Tuesday's Tidbits

* Monday is completed and I'm still out listing for RTI, still sounds like a great reason to do a tidbits.

* It has been 20,663 days since I first entered this world as we know it. I've love every day of being here and I hope I have made a few of you happy with knowing me.

* It has been 5,889 days since I graduated from WVU with a Degree in Geography, specifically GIS.

* 4,490 days ago Michelle and I had our first date together, seems like just yesterday.

* 3,714 days ago I proposed to Michelle, 4:00 in the morning in the back yard.

* It was 4,142 days ago in front of our closest friends and family, Michelle and I tied the knot with the help of a co-worker of hers.

* I have now lived 877 days longer than my Dad did and I'm still going.

* I have 4,214 days to go until I retire, give or take a few hundred days here or there.

* The next Backyard Brawl where we beat Pitt's ass in Football is only 793 days away.

* There are 402 days until Michelle and I head to Pittsburgh to see Reba in concert. It was postponed this March to July and now they are pushing the tour until next year. It'll be mine and Michelle's 10th wedding anniversary.

* There are only 355 days until the start Spring 2021!!!!!

* 217 more days until Phil steps to center stage again for Groundhogs Day. He must be back from his vacation as I have seen him in the back yard this weekend.

* 201 more days to go until my Goodbye 2020 Blog is posted, this should be an interesting one.

* There are 177 more shopping days left until Christmas 2020.

* My next Anniversary of my 21st Birthday will be in 153 more days.

* There are 35 more days to go until Michelle and I celebrate our Ninth Wedding Anniversary together.

* I have written 6,069 blogs in the now 15 1/2 years since I started blogging.

* No drone flights this weekend, but that has pretty much been my recurring theme this year with that. I do have a plan to fly Hayley's wedding venue sometime this spring for her.

* Michelle did the work travel last week, now I am away doing it. She was closer than I was to home, but I'm seeing more remote parts of our state that I've never been to (hint) check the map for where I am at.

* Michelle will be continuing training today she is on her Sophomore classes for this new indepth accounting software that they have purchased. It took her about a week and some frustration just to complete her Freshman course and she has a degree in accounting if that tells you how indepth this training is.

* New quarter was supposed to start for RTI tomorrow, we have NOT been cleared to start so we will not be doing any screening and interviewing yet. Listing, what I am doing today, just involves me driving around and I don't have to get out of my car.

* Still putting in for jobs left and right, there are some jobs opening up and I'm hoping to hear something from one of them. I have two possible ones on hold, one in Huntsville Alabama and one in Charleston, I haven't heard anything from either of them (in terms of a no thank you) so the Corona Virus must be causing a delay.

* Corona Virus, you can still track it but it's losing it's steam a little.

* They STILL have not found Mountie Python, the 15' snake that escaped in Sabraton last summer. He is becoming a Morgantown legend now.

* I'm STILL converting some old VHS tapes to Digital Format for Trish. I really need to get back on this as I am such a procrastinator.

* Hi hi hi ho

Monday

All good things must come to an end, and that does in fact include those fun filled things we refer to as weekends. Now it's time to stick out collective noses back onto the grindstone for another fun filled week of doing what we do for a living.

I'll be heading out today to do some listing in what is my largest segment and the most furthest away. I waited until they approved travel as this is going to be a couple day venture to list this segment for RTI, so I will not be back home this evening and will instead be staying in a hotel a few hours away from home. This is the last segment I have to list and it is the one we had to put off until the very end due to it's size and proximity to my location. I have a feeling I will be driving a lot of dirt roads today to say the least.

On a side note, the Softball team plays their second game of the season tonight and I will once again miss the game. This is the 2nd game this season and the 2nd one I've missed due to working. Good luck to the guys tonight, hopefully they can get the Win and I can join them next week for my 2020 debut.

Have yourselves a great day

Sunday

Goff Building
Here I sit yet once again, Peanutless and without my co-author, so I'm going to try to put my brain in high gear as I'm flying solo this morning. I'm up streaming some Gordon Ramsey show (something about 24 hours) and collecting my thoughts for the day.

