Tuesday's Tidbits
* Monday is over with, hopefully there are a lot less deer available for you to hit with your car this week. Sounds like a good reason to do a tidbits.
* It has been 21,516 days since I was born, that is 21 years using my new, new, and improved 1,000-day Calender. I do have to say I start to feel my age of older than 21.
* It has been 6,776 days since I graduated from WVU with a Degree in Geography. 18+ years ago and still doing GIS and enjoying every minute of it.* 4,583 days ago I proposed to Michelle in the backyard at 4:00 in the morning.
* It was 4,126 days ago in front of our closest friends and family, for the most part, Michelle and I became husband and wife at the Marilla Center, we poured sand into a vase and said our I do's and we were hitched. How many people keep track of hoa many days they have been married 11+ years later?
* I have 3,410 days to go until I retire, give or take a few hundred days here or there, but I love doing what I do. Who knows though, doing what I do I may never retire.
* Older Drone still needs to be sent out for repairs, not a big priority at this time. My little drone is awesome and I really like it....when I take time out to fly it.

Monday
Michelle is off today, she has a Doctors appointment this morning. She's been having some trouble with her neck and has been going to a Chiropractor and has a follow up this morning with him. Either that or her Mom has an appointment this morning, not sure which one it is. She also has something she is doing this afternoon, so keep your fingers crossed.
Looking at my week ahead, Michelle and I as well as her entire clan will be traveling to East Liverpool on Wednesday. It's going to be a one day event and everything will be done at the Funderal Home as well as a dinner afterwards across the parking lot.
Other than that I will once again have a busy week, I will have next Sunday off which will be nice after working both days this past weekend.
Have yourselves a great day.

Happy Birthday Valarie Jo
Val is a remarkable young lady who is an inspiration to those around her whether she realizes it or not, her actions are seen by all and she is influencing the next generation whether this is her intention or not.
If you happen to see Val today, make sure that you wish her a very Happy Birthday in addition to recovering from Thursday's overdosing of tryptophan.
Happy Birthday, Val you are an inspiration to all.
Saturday Morning Ramblings
So what is up today you might ask? I'm working once again and am determined to get my 60 hours in this week as well as taking Thanksgiving Day off and all that had to be done with that. Michelle is going to run to the laundromat this morning to dry clothes and I''ll be working until noon.
Why Noon you ask? The Mountaineers will be playing their final game of the 2022 football season today when they travel to Oklahoma State to take on the Cowboys at Noon. I have next to no faith in this years team at this point, but I live and die with the Mountaineers so I'll be watching it. The game will be on ESPN 2 (channel 36 here in Morgantown) starting at noon.
Have yourselves a great day.

Monday and the start of Buck Season
In West Virginia today is the start of deer rifle season. It is arguably the most hunted day of the year in West Virginia and a season many men in West Virginia schedule vacations around. It's the day when basically the entire hunting population heads out into to woods seeking that trophy buck that they covet so much, or just simply to feed one's family. With that being said, let's hope for a safe hunt for all hunters everywhere, may they have the pleasure of returning home to their family safe and uninjured, and as icing on the cake with a nice trophy buck in tow.
Me, I'm still working 12's for Duquense Light this week with the exception of Thursday. I'm going to make up for Thursday between yesterday and this coming Saturday. That way I can get all my time in and be as productive as possible when the deadline is fast approaching and not have it hurt me because Thanksgiving is not a Holiday.
Michelle is also working most of this week, her office is shut down on Thursday, but I'm pretty sure that they will be open on Black Friday.
Have yourselves a great day and the start of a great week.

Sunday
Well since this week is the week of Thanksgiving, and I'm just a contractor for Duquense Light, I don't get paid holidays and no one is on-site as it is a site-wide Holiday for them. With that being said, I'm probably going to be working a few hours today to make up for Thursday's Holiday (no we are not Thanksgiving Fish). The good news I work from home and I'm not rushing around from here or there, I just simply log in and go at it. I've been working 60 hours a week, so I'm going to try to get as close to that as possible today and next Saturday.
With all of that being said, the students are gone this week, so traffic should be a little less hectic this week with the majority of the population out of town. It should make grocery shopping this morning a little less crowded, but most of the people who shop were we shop when we shop are usually locals so there will be little impact on that.
Have yourselves a great day.

* Monday is over with and Kiwi is still bragging from Saturday. With that being said it is Tuesday and you know what that means.

Monday
We did see our first snow fluries of the season yesterday morning, I know Michelle was doing her secret little snow dance she does when she wants to see the white powdery stuff littered all over the ground. As you can tell, I am not a big fan of that crap and prefer springtime weather.
Looking at my week ahead there is nothing really on my agenda this week, I'll be working 12 hour shifts this week for Duquense Light as we are trying to finish up this project in a timely manner. I don't mind because I'll be a day short next week with Thanksging day next Thursday. We'll also be returning to the Cassville Firehall that day for the first time since COVID, so I will be looking forward to that as I am sure everyone else will be as well.
Kiwi is still gloating and bragging that he coached the WVU Defense in the 4th quarter and he and he alone with his birds eye view is unscored upon this year when he is calling the defensive plays. We're going to have to negotiate him a better contract.
Have yourselves a great day.

