I sit in a quiet household, I woke up a while ago and just never laid back down to go back to sleep...yet I'm sitting here wasting time on the internet and contemplating laying back down.

Well my workload with RTI has been lifted as they transferred all my cases away fro a week to give a traveler a shot to see what they can do with the remaining lines. What does this mean for me? My first day off in 42 days (six weeks) or the day after we came back from San Diego. I'm not complaining, I was planning on taking some time off next weekend this just lets me do it a little earlier.

Tonight is the Johnny Koon Light up the Night Lantern and Butterfly Release. Michelle and I will once again be attending as we have done for the last (I forget how many) years since we started attending. My goal this year, win a raffle, any raffle on any item as I have never won any door prize. My niece Amy on the other hand, always seems to win half the door prizes. 2019 Objective, win something so I can trash talk Amy....lol

Michelle and I stopped in to see Gerald last night, he seemed to be in pretty good spirits as Hoppy was there visiting him.

We're still playing softball on the season, we won one and lost one last Monday night and got rained out on Tuesday night, so they next round of the playoffs are Monday night. Next loss and we are done for the year, so we'll see how long we play Monday Night.

Have yourselves a great day today, take a little extra money and come out and help up raise a few dollars for a good cause.

Big Ole Hairy Friday

Yes it is once again that time of the week that we all look foreword to, when we can take time to cease the labors for the week and take a little bit of needed time out to enjoy the fruits of those labors. It is once again the dawn of another weekend and a Big Ole Hairy Friday.

Just to give everyone a little heads up, tomorrow night will be the Light Up the Night Lantern and Butterfly Release at Wesmon Park. All proceeds will go to the Johnny Koon research fund at WVU Childrens Hospital. This event has gotten bigger and bigger with each and every passing year, plan your evening tomorrow evening to take a few pictures, release a few butterflies and have a whole lot of fun as we raise money for a good cause.

Would you believe it, after three consecutive weekends of traveling, Michelle is home this weekend. It's nice to be able to see my wife every once in a while, I kind of miss her when she is away and building a career.

Have yourselves a great day today, maker the most of it.

Little lost moments in time from yesterday caught with a Cameras lens and relived right here in my blog. Sometimes it's pretty easy to find that one special picture and sometimes it's not that easy, one thing it consistently is however is a whole lot of fun.

This weeks picture is actually a look back and laugh at technology. Notice the flip phone on my side? It's not a smart phone, years before the iPhone and other smart phones came out, we used this ancient technology called the flip phone. it pretty much had a single solitary purpose, it was a telephone. It wasn't a calendar, browser, camera, email client, picture viewer, video camera or outlet to Facebook. It was just simply a telephone that you wore on your hip or carried with you.

Funny thing is, this was a time that I traveled back and forth to Frostburg on a daily basis, each and every day I would get into the car and drive to my office on Frostburg State's campus and return that evening. This phone was my life saver and my communication device for when I had car trouble.

So long ago, but only yesterday.

Have yourselves a great day

Hump Day

Here we are yet once again at the time of the week where I have the most trouble coming up with any content or a recurring theme for this days blog. It's not a weekend, it's not a themed blog or the start or end of the week, it's just a blog that sits in the middle of the week that I write 4 days earlier.

You know when I started writing my blog, it was never pre-written. It was always written that day and it was about my life. Through the years it evolved with themes as it became syndicated and was pushed out to numerous readers each and every single day.

It started to get to the point where it seemed like an unpaid job, rather than something I enjoyed. Something I was obligated to do rather than something I wanted to do. It was a lot of fun for a while. I was documenting my life and the events of those around me and using it for historical reference.

Somewhere it went from being fun, to being an obligation. I know it has been an every day blog for 12 years out of the nearly 15 years that I have been writing it. You've read ramblings, brainfarts and even blog posts such as this one that really don't say much, but take up space and give you something to read.

Have yourselves a great day

Tuesday's Tidbits

* Monday done, we're hopefully still alive in Softball, good time for a tidbits.

* It has been 20,348 days since my birth, that's a lot of days and brings into perspective how short life really is.

* It has been 5,574 days since I graduated from WVU with a Degree in Geography. Speaking of WVU, they start classes tomorrow.

* 4,175 days ago Michelle and I had our first date together, 10,000 BC and Pizza Hut was the magical combination.

* 3,399 days ago I proposed to Michelle, in our back yard and yes she knew it was coming.