Yesterday Michelle and I went to the Goff Building in Clarksburg to see how her office is coming along, they are really doing a great job on it and I realized that her office with her big storefront window (her office used to be a bank) looks out into the street and will basically be the prime location when they have the next Italian Heritage Festival in Clarksburg. The headquarters for it is right across the street and they are right next door to the Courthouse where the main stage is always placed.  Her Office (they bought the entire building) is the lower left front of the image.

On the way back from Clarksburg we stopped at Almost Heaven Desserts in Bridgeport for some treats. I got some Canolli's and they were by far the best I have ever had. This place is amazing, expensive but quite amazing. I guess they are the ones that supply all the desserts to Oliverios Restaurants.

It rained yesterday and it looks like it is going to be similar today, so our grass still has not been cut, but we'll get around to it eventually. It's not a tedious task like it used to be.

Have a great and relaxing Sunday.

Saturday Morning Peanutless Ramblings

Here I sit once again in a quiet Household, my co-author Peanut is still in bed and I am once again flying solo this morning. I have something streaming on TUBI on the TV behind me, but not sure what it is as I'm still waking up.

Not sure if we have any plans for the day, I know we haven't cut grass in a few weeks, but it's still really not that high due to the lack of rainfall recently. Then again with the high probability of rain this weekend that may just have to wait.

Not sure if our bi-weekly trip to Rural King to get bird food is warranted yet, Michelle bought three bags the last time we went and those little aviary slobs have been sharing with squirrels, chipminks, Groundhogs and a few other animals. I think we are starting to develop a zoo in the back yard. Yesterday morning I had to hold Peanut as I let her out as there were so many animals near the door when I let her out. She's protective of her territory and I gave them a head start to get away from our little co-author/hunter feline queen.

Have yourselves a great day and stay safe, this COVID-19 is starting to spike again.

Big Ole Hairy Friday

Yes it is once again that time of the week that we all look foreword to, when we can take time to cease the labors for the week and take a little bit of needed time out to enjoy the fruits of those labors. It is once again the dawn of another weekend and a Big Ole Hairy Friday....or something like that.

Michelle is home after a couple of days on the road working in Canonsburg, we held the fort down as she was out earning a living. Looks like I may be traveling early next week. One thing I did officially learn is that we will not be starting a new quarter with RTI on Tuesday. It is the first and it is the start of a new quarter, but they are not releasing work in West Virginia at this time due to the Corona Virus. I will go travel early next week and list one more segment, but that could be it for a while.

My agenda for the day? I'll be doing the Sam's Club shopping and heading to the Laundromat to dry clothes. We're probably going to try cutting grass sometime soon, but it's not that high and really doesn't need it yet. I know we both like riding around on the lawn tractor, so there is always that...lol

Have yourselves a great day and the start of a greater weekend.

Photo Flashback Thursday

Once a week I like to take a little bit of time out and look through all of my pictures that I have stored on my computer. Little lost moments of time that I like to write and reflect about and spend a little bit of time reliving. Sometimes it's a pretty easy task and sometimes it's not so easy, it is however always a whole lot of fun.

This weeks picture goes back a number of years, back to when Gary was living in Masontown and was training for the US Olympic Cigarette Smoking team. He was going for the advanced division of smoking multiple ones at once through multiple entrances.

We had a cookout that day and everyone showed up and had a good time. Gary was the grillmaster and did one heck of a job training and cooking.

Monday

Here we go again, that fun filled thing that we refer to as the weekend has now completed and we are staring at another week of doing what it is that we do for a living.

I'll be busy starting this week with RTI. Today I am traveling down south to do some more listing. It's not too far and it is my closest segment I have listed beside the one I did in my county. It looks pretty large and straight forward and I should be able to knock it out in a day.

Later this week I'll be traveling and staying overnight to list a segment I tried a few weeks ago, but it's a little far away and it's quite large. It's going to involve an overnight stay as this is a couple of hours from here.

