Yesterday I had to say goodbye to an old friend, one that had been with me for a few years but she was starting to show her age, especially when a wheel well fell off of it and I had to go back and pick it up. LP, my little car has been a great little car for me, it was a Point A to point B car and it more than served its purpose for me. She was pretty reliable and worked great for the purposes that I needed to use it for. Cars however do get older and it comes to a time when they have to be retired.
Enter Ice Ice Baby as Michelle refers to it. It's a bluish gray depending on what angle you looking at it from. LP had served its purpose and it was time to move on from that little car. We bought a 2018 Subaru Forester from John Howards yesterday afternoon, I just realized that it was either time to throw some money into LP or just go and buy a new car. As Michelle was coming home from Beaver yesterday, I told her to meet me at John Howards so we could test drive a few cars.
We had stopped by a couple of weeks ago look at what Subaru had to offer, we know we wanted to stay with Subaru and this is what we decided on.
I'm going to take Pearl and let Michelle have Ice, since she decided on all the features that she wanted in a new car. Pearl was a basic car, Ice is a Premium package that has a moon roof, heated mirrors a few driving safety features like the car will basically drive itself, a backup camera, and number of other features that Pearl just didn't have such as Eyesite, which will save us on the insurance. This was actually the second one we test drove, we drove a red one but it did not have blind spot detection or fog lights bu this one did, so this is our new car.
It also has Starlink which is a nice added feature in case anything would ever go wrong.
Have yourselves a great day today.

Tuesday's Tidbit
* Well I have to say that we do have Monday under our belts, although we spent it at home with the blue footed Boobie and he was hiding from the snow and cold. Still can't think of a better reason to do a tidbits.
* It has been 2,152 days since Michelle and I went on our first date together.
* 1,374 days ago on a morning that was much more warmer and with a lot less snow, I proposed marriage to her.
* 913 days ago in front of our closes friends and family we exchanged our wedding vows and entered a world of Marital bliss.
* I have 6,509 days to go until I retire, give or take a few.
* 330 days to go until New Years Eve and my Goodbye 2014 Blog. I wonder if I will mention that I hate snow in that blog as well.
* I Hate Snow.
* You have 324 more shopping days left until Christmas. Never too early to get a start for the season.
* 183 days to go until Michelle and My's third wedding anniversary.
* 44 days until Spring. I don't think they can get here quick enough.
* Dropping LP off at the garage to get a few things looked at that we agreed to have fixed when I bought her.
* Putting Pearl in the repair shop tomorrow to fix her boo boo.
* NETL closed for only the second time since I have been there yesterday. It was also the second time in the past few weeks.
* I found a great website to see how traffic and road conditions are around the state, WV511.org is pretty awesome. Morgantown even has three cameras around town.
* This is my 3,537th blog post that I have written.
* Hi ho hi ho

Meet Little Pearl aka LP
Yes I have finally retired the old Ford Taurus, we managed to get 5 good years out of a $2,100 investment on an old retired fleet car from Michelle's company. 215,000+ miles on it and to be honest with you it has seen its better days, so we decided to replace it. Would you believe the Taurus actually had no heat in it. It is a well know issue with linkage under the dash and we had it repaired once. So it was either time to throw more money into it (just had a battery which I got under warranty) on a new starter or it was just time to retire it.
So I did a little looking around yesterday, my second day off this week, and found a Nice 2007 Subaru Legacy that I bought yesterday. Michelle and I both are very comfortable with Subarus and it was Pearl White color just like the Forester. Hence where the name came from. The Forester we named Pearl due to the color of the car and it was a neat sounding name. When we saw this one, the first thing we thought of was "Little Pearl" or "LP" as we are starting to call her.
I have a claim started with Pearl from my accident on Sunday, we have to take it to an adjuster and have them look at it and report back to our Insurance Company.
I guess my extended weekend is over.