* It was 2,930 days ago in front of our closest friends and family, Michelle and I were married at the Marilla Center.

* I have now lived 562 days longer than my Dad did and I'm still going strong. Mom is still going strong and raising the bar every day for me to reach that milestone.

* I have 4,501 days to go until I retire, give or take a few hundred days here or there, like I said I love what I do and who knows when I would retire.

* The next Backyard brawl where we beat Pitt's ass in Football is only 1,108 days away. I'll settle for James Madison in a couple of weeks.

* There are 351 more days to go until Michelle and I celebrate our Ninth Wedding Anniversary together, it would have been 358 but next year is Leap Year.

* There are only 213 days until the start Spring 2020, my favorite season. It's the one I love the most. Summer with all the heat this year may have moved to third place behind fall. Winter, your ass is still in dead last place as I hate snow.

* 166 more days until Phil steps to center stage again for Groundhogs Day. Phil actually now has a girlfriend who has been hanging out with him in the back yard eating apples. She can climb trees.

* 150 more days to go until my Goodbye 2019 Blog is posted, where I relive the previous year through what was posted right here in my blog.

* I'm still looking for a cheap riding lawn mower, if anyone knows of any, let me know.

* In case no one remembered, today is Jean's Birthday.

* The local school students should be starting their first day of school today, take a little extra caution and allow yourselves a little more time as the school buses will be out in full force.

* WVU starts tomorrow, I'm not sure what I look forward to the least, WVU students coming back to town or snow.

* Have I ever mentioned I hate snow? Even with all the heat, I still hate snow. Can't stand that white trash that falls from the sky and makes our roads so untravelable.

* They STILL have not found Mountie Python, the 15' snake that escaped in Sabraton last week. He even has his own twitter account.

Monday

Well the thing that we refer to as the weekend is once again behind us, now it is time for me to switch gears and go from my field work job to my office job to start another fun filled week of doing what it is I do for a living.

Well first things first, our regular softball season has concluded and we will be starting the playoffs tonight and hopefully tomorrow. We have a game at 6:00 tonight and then at 7:00 irregardless of the first game. Win and we are in the winners bracket and lose and we are in the losers bracket, it's a double elimination tournament and we are hoping to be playing tomorrow night. The boys of Summer are seeing their final days as we close out the season and get ready to put the gear up for the year.

Looking at my office schedule, I have a Morale Meeting (I'm on that committee) this afternoon and then an engineering meeting tomorrow afternoon. Nothing too busy or complex, something tells me I'll be doing some field work with the GPS this week, but mostly working on creating a validation process for the project I traveled to Las Vegas last year to a presentation for.

Have yourselves a great day, and wish up luck.

Sunday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit on a quiet Sunday morning, I'm up as usual watching something or another on the boob tube and collecting my thoughts for the day. Michelle has some ham bones on the stove simmering and has a big batch of green beans she is going to prepare today.

Speaking of Michelle she is back from Letart Falls where they laid her 101 year old grandmother to rest finally. She passed away earlier this year, but they were waiting until the family reunion back where she was originally from to finally take her home as Michelle said. Michelle was very close to this set of Grandparents, spent a lot of time with them growing up and has many fond memories of them. She was also able to connect with a few long lost family members. She was glad to be home last night though.

My day, shopping, bread store and chores and then back to work today traveling down south. I'm going to have a very busy week, hopefully after this week things will start to slow down a little bit for me. Softball should be over with, my weekday RTI days should be over with and I can start shutting down and relaxing a little bit until we get started again in October.

Picked Mom up from the hospital yesterday and ran her home, when I called to verify if she was there, she was already tired and worn down and ready to go home and just go to sleep for a few hours.

Have yourselves a great day.

Saturday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit once again in a quiet household, I'm up watching who knows what and collecting my thoughts for the day. Michelle is in Charleston still and will be heading to Letart Falls later this morning to attend a family reunion.

Me, my dad includes me traveling South to work for RTI. I was in the same location last Sunday, and will be there all weekend and most likely next weekend as well, but we'll have to see how that all goes. I am doing cleanup, so that makes it a little easier as opposed to a first visit by a FI.

After that I have to head to the laundry mat to dry clothes and somewhere try to write next weeks blogs before I go to the hospital this afternoon to pick up Mom and take her home from visiting Gerald.