I will be getting my third quarter materials for the interviewing portion of the job this week as well, so I'll be preparing lead letters and setting up to start next Tuesday on that portion of the job, provided we do get the go ahead. I've got two very large segments, the two largest by far that I have ever done, so I'm going to be busy for a few weeks to say the least working for RTI.

We should receive some official information today about our cruise, it's been cancelled so we need to explore our options as to what we are going to do.

Have a great day

Happy Fathers Day

Here I sit on a quiet Father's Day Morning, my co-author and cat daughter is more worried about if there are any treats in her bowl and if the patio door is open so she take take her butt outside and frolic.

Father's Day is another holiday (along with Mother's Day) whose origins are from North Central West Virginia. The first observance of it was in Fairmont, West Virginia even though Spokane Washington tries to lay the claim to it, even though the Fairmont Service pre-dates it.

Anyways Happy Father's Day to all the special Dad's out there today, my Dad is no longer around but he is still remembered on this day as he helped father a total of six of us, who now all have spoken to each other one way or the other. Jonathan and Gary spoke on the phone last week and that we the last sibling that had to connect to the long lost one.

No big plans for the day, I think we are going to cookout on the grill and just enjoy time with our feline and aviary kids.

Have a great day.

Happy Birthday West Virginia

Happy West Virginia Day, it was on this day in 1863 that the State of West Virginia was born. We told Virginia screw you we out of here and formed our own state.

Other than that here Peanut and I are in the early Morning, I'm here at the desk and she is at the door contemplating how she can escape and take her butt outside.

Plans for Michelle and I today, your guess will be as good as mine as we don't have anything on the agenda for the day. Maybe cut some grass, but it's really not that high yet and doesn't really need to be cut. Of course that may be the best time to do it.

We did receive some heartbreaking but expected news yesterday. Carnival has cancelled all cruises until the middle of September, and that included the one we were booked on. We'll receive information on Monday as to what our options will be. I know one is a full refund and the other is you apply it towards a future cruise and they give you $600 of on board credit, but you have to book it before the end of the year and it has to be taken by December 2022. I think we are leaning towards the latter option.

Have yourselves a great day and Happy Birthday West Virginia.

Well I have had a busy week to say the least, I've traveled a couple of days this week working for RTI. It was just short of a couple of hour trip each way and I had to make two trips there this week. I've got some more listing to do early next week and then I have one where it will require overnight travel in the next couple of weeks as well. That should be it for the listing as a new quarter starts July 1st if we get approved.

Today it's going to be a shopping and laundromat kind of day for me as we start to enter into the fun filled weekend. Not too much excitement on my end, but you never know anything can change at the drop of a hat.

Have yourselves a great friday and the start of a great and relaxing weekend.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish my great niece Erica Jean Nicholson a very Happy Birthday 16th today.

It's hard to believe that this young lady has grown up in the blink of an eye and became a teenager, but that was last year, if my math is correct she should be turning 16 years old today. We had her Sweet 16 Birthday party this past weekend.

Erica is turning into a beautiful and intelligent young woman and it is a pleasure to be around. She likes fishing and riding dirt bikes.

If you happen to see Erica Jean today, make sure that you take a little bit of time out and wish her a very Happy Birthday today.

Happy Birthday Erica, I hope you have a wonderful Birthday.

Photo Flashback Thursday

Once a week I like to take a little bit of time out, time to look at some of the 30,000+ images that I have either captured with a Camera, Scanned or just simply stolen off the internet. Little lost moments in time that I post up and relive tight here for everyone while I try to recall the moments around that image. Sometimes it's pretty easy to find that image and sometimes it's a challenge, although one thing it always is is a whole lot of fun for me.

This weeks pic is an attempted recreation of a 1978 photo we had taken. It was the first photo ever taken of the five of us all at one time. That is the top picture and it was taken at a family cookout at my Grandmother's when Terri and Kim came to stay and visit.

The bottom picture is just from this past Sunday, at Erica's Sweet 16 Birthday Party and we took the opportunity to get another picture of us all together. It's actually the first one from this decade as we have the above picture from the 1970's, Pam's wedding photo from the 1980's, Dad's funeral during the 1990's, Christmas Eve at Klaer Lodge for the 2000's and Christmas Eve at Terri's for the 2010's.

