Auction Saturday

Here I sit in a non-quiet household. Kiwi is taking a break from studying to be a Doctor and has decided he wants to be like Uncle Jim and be an Auctioneer. He's been practicing all night and into the early morning just in case Jim and Chris need any assistance this evening.

Speaking of an Auction, Jim and Chris (otherwise known as P&P Auctions) is having their biggest auction of the year. The 2024 Christmas Auction starting this afternoon at 4:00, a couple of hours earlier than their traditional start time because of the size of this auction. Michelle will be there assisting at the front door, stop over and say hello and tell her you found out about this auction on George's Journal and you could be a VIP Member (where they let you sit down during the auction). It is going to be a big auction with plenty of Christmas stuff for everyone. They spent all day yesterday setting up for today's auction, so there will be plenty of auction items.

What is on my agenda? I'm going to watch football. It's Saturday in the fall, and the Mountainers play today at noon against the Cincinnati Bearcats at their place. Hopefully, it should be a good one, and the Mountaineers can return home with this one in the win column. Starting QB Garrett Greene is once again out this game due to an upper body injury (concussion), so Nicco Marchiol will be behind center for the Mountaineers.

Have yourselves a great day.

Busy Saturday

Here I sit yet once again, the household is quiet, except for Kiwi who is in his cage singing Bee Gees classics. He likes the Bee Gees. I'm up a little early and slowing getting around.

I'll be leaving for Fairmont this morning, working for RTI once again and both today and tomorrow. Hopefully the weather will be good to me and I won't get rained on or burn up in the heat.

Michelle is going to be working the Auction this evening at Woodland. Jim and Chris are having what I think is their first auction since COVID. They have been out of it for a couple of years and their inventory dwindled down, but I guess Jim has purchased a couple of estates and will try moving some of the items. If you bring a baked good, you get 5 free raffle tickets for baked goods. Stop in and say hello to Michelle.

Now this could all change if I hit the lottery last night, I hope I won, I always wanted to be a Billionaire.

Have yourselves a great day.

Saturday Morning Rambings

Here I sit in the early morning, I'm the first one once again to recover from a losing battle with that dreaded Sandman and am up watching GI Jane on HBO and trying to get some scores from around the world.

Sidney Switzer Softball  represented the US yesterday in the first round game against the Dutch National Team in the Netherlands. The US team 2-1 in the opening game and the game was streamed for all to see. Her second round game started at 4:00 AM US time, but the stream isn't working and I can't get any updates. At 7:00 AM our time they play their third pool game against the Czech Republic. This round robin pool will determine the seedings for the tournament. UPDATE before I can Post the Blog, they won their second round game 3-0.

My brother in law Jim is having his "Chocolate Lovers Delight" auction this evening at 6:00 at the Cassville Fire Hall. They are auctioning of a WVU gnome, much like our Steelers Gnome, but dressed in WVU Colors.

Michelle and I will be paying attention to what is going on at the WV Grand Bash, as we try to win one of the prizes in this monster raffle that benefits WVU Children's Hospital.

Have a great day.

Auction Today

I just saw that my brother-in-law Jim is having an auction today at the Cassville Firehall. He'll have a number of items up for auction today at 6:00. Come on out, they are going to have a 50/50 drawing and probably a number of consignors with merchandise up for sale as well.

Michelle is not up yet, so I'll talk to her then as to whether or not we're going to go. I know she likes to go occasionally to visit family of nothing else.