I have a full day ahead of me to say the least as I hold down the fort for the third of three weekends of Michelle traveling. She'll be home next weekend and then the following weekend will go back home for the day to visit GiGi as it will be her Birthday weekend.

In case you haven't noticed, the student are back and back in force. I think this is the first day that students can actually get into the dorms, so traveling around town could be a little chaotic today as we have a number of visitors who may not know where they are going. Allow a little extra time for travel, especially around campus.

Have yourselves a great day

Big Ole Hairy Friday

Yes it is once again that time of the week that we all look foreword to, when we can take time to cease the labors for the week and take a little bit of needed time out to enjoy the fruits of those labors. It is once again the dawn of another weekend and a Big Ole Hairy Friday.

It is my third of three weekends when Michelle is away on travel for work. Only tomorrow she is going to go to a family reunion in Latart Falls Ohio, just right across the river from Ravenswood. Some really good news for her company that I have hinted at previously. They now have a signed contract with Pepsi Cola to do the nation wide hiring of all Pepsi drivers. This was the big company I have hinted around and the big contract. It's Pepsi-Cola and they are setting up rooms at employment offices at states all around the country to interview drivers. I said it was big, I wasn't kidding. She also got a nice raise and a few other perks as the office manager. She is a big asset and they acknowledge what I already knew.

My plans, I'm working again. I'll probably head down to address the two segments in the Fairmont area as my local stuff is pretty much run down and not really worth a weekend day to work. Let me travel and make some money with some new places to visit rather than just spinning my wheels here locally and not getting anything done.

Be careful around town, our population is growing and there is about to be a bunch of idiots invade the town until next May. It's move in weekend.

Have yourselves a great day

Sometimes it's pretty easy to find that one special picture and sometimes it's not that easy, one thing it consistently is however is a whole lot of fun.

This weeks pic is also a plug, it's from the light up night for the Johnny Koon Pediatric Brain Tumor Research. This was from three years ago and I grabbed a shot of a lantern going up in the air. Last year they raised $5,565.00 for the cause. He is getting a wing named after him at the new Children's Hospital.

So why this pic, why this topic? Because it is coming up in the near future. I'm hearing rumors of August 24th, but that can't be confirmed yet until an official announcement is made. So start saving your pennies and I have to figure out a way to beat my niece Amy who somehow manages to win every door prize every year (I have never won a single prize in any year) and beat her strategy to win something. I thought we were going to do it last year, but she still managed to basically win everything. My goal this year is to beat her in something, I don't care what it is, just something so I can trash talk to her. =)

Have yourselves a great day

RIP Coach DeAntonis

On August first, my old High School Wrestling Coach Robert "Big Wood" DeAntonis had reportedly passed away. His Funeral was last Wednesday and I briefly stopped in and paid my respects to my old mentor last Tuesday evening.

Coach DeAntonis was a big influence on my life, he taught me obviously how to grapple, as it was my first love in High School. I first went out for wrestling my Junior Year to prepare for my Senior year of playing football, but it turned out I spent my Senior Year of playing football preparing for my Senior Wrestling season. Coach DeAntonis, or Big Wood as referred to him since my team mate and his son Bobby was "Lil Wood".

I still saw him for years after graduation, I even went in to assist coach for a few times for the next couple of years as some of my old team mates were finishing up their careers. My career was over with, but I still had the desire to wrestle that he had instilled in me. The last time I saw him was at a WVU baseball game a few years ago, I had always asked about Bobby every time I saw him and this time he just smiled and pointed to his left and asked me if I knew who this young man was. It was Bobby home from his long Military career.

I had the honor of wrestling for this man. The man across the office from me at work also wrestled for Coach a decade earlier, so we were always talking about him, either wrestling stories or just in General. Coach is still in the national high school wrestling records as the coach of the Heavyweight with the fastest pin. An honor he still held up to his passing and it may live forever.

You are missed coach, you influenced me in a very positive way and I thank you for being my coach and my friend.

RIP Big Wood

Monday

Well that fun filled thing that kids refer to as the weekend is over with, for me it was just adding to the consecutive days worked streak. Now it is time to start it all over again and start another week of doing what it is we do for a living.

Looking at my week ahead, I have a couple safety meetings at work, other than that I should be out and about with the GPS unit collecting some data points to establish spatial integrity of features. I've already written a document at work to explain all of that in layman's terms with some pictures and what I want to do to establish a confidence factor of pipe features as to where they are actually located as opposed to where they are georeferenced from non spatial CAD drawings.