Saturday
The Mountaineers are playing at home today in Football. The game is actually at noon today against Oklahoma, and it will be broadcast on FS1 (Channel 30 here in Morgantown). If you are running around town today, be careful as there will be a lot more traffic than on normal days. Next weekend is the last home game for the season before they play their last game in two weeks on the road.
I worked 60 hours this past week for Duquense Light, so I am off today. Last weekend I made up some hours prior to us being given the extra 10 hours per week mid week, this week I have them all in already and am not working today. Yeah Me.
I did learn yesterday that Gallagher, who happens to be my all-time favorite stand-up comic had passed away. I used to love watching his Showtime Specials and I really related with his amazing brand of comedy. I was fortunate enough to see him live once. He's been here multiple times, but I was playing High School Sports on the night he was appearing in Morgantown so I never got the chance to see him until about 12 or so years ago.
Have yourselves a great day.

Big Ole Hairy Friday
Are you looking for a little bit of High School Football action? The playoffs begin tonight when #14 Morgantown travels to #3 Martinsburg for their matchup. Number 13 University High travels to Hurricane WV for their first-round game. #15 Clay Battelle travels to Williamstown WV for their first-round game. Good luck to all the teams tonight, hopefully, someone wins so I can keep talking about this next week.
I was going to have a big announcement about me starting a new job, one that the official offer came in September, however since it is hard to find housing in Fredericksburg that I have requested that I don't start until after the first of the year. What does this mean, at the very least I will be home for the Holidays.
Today is a Federal Holiday, it is Veterans Day. A big thank you to all the veterans who served our country in either peace time or during a conflict. My nephew Moke served a tour in Iraq and Jonathan's daughter Sarah did three tours in Afghanistan and Iraq (two at one).
Speaking of the Holidays, Jim and Chris are doing Thanksgiving this year at the Cassville Firehall after a few year hiatus. My sister Kim was talking about everyone going bowling after dinner as they usually do. Terri wants to keep that years long tradition going.
Have yourselves a great Day.

Photo Flashback Thursday
Once a week I like to take a little bit of time out, time to look at some of the 30,000+ photos that I have stored on my computer. Little lost moments in time that I either captured with a lens, scanned, or just stole from someplace on the internet. I like to find just one and post it up and recall or relive the picture to the best of my ability. Sometimes this is a pretty easy task and sometimes it's not that easy, one thing it has always been a whole lot of fun.
\This one is one of my all-time favorites, it's of my Dad years ago when they visited Florida and he was sitting out and getting the ducks drunk by dipping some bread into his beer. It brings back the time when my Dad was not only alive, but happy and full of life. When you think about it, I'm pretty sure he was only about 48 in this picture, an age that me and all of my siblings have all passed.
Have yourselves a great day

Tuesday's Tidbits
* Monday is over with, staring at a Tuesday. I'm wish I was a Billionaire this morning but I'm not, so I guess I'll settle for the next best thing a tidbits.

Monday
If you are up for it, there is going to be a rocket launch this morning at 5:30 AM from Wallops Island that will be briefly available to see here about 3 minutes into the launch. If you are up and they launch, it may be worth a look out your window.
I did not hit Powerball Saturday Night, this evening's drawing is going to be an estimated $1.9 Billion making it the largest jackpot in history. Don't overdo it and plat responsibly, I know everyone wants a ticket to dream, but your odds are astronomical to win. Michelle and I have our tickets plus I'm a part of a group that will probably be buying 1,000 tickets or better. Your payout is based on how many shares you pay for.
Have yourselves a great day

Sunday Morning Ramblings
Did you remember to turn your clocks back last night before you went to bed, or are your clocks set automatically? Daylight Savings time has officially ended and we won't push those clocks ahead until March 12, 2023. Most of mine do it automatically, except for 5 of them in the house and the 2 in the cars.
Our schedule for the day, going grocery shopping. What else do we do on Sunday Mornings? It's almost like a ritual for us where we go to the store after planning the week's meals and getting what we need for the week. As of press time we hve not determined this weeks meal plans yet, but I'll get right on that with Michelle.
It's a Day off for me, so there could be a nap in store for me at some point today.
Have a great day, make it a special one and make some memories.

Saturday Morning Ramblings
As I stated I'm working part of the day today, I'll start at my normal time and am only planning on working part of the day. We're trying to get this network online by the end of the year for Duquense Light and they are throwing money at it left and right, so I'll take advantage of it while I can.
With me working, Michelle is going to go and dry clothes for us today, it's something that I usually get up early and do on Saturday Mornings, but she is going to do it while I work. Teamwork.
Don't forget to set your clocks back an hour tonight, if you don't you're going to be an hour early for anything you are trying to do tonight.
West Virginia plays Iowa State this afternoon, the game will be on ESPN+ for those of you who subscribe to that. I have a subscription, but who knows if I will be watching. If we don't win this game we will lose out for the rest of the season in my opinion. This is the most winnable game left on the schedule and I'm not too sure how confident I am in this season. The game is on at 3:30.
Don't forget to put a couple of bucks on Powerball, $1.5 Billion Jackpot tonight.
Have yourselves a great day.

For this weeks pic I thought I would turn the clock back to the beginning of the Summer. Ralph and Amy held a big family get-together at their home. Bella being the Diva that she is wanted me to take some pictures of her and kept making sure that my attention was on her.
She and Ryleigh were at Pam and George's when we stopped by this past weekend, I thought it would be a great time to bring a picture up of her for my Photo Flashback.

Tuesday's Tidbits
* Monday is over with, staring at a Tuesday. One of a few good reasons to do tidbits today, that and I survived Halloween.
