Yes readers it is once again that time of the week where we cease the our labors for the week and take time out to enjoy the fruits of our labors for a couple days, it is once again the WEEKEND!!!!
Anyone want to put an over/under bet on how long it will take Kim to order the new 32 GB iPod Touch ? We're getting those additional tax breaks this summer ($600 per person and $300 per child). Any Bets?
Speaking of the Rebates, here's a little information on them:
Singles
Determine Eligibility:
If you earned less than $3,000 - unfortunately you’d get nothing.
If you earned more than $3,000 but paid no taxes, you’d get $300.
If you earned more than $3,000 and paid taxes, you get $600.
If you have children, add $300 per.
Determine Phaseout Reduction:
The phaseout levels begin at $75k and end at $87k, at a reduction of 5% per $1,000 over the lower limit. If you earn above $87k, you’re over and thus get nothing regardless of the math.
Couples
Determine Eligibility (appears to be the same as singles):
If you earned less than $3,000 - unfortunately you’d get nothing.
If you earned more than $3,000 but paid no taxes, you’d get $600.
If you earned more than $3,000 and paid taxes, you get $1,200.
If you have children, add $300 per.
These checks will come in May, June or July.
Diane and I have mentioned about trying to go out to Dinner and a movie this weekend. We have yet to decide about where we are going or what we may see. I told her it's her choice this time, so the Chick Flick just may be in the cards for me.
I think Phil gave me a read yesterday and must have had a talk with ole Mother Nature. We did get a little bit more snow, but the temps at least warmed up a little bit. Now if we could just convince my little rodent buddy to get rid of the rest of this white stuff on the ground and give us favorable softball weather I would much very appreciative.
Enjoy your weekend.
