Here I sit in a quiet household, Kiwi and Peanut and even Lucy are upset with me that none of them will be going to the Zoo today. Who would have thought that you can't bring your own pets to the zoo, but Kiwi has been insisting that the Giraffe is his friend and he wants to ride down his back. Sorry Charlies, no pets at the zoo today.
Speaking of, it is a Zoon Day. Michelle and I will be heading to Hovatter's Zoo this morning so Michelle can get her french kissing a giraffe moment on. We're planning on taking Mom, provided she is up to it after a brief hospital stay this week. She asked us to take her the next time we go and this is it. It's going to be mostly Michelle's family, but we have invited a few from my family to go if they want. Hovatter's is a local zoo that has grown and grown over the past 20 or so years. I'm anxious to see what improvements have been made since the last time we visited a couple of years ago. I know they have a new feature out front, with a Koi Pond and a Monkey viewing area.
Other than that, not sure of our agenda for the day. Shopping may be a tomorrow thing or a later this afternoon thing. We'll have to assess the situation as I make it up to a couple of pets.