Our softball regular season has completed I think, we should know something today as the first place team who we were scheduled to play last Tuesday didn't show up and now want to reschedule. The regular season ends today one way or the other as playoffs are scheduled to start. I'm up in the air as to when that starts, who we play or what day even.

Have yourselves a great day

Here I sit in a quiet household, Michelle is down in Charleston still and will return sometime today. She went down for the Girls Night Out event at the Charleston Civic Center where her company is one of the big sponsors for the event. I'm still here waking up and trying to get my butt motivated and out the door.

My day, grocery shopping, weekly house chores and then out the door and back to work in the field for RTI. In other words I'm holding down the ship as Michelle gets ready to make that trip back to Morgantown today.

I pretty much finished up the Morgantown area yesterday, and told my Boss it is ready for cleanup. I'm going to be traveling south doing some clean up myself for a segment that someone has already worked. Clean up should go a lot quicker that working the segment, cleanup is usually just one or two visits to a location that a previous FI has already visited. Some couldn't be found home, some refusals and a couple new ones. New people, new segment, new challenges.

In did run Mom home from the hospital yesterday, giving my sisters a break. Saturday afternoon is usually the only time during the week that I actually have free time and it has been like that since pretty much March. She is getting excited about moving to Unity Manor which is probably going to be in the very near future.

Have yourselves a great day

Saturday Morning Rambling

Here I sit on a quiet Saturday Morning, I'm up a little later than  normal, but still awake before everyone else. I'm watching Beerfest and collecting my thoughts for the day.

It's going to be another busy one for me today. Michelle is heading to Charleston this morning for an event her company is holding for the YWCA. Everyone from her office is heading south for the event this evening. She'll return sometime tomorrow morning/afternoon.

Jim and Chris are having their Coca Cola Memorabilia and Coins auction at the Woodland United Methodist Church this evening. A listing of some of the items up for auction are posted HERE. It begins at 6:00 PM this evening, don't miss it.

My day, I'm back out in the field trying to get some interviews this morning and this afternoon for RTI. I'm still working here but I have two segments a county down and I just found out yesterday she wants me to travel to the county to the east on the far end to do some cleanup work. I'm doing what I can do, and that is about all I can do. I've had other commitments this past week including a Softball game, attending my High School Wrestling Coaches Funeral and taking my wife out for our Anniversary. This evening I'm taking a turn of taking my Mother home from the hospital where Gerald has been for a few weeks after I finish working and laundry.

It's going to be a busy one to say the least, not to mention I have to write all of next weeks blogs (I always do it on Saturday) this afternoon. We'll get it all done, as this is the second of three traveling weekends for Michelle. She returns to Charleston Thursday night and then goes to Letart Falls for a Family reunion on Saturday to distribute her Grandmothers ashes.

Did I mention that next weekend is Move In weekend for the WVU students? Where did the Summer go?

Have yourselves a great day.

Fridays are always the most fun for me, at work my group always gets together and orders Pizza Al's on Fridays. It's a day I know I'm going to be tired after lunch from all the carbs I consume.

I do listen to the radio on Friday Mornings, if nothing else I manage to turn on WAJR and listen to Hoppy's Kerchival's Steam Release. It's something he does at the end of his broadcast week and it's a lot of fun to listen to.

Jim and Chris are scheduled to have an Auction tomorrow down in Osage. They have a store down there and that is where they run their auctions out of now. It's called the P&P Auctions Coca Cola Memorabilia Auction. If you like to collect Coca Cola Collectibles, this will be the place to be tomorrow night.

Michelle who usually works the auction, has to travel to Charleston for a work related event and most likely as of press time won't be making it.

Have yourselves a great day

Photo Flashback Thursday

Once a week I like to take a little bit of time out and look through some of the pictures that I have either taken, scanned or stolen off of the internet through the years and find one special picture that stands out. Little lost moments in time from yesterday caught with a Cameras lens and relived right here in my blog. Sometimes it's pretty easy to find that one special picture and sometimes it's not that easy, one thing it consistently is however is a whole lot of fun.

This weeks pic is one of a couple of my sisters and all of our spouses together. It was taken this past Christmas at my sister Terri's, this may have been the first time that there was a picture taken of my Mom's kids and their spouses all together.