Amy pulled the top picture up so that we were all in the same position.

Have yourselves a great day, change the world if you can.

Monday

The fun filled thing that we refer to as the weekend is once again over with, now it is time to take your collective noses back onto that grindstone for another fun filled week of doing what you do.

My week ahead includes me traveling either today or tomorrow to the western part of the state to do some more listing for RTI. Not sure at press time whether I am going today or tomorrow, but tomorrow Michelle will be traveling to Canonsburg and working out of that office and may even spend the night up there as they company is all going out for steak dinners for meeting the goal of getting 1,000 linkedin followers. However for me it will either be today or tomorrow and it's a couple of hours away.

If I don't travel today, I'll spend it putting in yet more resumes as I am still trying to find full time employment. There are a couple of things in the works, but this Corona Virus has just thrown a big monkey wrench into everything. It can get as little frustrating at times, as I prefer to be productive in one way or the other. I've enjoyed the break, but I am ready to get out and start making a difference in this world once again.

Have yourselves a great day today, do something positive to change the world.

Sunday

Here I sit once again on a quiet Sunday Morning, I hear my co-author Peanut up and running around somewhere, but she has not made an appearance at her work station to help me write this blog as of yet.

We had a pretty good day yesterday, we celebrated Erica and Josh's Birthdays yesterday up at the Mountainview Jamboree. It was nice to get a chance to get together with everyone for the first time in a long while.

There was a little surprise that we got, my Brother Gary made it into town to surprise Erica for her 16th Birthday and we managed to get another one of those rare sibling photos where the 5 of us in West Virginia are together all at the same place and the same time. I had called Jonathan and he and Gary had the opportunity to speak to each other for the first time, it was there initial meeting so now Jonathan has now spoken to all of his siblings.

Today is going to be our typical day our chores and shopping. Nothing special planned for the day so it looks to be the boringest day of the weekend.

Have a great day

Saturday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit yet once again on a quiet Saturday Morning, the TV behind me is actually silent and I'm thinking about laying back down and catching a few more Z's. My Co-Author Peanut is no where to be found so I'm flying solo again.

Yesterday evening Michelle and I went out to dinner for the first time in months. Jim and Chris had sold some property and needed someone to Notarize some paperwork so they asked Michelle since she is a Notary. Afterwards we all headed out to Los Mariachi's for a nice dinner. It was a good evening to say the least.

Today we will be heading up the Kingwood Pike as this afternoon we are going to be celebrating Erica's Sweet 16 Birthday as well as her brother Josh's Birthday. I know Val has been planning this for a couple of months, and it will be the first family get together we have had in some time with the exception of last night's dinner. It'll be nice to see everyone.

Have a great day, make it memorable.

I've actually had a pretty busy week so far, listing for RTI has kept me busy this week to say the least. It feels good to get out of the house for extended periods of time and being productive on top of that. Still got some more listing to do, but my two closest segments are completed and now it's just waiting on travel approval to address one segment and possibly two that are not that close.

Michelle I think is going to take a trip to her office today, they are starting to put walls up and it's starting to take shape. I got her out of the house a little yesterday as I think she was starting to show signs of cabin fever.

For me a trip to the laundromat is my my agenda for the day, everything else that we usually do was done yesterday as well as a few other things. Like I said it's been a busy week for me, I may just relax most of the day.

Have yourselves a great day today.

This weeks pic goes back to I think 1974, it was my second year playing Little League and the first time I was not coached by my Dad. I was the superstar Second Baseman for Citizens Savings and Loans. Would you believe I pulled off an unassisted Triple Play this year. Triple plays are rare, but when they are unassisted it is more rare and yours truley had one during that season.

Time does go by too quickly, as it seems like that was just yesterday. Baseball is not a sport I watch a whole lot, but it is the sport I have played more than any other in my life, especially when you take Softball into consideration.

Have yourselves a great day.

