Ohio Christmas

Here I sit once again in a quiet household, I'm up early and Chad is back in his room playing some online computer game. I have the TV on, I watched the movie Chef, but it is over with now and I may restart it, but all is quiet with the exception of Sammy and Sophie Partying and listening to the soundtrack of Elf.

We are heading out early this morning and heading North to East Liverpool Ohio for Gigi's 2017 Christmas. This is Michelle's 96 year old Grandmother whose home we do the Ohio family Christmas at every year.

The family will get together, have fun, talk football, give out some prizes and play the all important games of Bingo for door prizes and the final cash cover all as the days festivities winds down.

From there we will head over to Calcutta to visit her Dad and Karen and spend a little bit of time with that side of the family before we head on back to West Virginia.

The day will however start with us heading to Tanger Outlets, Michelle outgrew her winter coat with all the weight loss and she would like a new winter coat, so we're heading to the Columbia Store or where ever else we can find what she wants and likes.

Have yourselves a great day today, I hope it is filled with the opportunities to make special memories.

On the Road Again

It's a travel kind of day for us, Michelle, Chad, Hayley and myself will be loading up the car in a few hours as we head north to East Liverpool Ohio to do Christmas at Michelle's Grandmother's home and her Dad's home for 2016.

I think the biggest question for me and everyone else is how is my Brother in law Jim going to be creative and deliver Michelle's Grandmother's GG, her Peanut Present this year.

It's a running joke between the two of them and Jim had been very creative through the years in surprising her somehow with some cleverly disguised Peanuts. Just seeing what creative way he delivers them is worth the trip alone.

Afterwards we will head over to her Dad's home with the crew to celebrate Christmas with her Dad and Karen at their home.

It's going to be a day full of travel, good food, good people and memories. My advice to everyone is enjoy it, because these days don't happen every day.

Have a great day.

Travel Day

Here I sit yet once again in a quiet household, I'm the fir one to recover from a losing battle with the dreaded Sandman last night and I'm up early watching Gasland on some channel and collecting my thoughts for the day.

Today we are hitting the road and headed to East Liverpool Ohio for a couple of stops today. First stop will be Michelle's Grandmothers House where this years festivities have moved back to after a two year absence. Her Cousin Julie has hosted the last couple of years, but this year it is going back to her Grandmother Ruth's.

After that we will head across town and spend a little bit of time with her Dad and do a brief Christmas Celebration with him and Karen at their home, and of course we can't forget Spencer the 28 toed cat.

After that we will be heading back to Morgantown as we will both be returning to work tomorrow. Sadly this year the travel day is on a Sunday as opposed to a Saturday, with Michelle working ridiculous hours and being there by 4:00 pretty much every day, this may be a shorter day of visitations than normal so we can get her some rest.

Have yourselves a great day.