Always a good time when we all get together and Christmas Eve has always been a special occasion to me during my life. It's seen happiness and sorrow, food, get together and a number of other memorable events.

Have yourselves a great day

Hump Day

Well that is two days down and we have two more ahead of us after today. What does that mean? All we have to do is cross over this dreaded noon time hump and we will be able to see the dawn of another weekend just on the other side of a Photo Flashback.

Let's see, Wednesdays blogs are usually the ones I write last on weekends. With such a busy schedule I write Monday-Friday's blogs on Saturday afternoon and then close it out with my Wednesday blog as my last one.

The last couple of weeks have been a couple brain dead brain farts where I put little to no effort into them.

This week however I have sent and found myself a little puzzle and have posted it with my blog. One that could be considered very thought provoking and could either require a lot of in depth thought or it's just something that is obvious.

Do you want the answer? It's a simple one and not one that requires a whole of of deductive reasoning, it's the letter E.

Have yourselves a great day

Tuesday's Tidbits

* My Monday is over with, the Blue Footed Bobbies called me last night with a message from the Sloth. Do a tidbits today.

* It has been 20,337 days since my birth, that fateful morning 21 years ago (by my calendar) when I first entered this world.

* It has been 5,560 days since I graduated from WVU with a Degree in Geography. There will be a new group arriving to start their careers in a little over a week. People in the honors dorms should start arriving Saturday.

* 4,161 days ago Michelle and I had our first date together, it was truly the start of the rest of my life that night.

* 3,385 days ago I proposed to Michelle, she knew it was coming so it was no big surprise, but I had to make sure she was going to say yes.

* It was 2,916 days ago in front of our closest friends and family, Michelle and I were married at the Marilla Center. We feasted and that was an understatement.

* I have now lived 548 days longer than my Dad did, makes you realize how short his life was.

* I have 4,515 days to go until I retire, give or take a few hundred days here or there, like I said I love what I do and who knows when I would retire.

* The next Backyard brawl where we beat Pitt's ass in Football is only 1,122 days away. I'm ready to hear the altered version of Sweet Caroline.

* There are 366 more days to go until Michelle and I celebrate our Ninth Wedding Anniversary together, seems like only yesterday.

* There are only 228 days until the start Spring 2020, or I could just move to San Diego where the weather is awesome 365 a year.

* 180 more days until Phil steps to center stage again for Groundhogs Day. He's been hanging out around here as of late.

* 164 more days to go until my Goodbye 2019 Blog is posted, where I relive the previous year through what was posted right here in my blog. I guess I should get back to writing some kind of meaningful content.

* There are 140 more shopping days left until Christmas 2019, you have plenty of time to prepare but lets enjoy the now and not worry about December.

* My next Anniversary of my 21st Birthday will be in 118 more days, this should be about my 35th Anniversary of it, or would it be the 14th Anniversary of the 21st Anniversary of my 21st Birthday?

* I have written 5,726 blogs in the almost 15  years since I first tested this thing called blogging out.

* No drone flights this weekend, do you believe that? Even had nice weather and time off.

* I'm still looking for a cheap riding lawn mower, if anyone knows of any, let me know.

* Michelle will be traveling to Charleston this weekend for work. She will be going down on Saturday and will return Sunday Morning.

* I am going to say this and I still mean this, I hate snow.

* They STILL have not found Mountie Python, the 15' snake that escaped in Sabraton last week. He even has his own twitter account.

* I'm STILL converting some old VHS tapes to Digital Format for Trish. I really need to get back on this as I am such a procrastinator.

* Have yourselves a great day.

Happy Anniversary to Us

August 6, 2011
It was eight magical years ago today that Michelle and I celebrated the beginning of our Marriage. I day that took some time in planning, and turned out to be the happiest day of my life.

It's been seven wonderful years, we have traveled this globe together, so far making 6 trips to the Caribbean we've went to Canada together, St Louis, San Diego, Cleveland, Washington DC and a few other places. Places that I doubt either of us would have seen without the other. I've seen the world and had her right beside my side.

She has been my rock, she is my heart and soul and I am so fortunate that she came back into my life and fulfilled it. I am the luckiest man on the face of this earth in my opinion.

What are we doing for our Anniversary, well we both have very busy schedules for work, but we are going to take a little time out this evening hopefully if Michelle can fit me into her schedule. Hopefully we can go out to dinner.