Going to be a Long One

This is going to be a long day to say the least, I have a few hundred miles to travel and probably 4-5 hours worth of round trip travel to go list a segment for RTI today. What a hell of a way to start a new week...lol

I'll be traveling around 100 miles to the South just to work today, in a big segment muchless, then turning around and driving another 100+ miles home, so to say this is going to be a long day is going to be an understatement. It's the biggest segment I have to list, it covers the most area and it is the furthest away of the 4 that I have to list (one done).

Other than that Michelle is working from home today, and probably the majority of the week as they are still working on getting her office set up and remodeled in Clarksburg. Monday is usually the day that I put in most of my resumes for the week, but I'll do that tomorrow instead of today since tomorrow is election day and I'm not going to be traveling.

We BBQ'd on the grill for the first time this season yesterday, brats were the meat of choice and they were awesome. It's hard to beat that BBQ'd taste.

Have yourselves a great day

Sunday Morning Ramblings

Here I sit once again in a quiet household, my co-author is once again still sleeping somewhere and is no where to be found. Don't Mess with the Zohan is streaming on Netflix and I'm here collecting my thoughts for the day.

Our agenda for the day is going to be like every other Sunday, we'll head out and do our shopping first thing then home to do our chores for the week. Just going to be a typical Sunday morning so to speak.

This afternoon I'll be preparing for going out to work for RTI tomorrow. I have another segment to list in the middle of the state and it is going to be the most challenging of all of the ones that I have. It's going to be my largest and I have absolutely no idea what I am going to be getting myself into, so that is why I'll be researching and preparing today.

Yesterday was a pretty good day, we got the oil changed on Ice (Michelle's car) and made a trip to Rural King for some wild bird food to throw in the multiple feeders that are in the trees in the back yard. Other than that it was just a lazy and relaxing warm spring Saturday.

Have yourselves a great day.

Happy Birthday Hayley Dawn Collins (next year it will be Ash)

I would like to take this opportunity to wish this lovely young lady a very Happy Birthday today.
I am proud to call this young lady my Daughter, she is a hard worker who is not afraid to work, tackle any task and just take on the world. I've watched her grow up from a rebellious young teen to an inspirational woman.

We are now less than a year away from her and Tyler's Wedding day, so there will be a lot of planning that will be going on in the next 365 days.

Not sure what her plans are for the Day, she does work a lot and has to make for Tyler and Luke, but if you happen to see or talk to her today, make sure you wish her the happiest of Birthdays today.

Happy Birthday Hayley.

Saturday

Here I sit on a quiet Saturday Morning, actually twister is playing on the boob tube so that is not completely true. My Co-author who was up earlier is now sequestered somewhere and back to sleep for a while.

Yesterday was a pretty eventful day to say the least. I worked for RTI and got my first of four segments listed. I'll take the weekend off and tackle the largest segment on Monday, one that is actually in the middle of the state.

We had some guests yesterday, Ashley, Christopher, Lilly and the unforgetable Rock Star Rocky stopped by for a  visit. They moved to I think South Carolina a couple of years ago and they stopped yesterday afternoon as they are back in the area for a few days. I however was out running an errand and missed them.

Afterwards Hayley stopped by as she was in town. I don't think I have seen here since we were looking at wedding venues together. This Corona Virus has taken a big toll on visitations.

Today, Michelle and I will be running to Rural king to get some food for our wild aviary friends who always stop by for a visit at one of our many feeders in the back yard. Still haven't seen any hummingbirds yet, but they'll start showing up sometime. Other than that the day is ours.

Have a great day, make it memorable.

Big Ole Hairy Friday

Yes it is once again that time of the week that we all look foreword to, when we can take time to cease the labors for the week and take a little bit of needed time out to enjoy the fruits of those labors. It is once again the dawn of another weekend and a Big Ole Hairy Friday....or something like that

Well today I actually get to go out and make some kind of a difference in the world, I'll be heading out to the field to do some listing work for RTI. We have gotten the go-ahead to do listing and I have a few segments to do, and that is what I am going to go out and do today. I'll be in the car all day, so it's not like I will be interacting with anyone.

Michelle will be at home working today, she went to Clarksburg yesterday morning to work, but was home by the afternoon. They are still remodeling the Goff building in Clarksburg and she'll move into her new office when it's completed.

Have yourselves a great day today.

HI HO HI HO!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Gary Hall

I would like to take this opportunity to wish the best brother any man could ever hope for a very Happy Birthday today.

It's Gary Allen Hall's birthday today, I've lost count as to how many years he is old, but I'm 21 so that should make him about....49

Gary is currently living in the Moundsville area and getting his business back up and running. He's really got the right mindset this time and he is more than capable of making it all happen and cornering the construction market in the area. He is an amazing Carpenter and all around carpenter.

Not sure what he has planned for today, I wouldn't be afraid to wager that he is probably working today, but that is just my guess.

If you happen to see or talk to Gary today, make sure that you take a minute or two to wish him a very Happy Birthday today.

Happy Birthday Gary.

I wish this picture was a little more in focus, but we'll take it as it is very significant. This image was taken at one of the Friends and Family Picnics that we used to have. It's a picture of my sister Kim, niece Brittany, Michelle and myself at Krepps Park.

That big ole flag was a present that Michelle and I had given to Brittany to honor her graduating from West Virginia University.  I had worked with my congressman to purchase the flag and the significance of it is that this is a flag that was flown over the US Capital Building in Washington DC on the day that Brittany received her Degree from WVU. She brought it to the picnic to show me that she had received it.

If you ever know of an event you would like to do this for for someone, you just need to contact your congressman. In North Central WV you can order one here.

Have a great day today, make it memorable as this one was.

Middle of the Week Kind of Day

A couple of days gone (I think) now you just have a few more ahead of you (I think), now all you have to do is get up and over this noon time hum (I think) and it will be all downhill working towards another weekend (I think).

It's not hard to lose track as to what day of the week it is, that's kind of obvious, especially when you really don't have a set target point you're really aiming towards (like a weekend or a day off). I'm pretty sure it is Wednesday and I think we are in the month of June (I think).

Well my segment materials that were supposed to be here on Friday or Monday didn't arrive, I was given a notification that they would be here Tuesday. As of yesterday morning they still have not been even picked up yet. As of the time of me writing this, it has still not been picked up from the shipper, only a label has been created. So I'll be doing some work for RTI, when it ever arrives (I think).

There were some peaceful protests in the city of Morgantown yesterday. It all started on the court house square and then paraded around down and then they all laid down on the street for a few minutes for the BlackLivesMatter movement which is to protest the death of George Floyd in Minnesota who died while under a police officers knee for 8 minutes crying that he could not breath.

Have yourselves a great day

* Michelle is working from home still, it may be a while as things are progressing slowly.

* My listing materials for RTI should be arriving sometime today

* Michelle will be continuing training today for her work

* Speaking of Michelle, I think she will be in the Clarksburg Office tomorrow.

* Corona Virus, you can still track it here.

* They STILL have not found Mountie Python, the 15' snake that escaped in Sabraton this summer.. He even has his own twitter account. Although my guess is that snake is deceased.

* I'm STILL converting some old VHS tapes to Digital Format for Trish. I really need to get back on this as I am such a procrastinator.

Monday

All good things must unfortunately come to an end, and that does include those fun filled things we refer to as weekends. Now it is time to take our collective noses and stick them back onto the grindstone for another fun filled week of doing what it is we do for a living.

Looking at my week ahead, my segment materials for RTI should be being sent out today and I should receive them tomorrow. I have two segments that I have to list and that'll mean a couple of days of working for me this coming week.

Michelle is also going to have a busy week, she'll be in Clarksburg one day this week and she has three days worth of training that she needs to continue this week for some complex software that her company has purchased. We were actually talking last night about her job, this is the job that I think she loves the most in her career. MEPCO was great and offered all kinds of benefits, but she has come in on the ground floor of this company and it's just starting to expand in multiple directions and everything has been meeting or exceeding expectations. She loves where she is at career wise. Last year BFS tried to lure her back with an offer that she turned down, it turns out it was the correct career decision.

Have yourselves a great week and a great Monday.