To my wonderful wife Michelle, all I can simply say is thank you for saving me and making my life full. I love you with all my heart. Happy Eighth Anniversary.

Back To Work

It is once again that time of the week when we take our collective noses and stick them back onto the grindstone for another fun filled week of doing what it is we do to earn a living. My world however it's just another day and the start of another billing cycle on one job.

I've got a few busy weeks coming up, working at the office today and then playing Softball this evening weather permitting. Of all the years I have played Softball at BOPARC, I would have to say that this is the year that I am actually the least involved with a team. I've missed a few games this year, and we have a makeup double header tomorrow night but it is mine and Michelle's Wedding Anniversary. I would rather spend it with my wife that I rarely get to see anymore.

The weather looks to be more of the same that we have had, hot and humid for the foreseeable forecast. It wouldn't be so bad if it were not for the fact that I'm working outside lugging equipment around on both jobs. I could use a few lower 70° days. =)

Have yourselves a great day

Sunday Morning

Here I sit once again on a quiet Sunday Morning, I'm up after Michelle and she has been outside reading for about an hour and a half and my lazy butt has been slowly waking up. I know it's going to be a nice day, both of our lovable cats Sophie and the immortal Peanut were both itching to sneak outside with Mommy.

There was an absolute tragedy in El Paso Texas yesterday with another mass shooting at a WalMart. 20 people are dead and 26 have been injured. The 21 year old suspect is in custody and they have released his Manifesto and it sounds like someone who spends too much time listening to entertainment political media. It is an absolute tragedy and it sad that events like this are becoming just a little too commonplace.

Michelle is back home, she had a great time at the Birthday Party. I can tell she spent a few hours by the pool the last couple of days as Jon and Laura have a large in ground pool at their home. She came home last night in a great mood and you could tell she was refreshed and ready for the next weekly challenge that we know as work.

Speaking of work, I'm out in the field once again today. I anticipated a big day yesterday and it never came to fruition. There was a Girls Softball Tournament, community yard sale and people either were just not home or they were busy doing something with guests. Kind of hard to maintain confidentiality which is something we are obligated to do with so many people around. I was going to take today off, but since yesterday was such a bust, I'm going to try again today.

Have yourselves a great day.

Saturday

Here I sit in a quiet household once again, I'm up early as usual collecting my thoughts for the day and attempting to find something on the TV. I might start streaming a movie.

Michelle is up north for little Jonny's birthday party, she left yesterday and spent last night up there so she can give Jon and Laura a hand setting up for the party.

Me, I'm out working yet once again, no rest for the wicked. I thought I had this segment pretty much worked down and then BOOM, she sent me two more segments that I am going to have to travel to on weekends. Fortunately, it's only a bout half as far as the segment I traveled to and worked last quarter and a traveler has already worked it. I get to go through and do a little clean up work. That should take up the next few weekends.

I'm also home holding down the fort, I did the Sam's Club shopping yesterday and am going to finish up laundry today after I get done working. No rest for the wicked, but that is OK, I guess I'm kind of used to it.

Well this will be the first of three weekends that I will be holding down the fort as Michelle is traveling. She's heading up north tomorrow for little Jonny Paugh's Birthday party. I would say where Jon and Laura live, but I always tend to get the city wrong so I'll just say up north...lol

My plans for this weekend will be shopping, working and doing the laundry as Michelle is away. No big plans made as of yet, or I could invite the Giraffes over and have a party while Michelle is gone. =)

Have yourselves a great day

Photo Flashback Thursday

Once a week I like to take a little bit of time out and look through all the old pictures that I have stored on my computer or sticking around on the internet someplace. Little lost moments of time that were captured and stored so I could look at them at another time and relive them. Sometimes this is a pretty easy task, and sometimes it's not so easy, it is however always a whole lot of fun.

Since I am pre-writing many of my Vacation Blogs this week, I decided to relive one of those moments. This is a picture that I captured of my lovely wife Michelle at Margaritaville in Grand Turk last year. We had never been to one and there was one at our first port of call so we tried it.

This is a picture of my wife Michelle sucking down a very potent Margarita as we were waiting on our food. We had a couple Cheeseburgers in Paradise and the best calamari that I have ever had, of course we are in the Caribbean so it stands to reason.

We still have those glasses as they were souvenirs, they are sitting in our living room living it up with my mechanical parrot that talks and sings "Hot Hot Hot".

Have a great day.
